Talk to them a lot they can hear what you say and they know what you say they never forget anything don’t lie to your budgie for an expanse say “I’m going to turn the tv down” ang you never do if you were to show violence to a budgie they will show violence back just pet them and if they go away tell them “I’m not gonna grab you or hurt you” they will let you pet them never force a budgie to do something they don’t want!

Hello Alen I will tell my story a funny story!I woke up and I got to watch my budgies then I saw a broken egg I take it and put in the breeding nest my budgie named rainbow was in the breeding nest,trying to lay eggs,I put the broken egg in the nest...then I saw she is incubating that broken egg 🙂😀😂😂😂😂😂!!!!!!!
I got my budgies while they were so young, around 4 weeks old, I fed them myself back then, and they sometimes do fight ( or maybe play). I did teach them some easy trick and can hold them, they came to me whenever I call for them or put my finger in front of them. they won't let me scratch their head at all, one of them does sometimes bite me if I came near on different bases so I guess that's because they both are molting. they're they both are a male and female, and around 4 months old
its not really surprising that small birds love millit, its a complex carb which has got to be really good for the fast matabolism of a little bird. Simple carbs, like rice and sugars give a lot of energy quickly, but its gone just as fast and often suddenly. Complex grains don't give quite as much energy, but they give that anergy a LOT longer, taking more time to digest, but also providing neutrition the whole time. Besides birds thinking its yummy, it probably makes their tummies feel good too.
I got my first budgie on October 5th and need help training him. He will hop onto my hand to eat seeds but won’t hop onto my finger or let me pet him. Whenever I try to put a perch in front of him he flys around. Help?
i started holding out treats to them until they dared nibble on them with my fingers nearby in time they were not scared of my hand anymore now im in the second phase of holding the treat slightly out of reach so they have to step on my fingers to get it its looking good, i managed to get them both to perch on my index finger it was the cutest thing ever as soon as they're tame i will let them out the cage to fly and play around ^__^
