My dad got me Epic Mickey when I was 9 in 2010, and all these years I’ve been humming these tunes to myself. Now I’m 22 in college for film. I cried my silly heart out when I woke up to the news of the remaster coming out soon. I cannot wait to stream this game for my friends who never got the chance to play, WE’RE BACK LADS!!!
This is probably my favorite video game soundtrack ever. I love how the music for this game adds so much to the atmosphere and balances the darkness of the Wasteland and the magic of Disney perfectly. Thanks for making this game truly epic!

Theme of my childhood man, I loved this game . It came out when I was 8 and I must have played it through at least 6 times in the following years. The theming and music was so cool and unique, especially coming from the Mickey IP. And the fear and sadness you felt going through the dilapidated world made for an awesome, memorable experience It's 10 year anniversary's coming up and I'd love to see the game get a remaster on modern hardware, but that's a pretty far-fetched dream after what happened to Junction Point

( a prototype of Toontown Online ) - ToonTown from ToonTown Online ( except the buildings are bigger and bouncy ) and Disney Town from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. We even see the Toontown hills from Mickey's Toontown. As well as: - The House of Mouse ( night club from the Disney series of the same name ) - The Laugh Factory ( seen in the DVD menus of Walt Disney Funny Factory DVDs ) and The Rubber Room ( from Bonkers ). Man, what a way of Mickey. It screams everything Disney personally. The nostalgia from all the old cartoons (even though some us haven't grew up with it) and from this very game. What a game. So much more than any 'cheap trying to jump on video game profit' game. I am so happy we are back boys
So one week ago it was through these comments that I learned that a remake was announced. And it put a big smile on my face. I was even in the middle of another playthrough! The timing was great.
Yep. It was revealed during the recent Direct, though most of it seemed to be focused on the visuals and cutscenes with some platforming thrown in. Thanks to some leaks, though, we also know there's gonna be new attacks, costumes implemented from the sequel, theater mode, and other stuff. (One of the leaks was just straight up video footage in what looked to be a dev box hub of sorts, meaning the footage likely came from within Purple Lamp in Austria.)
This track is definitely one of my favorites of all time, just the memory of this game alone brings back tears. Man, I'd kill to see it remastered for the Nintendo Switch; having it on the go and using the joycons' motion control to aim the paintbrush as on the Wii would be the ultimate dream for me. Anyway, thank you so so so so much for all the magic you brought to the game with its soundtrack. PS: My favorite track from the OST is the one of the clocktower boss, it was border on traumatic as a kid, but I couldn't help but be fascinated by this theme. I used to have a small toy that would play "It's a Small World" as a lullaby at my grandma's that she used to hang above my bed before kissing me goodnight, so having this theme revamped horror-style was sort of a shock haha.
@JimDooleyMusic If you could, would you want to return to the game, which I hope the new studio doesn't change the music as they are keeping the voices the same but with a audio enhancement from the original. Hope that the music only is high quality like these videos are.

Beyond sounding amazing to listen to, it’s evident that you put a lot of care into it. I love how you adapted source material into your work to give some familiarity but also twisted it to enhance the storytelling and world building. A great example of this is the small world boss fight theme. Each song is unique and instantly recognizable to someone as familiar with the game as I am. It really makes the playthrough feel like an adventure across a wide range of Disney’s history. To top it all off, you made leitmotifs! I think those are the hallmark of great compositions as they work so well in video games. All of my favorites have them. The game wouldn’t have been the same without you.

