Yeah, after Danzig and the Temptations broke up, it just wasn't the same.
This is the best def lepard cover
Ready for the documentary
@@gstj210 😂😂😂🤘
Word on the street was it was over wardrobe choices
🤘😆😆😆
Dude, you don't create mashups, you create real music. Most mashups I've seen are just interesting or funny, the ones that you do make we want to hear again and again.
You are so right! I find myself going back and listening again and again!
Yep, me too. He's got versions of videos that are my most rewatched of all time.
Great way to say exactly how i feel!!!! It seems most if not all are better than the "originals"
He did create shit, you mouth breather
This is the best mashup of all time. I'm not crazy about Danzig but this does it justice lol
As a black kid that grew up on both metal and R&B, I feel like finding this was destined to happen.
This song warms my dark little heart. I honestly got chills listening to this after the guitar solo.
Same here bro. My parents bumped Motown while I listened to Death Metal
Right on! That Dimebag solo at the end really topped it off
Metoo!!!
just imagine rhythm'n'metal, better version of rapcore
Dime has a way of doing that 😁
Everyones sideburns are the true hero's in this
Not all heroes wear capes.
Some have side burns

... heroes* ...
Just watching it made me grow sideburns.
It's kinda interesting that it's a mash up between a song about about a bad relationship with a mother and a non-existent one with a father
“Mother” was a direct shot at the PMRC specifically Tipper Gore.
the frequency of the widow's son
@Rowan Melton Yes! the Parents Music Resource Center deciding which records should have Parental Advisory warnings and how to censor music.
@@RockNRollHouseFilms Interesting.
yeah it is not about a bad mother child relationship. it was about parents trying to cenaor music.
As a fan of both bands, I am impressed by the creativity. As a former recording engineer, I am impressed by how well you pulled it off.
Thanks for the awesome song.
Mash Mike, mash....
He’s got a GREAT EAR
Glad an engineer verified the hard work
Saw Danzig many times back in the early 1990’s. Met John Christ and Eerie Von in Subway right before a show at Bogarts in Cincinnati, Ohio back in 1990. Incredibly nice guys.
A ha. Now I believe my ears because I trust this comment.
I’m actually in tears.. two of my most favorite styles of music coming together in such a clash it works
I was younger and these songs were ahead of me but they are songs of my childhood none the leas
Same here!!
👏🙌🙌 high five from Brasil 🇧🇷
That soul voice on hard rock is amazing. The mashup between Ratt and Marvin Gaye is also an amazing combo.
And that, my friend is why I love Journey so much and ain't no one can say shit to me about it.
Hard rock singers are influenced by classic soul singers rather they are all part of the history of rock and roll
Mashups are one task but blending the videos so perfectly in sync is a whole other talent

true!

@I STAN Kim Jong-Un but Can't STAND Trump There's a genre this song fits in...
This is now my favorite version of both songs!
Stumbled on this video. But ya, forreal.
Awesome. My favorite part: "and that ain't right"
Jason Walker I couldn’t leave that out!
It was glorious.

