It was a female Mandalorian who spoke against killing millions to her superiors who then in turn stranded her with their victims and killed them all. Revan wears her mask thereafter in battle against the Mandalorians, almost like a ghost from the past. Pretty bad ass story telling, I'm surprised that Disney hasn't yet made a show detailing Revan yet. It's kinda like sitting on a goldmine and not extracting the gold. That sucks.

Aside from being unique in general, Revan is also arguably the most interesting and cool character in all of Star Wars. He is quite possibly the only one that truly understands the balance of light and dark.

@@eaton4559 The Knights of the Old Republic games explain a lot about Revan getting his memory wiped and how he is redeemed by the Jedi, if you play all the good choices that is. The games don’t go much into Revan’s backstory before he became a Sith, but the games are super cool. They allow you to make your own decisions, but the correct/canon way to go about it is to have your character be a white male with brown hair and make most or all the good choices in the game.

I really dont like the retcon that Revan fell to the dark side because of Vitiate's mind manipulation. I much prefer the KOTOR 2 explanation where Revan has his own reasons to "fall". The idea that "Revan never fell" and that he turned on the cause he loved to strengthen it and prepare them for Vitiate, is so much more intriguing than "brainwashed by the emperor"

But he's an OP character who experienced both a hero's journey and a villain's journey even after becoming OP. Revan is much like Luke in Return of the Jedi. Powerful, but his power is not important to the story and instead his choices are what makes a difference.

You cannot choose your color, the crystal chooses based on the wielder. Purple means he uses both the dark and light side of the force but I’m benefit of the light like Jedi master Mace Windu, Green represents power in the force more than anything else, and blue means skillful in lightsaber combat. Red represents a bleeding crystal for the sith. Revans saber was green until he came back from the dark and it became purple because of his knowledge in all aspects of the force.

In the mandolorian the blacksmith mandolorian talks about a war between mandolorian and Jedi which I think is what Revan was part of meaning he’s canon
I mean they have had plenty of wars, the surface of Mandalore is how it is, because the Jedi bombarded the shit out of it in a different war. The Jedi are the greatest warriors in the galaxy so it's kind of natural that the Mandalorians who fancy themselves the greatest would try to challenge them, never really worked out for them.
Revan is so good that the rule of two came into play giving the Jedi an advantage against the sith. Adding onto that he could basically solo everyone from the prequels to the sequels and win without the threat of death. He is easily one of the greatest in starwars
Playing KOTOR, I was always under the impression that Revan and Malak found something so utterly terrifying out there, that they saw it as absolute necessity to conquer the galaxy in order to unite it against a much bigger threat. It would make sense to draw on the dark side for bonus hit points. It it easy to see how Malak could get sidetracked and decide to continue conquering the galaxy for the sake of conquering it, bringing him and Revan to blows. Oh well, I guess we have this evil Sith Emperor (shocker!) up the sleeve.
Revan also had the rare ability to use the force to wield his lightsaber, the only others who can do this are his master who can use 3 lightsabers perfectly and mace windu to a much weaker degree
I think you worded that badly. What you meant was probably wield it using the Force as if being held by another Jedi/Sith. And rather than a rare ability, that would simply be a rare degree of precise control.
I would love it if Disney made a movie, movie series or just a tv series on the old republic. Like it can be at any point. There’s just so much they can do with Revan and they can even do something about the Star forge. Idk every trilogy has some kind of super weapon and a station that can make infinite ships is perfect super weapon material

I think the beauty of Revan is that he was the force. No matter what side he was on, he was always admired by both Jedi and Sith and the Mandalorian's for any and everything he did for the galaxy. From destroying the Mandalorian's for the war they were in, to then completely respecting him both Jedi and Mandalorian's. Then by destroying an entire political structure of the galaxy when he became a sith and starting to drift away from one power, into teaching it to others to help them of course "the rule of 2". That Darth Bane learned from. To every Jedi that studied Revan and Sith. He always believed in good/balance.

Fun fact, literally the only reason Mace Windu has a purple lightsaber is because Samuel L jackson wanted it. I'm sure Lucas films has probably tried to give some "actual" explanation of it, but it was literally just SLJ wanting a purple light saber.

