I'm elderly and have found that a Christmas Trees are too hard to put up and take down. I decided this year to decorate with Amaryllis. I have 6 white plants in bud in my window and a large red plant on a table. I hope my collection grows each year.

Thank you for the book recommendations. Just like the arrangement with the Amaryllis and all the found treasures of your winter garden, great garden books feed the soul when our gardens are recharging in the winter months. This video was like being gifted a beautiful bouquet to enjoy until it's time for our gardens to wake again. Bless you.

I love it when you mention books on your channel bc I'm not good at searching for purely floral books. Vegetable gardens are much easier to me for some reason. I'm looking all of these up 😊

I'm a history and adventure buff when it comes to flowers, plants & gardening (it's why I've collected old roses, many locally found & unnamed which I raise & identify.) The 2 books I'd recommend is The Orchid Thief by Susan Orlean (NOT to be mistaken with the movie of the same name,) and In Search Of Lost Roses by Thomas Christopher.
And for a great selection of antique historic garden bulbs, look up Old House Gardens (online.)
I'm unaffiliated with all, just love holding something in the hand with a long history.

I enjoyed watching this video. I always have to remove my tall flowers on my table (which defeats the purpose) so this was nice. I like how you used tape grid with your container. Your family and friends must be happy when they visit your beautiful home. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful with and without the amaryllis! If you need a little more time on the wired amaryllis you could tape in a piece of wet cotton at the stem base.

Thank you for more book recommendations. I was gifted a small piece of Francis Palmer pottery last year and is my most valued treasure. Now I must get her book. My book recommendations (I am sure from you in the past...LOL!): A Year Full of Flowers by Sarah Raven, The Layered Garden by David L. Culp, The Well-Tended Perennial Garden by Tracy DiSabatoAust and Mastering the Art of Flower Gardening by Matt Mattus. Maybe your followers will add you recommendations and these to their Christmas Wish Lists. I know I will be adding the ones you mentioned to mine!