mine too!
You know a mashup is outstanding, if you hear the original version again and you miss the other song mashed in there. Happens to me in both directions now. Thank you Bill.
That's what's happening to me! He's fucking everybody's shit up!!!
...and in the end, there can be only one.
2:29 Gave me goose bumps for real. Love it.
Bill! Bill! Next idea for a mashup! You need to do Danzig's "Can't Speak" and No Doubt's "Don't Speak." Because.... GWEN DANZIG!
Underrated.. comment ohh fux. U got me
Holy shit...
🤣🤣🤣
It only makes sense to do it...
holy shit
Therapist:"Don't panic! There is no Gwen Danzig!"
This post.
Me hyperventilating, taking another therapist that is not a liar.
You've got a gift and a goddamn freaky ear for these things, bud. You take songs that have no business being mashed up, and the end result always sounds like it was always meant to be.
PK Halford thank you. That’s EXACTLY what I hope people will think.
@@BillMcClintockMashups Do you get high before mixing them together?
Drugs are bad mkaaaayyyyy
haha i love the random Dimebag clip at the end
Lol I'ma ask you again.
1:44 "And that ain't right!" 😂😂
Great video
The look on his face says it all - "Lord, I only have to lip synch this one line with the spotlight on me, please help me get it right."
@@unrulysimian3897 The Temps actually sang all on their live performances...
That surprise Dimebag guitar solo near the end was the icing on the cake. Hands down the greatest mash-up video that ever graced TH-cam!
The WHAT that came as a SURPRISE, I was NOT seeing come until NOW? 😂
😂
😂
🧐
Bill really knows what he does, the climate of the song was asking for something like that at the end, and he made it, it shows how he develop a good mashup until the very last second.
The lyrics sound more sinister with this music.
"It was the 3rd of September..."
*pulls up chair and leans in* this story got interesting
Duh..lol
The sum is a greater darkness than the parts.
I think at this point you've DEFINITIVELY proved that the Temptations should've been a metal band
Ok Danzig being a true music lover, he’d enjoy this.
Happy Day someone needs to show him
He has to know the two editions, Donzig and this one
Oh you think so? I think he'd hate it.
i really really REALLY higly doubt he would enjoy this. i like his music but danzig is a petty brat.
He'd have a shitfit. I've looked up to the guy since I was little as a musician, songwriter and independent businessman. But as a human being he just doesn't seem to have a humorous bone in his body! He hates all the Danzig memes. Complains when his movie gets laughed at. You name it.
0:25 " i never got chance to see "
dude this gives me chills everytime
I’ve had this on repeat for like 4 days, this is my favorite song right now, and it’s a mashup. Great work.
Hearing the vocals so clearly separated from the music track is outstanding. It made the vocals even better, if that's possible.
Is this why I love soul music so much??? I grew up on rock and then one day it clicked, HARD.
Someone who listens to ALL good music and hears the same weird synchronicity in pieces. Good job brother!
He probably made a couple of key-and-bpm-lists, too.
Great nonetheless!
"And that ain't right." Melvin Franklin RIP...
RIP Richàrd Street, Damon Harris and Dennis Edwards.
That little bit of Dime at the end sent this from 10 to 11. Love everything about it.
I love Danzig, and I love this Temptations song- and can't figure out how you just see the combinations- it's like seeing the flow of a fistfight and avoiding the punches effortlessly. It flows perfectly- truly, well done!
Mr McClintock, you Sir are a national treasure. Please don't ever die.
I was born and raised in Detroit
Grew up, listening to the Temptations
Love them from the first time I heard them
Then you blend them with Danzig
wow
What a gig
🌟🥁🎸🌟
I heard Mother on the radio the other day and I started singing these words. A perfect mash up.
haha i love the random Dimebag clip at the end
WildwiT FolkRock . Damn it worked tho
I know right, what I heard it I was like isn't that Floods?
The description states its a guest appearance from Pantera, so yes
Good ear
The energy of rock and the smoothness of Soul music is just hypnotizing. You're literally forced to move to this mashup.
I can't believe how perfectly all the vocals fit!!!
Around 2:56 when it kicks in after the breakdown is so smooth how they trade off vocals. Excellent work.
I have to give you Kudos; not only for this one; but for all of them. Not only are the songs in tempo but just the fact that your taste & knowledge is so vast is amazing. You're a musical surgeon, not a mashup artist. You're creating music Worth listening to over and over. Rock n Brotha!!
This may be the greatest mash up I've ever heard!
Well done to the genius behind it!
This is one of the best things I’ve ever heard in my life
"I never got a chance to see him" was timed so masterfully with the guitar that Father Time was embarrassed
I can’t believe how good this is. Almost like it was meant to be. The ”and when he died, all he left”s KILL. This is so well done. Thank you.
2:06 - Little interaction with the crowd. That's some punch he threw there.
These aren't any other mashups.. oh no sir. There all new stories. New meaning to old and forgotten songs some of us have lost touch in. These...are beautiful.
soul train wasnt ready for this..but their kids are gonna love it
MAN>>>YOU ARE UNREAL WITH THESE MASHUPS! Thank god they were promoting you on Rock 100 Atlanta!
You created one of the greatest intros ever.
This mashup is genuinely one of my all time favourite songs ever.
I can’t get over how good the mash up is the ending gets me so hyped
Out of all of Bill's masterfully crafted mashups, the "metal song + R&B./soul vocals" is by far my favorite combination style.
This was my introduction to the "mashup" genre, and even a year later it's still my favorite jam. Great job Bill, thanks for this.
Honestly, this mashup blends the lyrical meanings of the two songs pretty well, in addition to the tried-and-true genre mix of soul and metal:
"Mother" - a passionate critique of counterproductive censorship pushed by organizations like the PMRC, which fail to address underlying issues with how children are raised
"Papa was a Rolling Stone" - An example of the root problem - parental negligence - from the perspective of a now-single mother and her child
Another masterpiece, Bill! Someone commented that you don't make mash-ups, you make music! They are so right! I find myself coming back to listen to your stuff again and again. "Use my mouth for War" by Pantera and Bill Withers is a personal favorite. Keep up the good work!
Much Respect From New Orleans Louisiana..☆ Opal..Stephanie Opal..Ha ve a SweeET day!!!
Been enjoying this mashup for almost a year... just realized its parental duality theme - another level of genius!
Bill. I love this. Love Danzig. Love the temptations. But never would have guessed this to work. Genius. Pure genius.
Mesh t-shirts! Now there's a memory! Still have a pic of me wearing one. Fair winds and following seas to all.
The thing I love about these “mashups” (and these are all so much more than mashups) is that they take genres of music that a lot of us wouldn’t have admitted we both liked equally back then. I was a metal kid growing up. But by God I owned Thriller. I wouldn’t have admitted it back then. If Danzig and the Temptations can have accord like this, why can’t the rest of us?
Dude what rabbit hole did I just go down, this is awesome. I’m a fan and just subscribed keep them coming. Great work

This has no right to go this hard.
Why is this so goddamn great
I doubt I'm the only person that's entertained the notion that to be this good, you might be an Ai that has access to everything at once! Love your work mang! Thank you for being a light in the darkness of our time. Human or otherwise! ;)
Bill you should put these on Spotify or make them available to buy!!!

