your videos are excellent and very informative. It is helping me alot for my ride in July. Camping- Pitt-DC and back! That's a highly rated beer by the way! Thanks for the great videos Brian.

....hey Brian.. I always enjoy your videos! Drove from California in June 2016, parked in Cumberland and did the GAP out and back in 7 days... It was wonderful... Drove to DC in October of 17 and rode to Pittsburgh... Pretty much rained all the way from DC to Meyersdale...and then it was pretty nice all the way into Pittsburgh.. I can still taste the mud!.... Can't wait to go back and do it again!

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoy them. I rode the GAP in 2016 and part of the GAP/C&O in 2017. Something about it keeps me wanting to keep coming back.

I tented at Evitts Creek. Not bad place but close to Cumberland with local folks dropping in....plus train noise all night. Definitely an ear plug site.

I have stayed at Evitts Creek too. It was not bad, but I like the trains. :)

I enjoyed your video on the trail. When did this trip take place as I am considering doing the GAP and C&O canal path in 2021.

We did that trip in the spring of 2019. Bucket list ride for sure.

Looks like a nice trip, I am a long time cyclist however never bike packed. Can I ask how much gear you carry in all the bags? I was wondering if I could get by with less bags
    Thanks

Thanks for watching! It really depends on the trip and what you are doing for lodging. I have done lightweight bikepacking to fully loaded touring, it just takes time to figure out what you like. It's all personal preference.