I remember watching my big sister play this game on one of our older TV's and we still have that same TV. Same with the old Wii and it still works to this date. Thank you for this amazing compose Jim! I remember this game very well due to the music and possibly amazing game-play and the cut-scenes. It all mixes together really well. We only had a few Wii games at the time and this was the one I was in love in for a very long time, especially when I see my big sister booting up the Wii to play it just to watch her. Now she is a Trans and I will remember all of it. Thank you for everything Junction Point. EDIT 22/02/2024: A Remake has appeared and fingers crossed it is amazing. The Intro is already very promising. Hopefully Purple Lamps doesn't stuff it up.
I want the remake to have a combination of both the original and the sequel's themes. That in my opinion is the perfect way to further emphasize on the fact that, EPIC MICKEY HAS RETURNED
Man I was really hoping you would be involved in Epic Mickey Rebrushed in some shape or form it's really disappointing that your not, I hope they give you credit for creating an epic soundtrack for an epic game.
I was pulling up onto my computer to play Ace Attorney Apollo Justice Trilogy and I usually pull up TH-cam to watch something while I play and I saw the cover art of Epic Mickey through the corner of my eye and I’m like “Okay, is this a generic video of Epic Mickey or something-” and then I had the biggest gasp of my life. This year is the best year of all time. The best game with the best music created by the best artist is BACK! If it does well, there’s a possibility of two things, and I’m pretty sure everyone knows what those two things are.
@@mightythearmiddilo. Third game was barely even in pre-production; That aside, patience: Let the original get it's time in the spotlight and then take the time needed to redeem the sequel. (Which, unlike the original, has fundamental problems with the writing and level design as well as the barely noteworthy co-op just to name a few.)
Been wanting to try this game series for a while now, since Mickey Mouse (Steamboat Willie incarnation) and Oswald are in the Public Domain, I thought this would be fitting to play for 2024 and the games are surprisingly cheap today's standards. I cannot wait to hear this music ingame see what I've been missing out on the previous generations of consoles. Regardless if the franchise gets remastered or not, here's to a best 2024 for everyone.

Jim you really made my childhood with the music of this awesome game. Remember playing it when I was 8 years old on my Wii. Now that I'm 20 I enjoy even more this game because I understand better the story and I love that Dark feeling the game gives me. ❤️

I remember watching my big sister play this game on one of our older TV's and we still have that same TV. Same with the old Wii and it still works to this date. Thank you for this amazing compose Jim! I remember this game very well due to the music and possibly amazing game-play and the cut-scenes. It all mixes together really well. We only had a few Wii games at the time and this was the one I was in love in for a very long time, especially when I see my big sister booting up the Wii to play it just to watch her. Now she is a Trans and I will remember all of it.

EDIT 22/02/2024: A Remake has appeared and fingers crossed it is amazing. The Intro is already very promising. Hopefully Purple Lamps doesn't stuff it up.

I want the remake to have a combination of both the original and the sequel's themes. That in my opinion is the perfect way to further emphasize on the fact that, EPIC MICKEY HAS RETURNED

Man I was really hoping you would be involved in Epic Mickey Rebrushed in some shape or form it's really disappointing that your not, I hope they give you credit for creating an epic soundtrack for an epic game.
I was pulling up onto my computer to play Ace Attorney Apollo Justice Trilogy and I usually pull up TH-cam to watch something while I play and I saw the cover art of Epic Mickey through the corner of my eye and I’m like “Okay, is this a generic video of Epic Mickey or something-” and then I had the biggest gasp of my life.
This year is the best year of all time. The best game with the best music created by the best artist is BACK!
If it does well, there’s a possibility of two things, and I’m pretty sure everyone knows what those two things are.

@@mightythearmiddilo. Third game was barely even in pre-production; That aside, patience: Let the original get it's time in the spotlight and then take the time needed to redeem the sequel. (Which, unlike the original, has fundamental problems with the writing and level design as well as the barely noteworthy co-op just to name a few.)
Been wanting to try this game series for a while now, since Mickey Mouse (Steamboat Willie incarnation) and Oswald are in the Public Domain, I thought this would be fitting to play for 2024 and the games are surprisingly cheap today's standards. I cannot wait to hear this music ingame see what I've been missing out on the previous generations of consoles.
Regardless if the franchise gets remastered or not, here's to a best 2024 for everyone.