Can't sell other people's copyrighted work. Unless you've paid royalties or you own the rights.
This is actually a masterpiece. You have an amazing talent for this stuff. I can't say I've ever heard mashups that flow quite as naturally as yours do.
This is actually beautiful. I got goosebumps listening to this. I don't know what it means, but you have perfected some new type of art form.
It's like a song about the child of the danzig song asking about his father, its perfect
This is one of the best things I didn't know I needed.
I really think this is a masterpiece.
that moment when glenn danzig met the temptations on a cold rainy night , the dark forces came together to dance
My dad was a real pos and this song helps with cope a lot. Thank you for your music I will always be grateful for you
Man this absolutely rocks! 🤘🏼
A great hybrid of classics. 🤌🏼
And I will say one more thing, you should try more mashups of this kind of Soul Metal (Like that of RATT and Marvin Gaye). Mixing a hardrock base with those great vocals is producing something really good.
Roberto Rezende de Assis I agree. There aren’t very many of them out there and they mix very well together.
Masterpiece.
0:29 mark hits hard.
Danzig and the temptations were ahead of their time
Impossible to not like this song. That riff 🤌
The Temptations mashups alone made me subscribe to his channel on TH-cam & Patreon!
I grew up in the 60s and 70s on Rock N Roll and Soul Music. These mashups were made for people like me👍🎶🎸
The parallels of the universe. We all begin and end as one.
Erm,.. i've seen a whole bunch of your videos and i know you're doing this for a laugh,...
but you're inadvertently creating legitimate art!!
Great ear!
I don't think he's doing it for a laugh and knows he's taking art and taking it to another level.
I wish there was a live bands out there that would play these mashups … how cool would that be
I just discovered you Bill McClintock on this very night I could not sleep, was doom scrolling away and found a rad video of this amazing hometown nostalgia skating rink video of a dude tearing up a skating rink floor with Eminence of Holy Wars and Creeping Death playing 😂 and here I am my life is forever changed so so so grateful to have found your treasures and excited to listen to all you’ve got!! These are my JAMS listened to all these in my teens cruisin around and now to hear them like this I’m speechless. Thank you so much please don’t stop creating and making new masterpieces with classic goodies ❤️ wow wow wow so good 🙌🏻
Since Danzig is already very soulful, I'm not surprised that this works so awesomely!
Your work is AMAZING McClintock! Keep killing it!!
I literally HATE myself for not thinking of this before the OP.
Soooo perfect.
“As a child I felt myself to be alone, and I am still, because I know things and must hint at things which others apparently know nothing of, and for the most part do not want to know.”
― Carl Gustav Jung
Thanks to Bill we all now realize Motown + metal is the greatest thing ever. God damn!
Brother, you have recreated old favorites and made them into new ones, you have single handedly saved us from all the crap music of today! Thanks so much! 👍
Sam Loomis that’s all I ever wanted to do!
Bill McClintock
And you look going doing it, too.
That’s what’s UP😁👍
Bill, you are a genius! Mashing up two of my favourite songs and coming up with this brilliant blend!
What a way to start a Tuesday. Thanks Bill!
Easily the best Mash Up combo ever. Two greats of two genre's actually making a better record. Genius!
Can you imagine. I'm such a Danzig fan, from his Misfit days, and grew up listening to The Temptations, anything R&B as my mother was a major musical influence on me.
I had my boyfriend send me this video, and I am so happy he did. This was pure genius.
Big fan btw
👏👏👏👏👏 Man. I've always loved both of these songs. Much more so now.
You've got a magic ear, Lieutenant Bill.
Another masterpiece, brother!
Spat out my coffee during the first 10 seconds! WTF!! X) Ya can't go wrong with this combination of two great artists!
DUDE! Out of the 100s of times I've played this, never noticed you threw that Dime floods squeal in there! Always heard the familiarity lol Good form sir
I love when bands come together to sing about parental themes. This was from the Mommy/Daddy Issues tour of 19...something or other. Awesome to watch again. 🤘🏻😉
Thank you for blessing us all with this gift we didn't know we needed.
This is one of the best mashups I ever heard! It's like they were always one song!
WELL DONE! 😀👍
