Mondeo MK4 speedometer removal

In this video I show you how to remove the cluster or speedometer from Ford Mondeo MK4 that was made from 2007 to 2014, please use this video as a guide only as variations may occur between different model years.

Great video. My gauges went insane, only the rev counter still worked properly. Followed the video, took the cluster apart, manually reset them, did a gauge sweep test and now all working!

How do you do a guage sweep test

@@minkeysex press the left hand 'OK' button as you start the car and you'll be in the test menu, I think gauge sweep is the first option:

Good job! You can also use a plastic card to loosen the metal tab at the top.

Thanks for the tutorial. It was easier than I expected. The cluster on my 07 mondeo goes completely dark and when I hit the side of cluster it used to come back on. The other day it went again and never came back when I hit the dashboard. When I took the cluster off and released the cable and put it back on it came back. I may look into the problem further but at least I can see how fast I'm going now 😀

Great video, it also shows near the end where the parking sensor speaker is hidden. Screwed to the underside of the top of the dash, which was why mine didnt work.
