    I think this has to be the best video on how to remove the Mondeo mk3 clusters on youtube. I'm needing to change a bulb in mine and your video has made it look really easy. 👍

    I have one of these cars and wondered how easy it would be if cluster bulbs needed replacement. What a damned faff. All that strip down especially with ageing plastic. Excellent video and talk through.

    My 17 year old Mondeo has just had its first bulb ever!! blown in the dash,so this video is exceptional. But I'm useless so I won't be bothering 😂

    Pěkné profesionální video, ostrý obraz , žádné švejkování a třesot obrazu, pomalé detaily demontáže nebo montáže. Skvělé ,prosím pokračujte.

    Thank you very much for this video. I started to wonder whether it be possible to cut, drill or saw the last plastic shield before the actual speedometer etc module in order to directly get access to the 2 screws and not need go through from underneath the steering column. But anyway, thanks a lot and happy new year to you and your family and everybody watching your interesting channel.

    I ordered several types of bulbs until I found the right ones: the bigger ones are T10 W3W, (not W5W), and the little ones (I found at ebay) are T5 1.2W.

    One more thing. Before placing the cluster in its place check if all the arrows are at their correct place.

    Thanks for the video. Do you have any clue for the type of the smaller bulbs? Are you sure about the watts for them, 0,9?

    Aren't there more blubs that you plug in on the PCB side of the light cluster, main beam for example?

    I have the same ford mondeo as yours. The speedometer of my car works intermittently and that to shoes much less speed than actual speed. Can you help me on this?

    • @CraigsDIY
      @CraigsDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Drive faster.
      No sorry, sounds like it might be the speed sensor (VSS). You'll have to check for codes (?) then check VSS cable, connector, and sensor itself.

    Just a few things
    If you have climate control, the interior temperature sensor is by your left knee, behind the little vent in the lower panel
    You have to unclip this before the panel can be removed
    Also worth cleaning this while you have the hoover out
    And if you have the white dials from the st range, the white background really is difficult to see the needles against, I've tried various bulbs of both normal and led versions and they are all terrible at illuminating the actual needles
    Both the inner screws and screw holes in the plastic covers for the steering wheel have been missing on every car I've tried to get replacements for so people often seem to miss these

    • @CraigsDIY
      @CraigsDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the additions. My car does lack climate control.

      @@CraigsDIY I've had to take mine out because the reset button is broken so here a quick video to show where the sensor is
      It simply twists out of the holder so no need to unplug it

    I put 24v warm white leds in my cars dash. They are just the same brightness as stock. Dont get hot like most of the cheap crap out there.