Revan actually has a much stronger struggle than Vader and is a more complex character that showed flaws in Jedi teachings. While Vader was corrupted by the Emperor using Vader's wife as his weak point and redeemed himself only when emperor betrayed him anyway and only when his son was about to be corrupted, Revan joined the dark side out of necessity. He was a person that would wage war to save the others and if Revan didn't join the war, the galaxy would have fallen. Basically, Revan made a sacrifice and turned to the dark side and started using dark powers of the force to stop a much greater evil and that is what jedi teachings will never accept or even understand.
And this is why Darth Revan is my all-time favourite Sith, and I'm happy he's Canon now. On top of that, I can just picture Keanu Reeves playing / voicing Revan, as well. Either a TV show in the form of Disney+ (or other), a movie, a series of movies, or a combination of all 3, would be absolutely amazing.
"Perfectly balanced, as all things should be" Memes aside, I agree. Revan and Galen Marek (Starkiller) are very similar too. Similar story archs, personalities and potential. Is Galen make it to the age Revan did, I fully believe he too would've mastered both sides of the force. Unfortunately he died at 18 (and with all the abilities he has had from both games, both lives, it's actually quite impressive)
Also worth noting that Revan was skilled enough in the Force and possessed of a strong enough will to channel the Light Side and the Dark Side at the same fricken time.

No one considers Revan's will to be OP. He's Revan. He's supposed to be OP. The whole point is that he's an OP character. But he's an OP character who experienced both a hero's journey and a villain's journey even after becoming OP. Revan is much like Luke in Return of the Jedi. Powerful, but his power is not important to the story and instead his choices are what makes a difference.

You cannot choose your color, the crystal chooses based on the wielder. Purple means he uses both the dark and light side of the force but I’m benefit of the light like Jedi master Mace Windu, Green represents power in the force more than anything else, and blue means skillful in lightsaber combat. Red represents a bleeding crystal for the sith. Revans saber was green until he came back from the dark and it became purple because of his knowledge in all aspects of the force.

In the mandolorian the blacksmith mandolorian talks about a war between mandolorian and Jedi which I think is what Revan was part of meaning he’s canon
I mean they have had plenty of wars, the surface of Mandalore is how it is, because the Jedi bombarded the shit out of it in a different war. The Jedi are the greatest warriors in the galaxy so it's kind of natural that the Mandalorians who fancy themselves the greatest would try to challenge them, never really worked out for them.

Revan is so good that the rule of two came into play giving the Jedi an advantage against the sith. Adding onto that he could basically solo everyone from the prequels to the sequels and win without the threat of death. He is easily one of the greatest in starwars

Playing KOTOR, I was always under the impression that Revan and Malak found something so utterly terrifying out there, that they saw it as absolute necessity to conquer the galaxy in order to unite it against a much bigger threat. It would make sense to draw on the dark side for bonus hit points. It it easy to see how Malak could get sidetracked and decide to continue conquering the galaxy for the sake of conquering it, bringing him and Revan to blows.
Oh well, I guess we have this evil Sith Emperor (shocker!) up the sleeve.

There’s just so much they can do with Revan and they can even do something about the Star forge. unfortunately when that twist happened, i didnt understand at all what was happening, even when i did understand, i couldnt understand cos i was in full denial mode lmao cos i was a gud guy, and at 9yrs old my moral was pure and i couldnt get my head around bad things, like when that dad was willing to give away his wife & children, my mind blocked the information out and i just wanted to save his life lol (plus i was new to proper english, where i lived was half my language, half broken english lol)

I think the beauty of Revan is that he was the force. No matter what side he was on, he was always admired by both Jedi and Sith and the Mandalorian's for any and everything he did for the galaxy. From destroying the Mandalorian's for the war they were in, to then completely respecting him both Jedi and Mandalorian's. Then by destroying an entire political structure of the galaxy when he became a sith and starting to drift away from one power, into teaching it to others to help them of course "the rule of 2". That Darth Bane learned from. To every Jedi that studied Revan and Sith. He always believed in good/balance.

Fun fact, literally the only reason Mace Windu has a purple lightsaber is because Samuel L jackson wanted it. I'm sure Lucas films has probably tried to give some "actual" explanation of it, but it was literally just SLJ wanting a purple light saber.

Revan actually has a much stronger struggle than Vader and is a more complex character that showed flaws in Jedi teachings. While Vader was corrupted by the Emperor using Vader's wife as his weak point and redeemed himself only when emperor betrayed him anyway and only when his son was about to be corrupted, Revan joined the dark side out of necessity. He was a person that would wage war to save the others and if Revan didn't join the war, the galaxy would have fallen. Basically, Revan made a sacrifice and turned to the dark side and started using dark powers of the force to stop a much greater evil and that is what jedi teachings will never accept or even understand.

Is Galen make it to the age Revan did, I fully believe he too would've mastered both sides of the force. Unfortunately he died at 18 (and with all the abilities he has had from both games, both lives, it's actually quite impressive)

I was looking up the Origin of the name Revan. It comes form the French word Revanchism: which means recovery of something lost. Similar to the word revenant which means someone who returns from the dead.
