Yes... and he’s not just messing around (100% of the time that is), he’s hearing parts to the whole and purposely creating an alternative to the Gestalt (parts are greater than the whole) cause he makes them feel as one. PS, this music video hits hard, too.
I've watched this about 50 times now and I've come to a very important conclusion: people attending thrash metal shows need to do more soul-train-type dancing.
I saw something close to this once - at Hellfest in France I went to see Cannibal Corpse, and there were two girls dressed as fairies who knew the words to every song, dancing and body popping on a raised level inside the lighting/effects station in the middle of the arena. They might be the coolest girls I’ve ever seen
Dude this guys voice over the riff literally adds a new level of excitement I haven't had from other metal experiences, Soul Metal is the future of rock
Fuuuuuuuck - this is GOOD! Slayer's my favorite band and this mashup gives me the chills. Edwin Starr's voice works extremely well with Tom Araya's. Actually when it goes into the verse part and the drums really hit with the lyrics I'm getting chills AND tears in my eyes. Nice job!!
It goes from around 115 BPM to around 130 BPM several times. Also it feels like this change is spread out over a few measures, and that makes it harder to combine another song into it.
That was a bit of a pain. The real challenge with this one was to change the rhythms of the vocals in some places to make them fit. At some points, there was too much syncopation and the rhythms were a bit too "loose."
Edwin Starr - what a voice! War has been one of my favourite songs since I was a kid, and even though I am a fan of punk / metal I love the old soul songs, especially those from the "psychedelic soul" period when the songs got longer and the lyrics were about war / drugs / environment etc.

Having been a long time fan of mashups, I felt like I hit the motherlode of mashups tonight when I came across this channel. I didn't know that I missed out so much on Bill McClintock. Bill, I gotta say, you're better than Wax Audio, LobsterDust, Isosine, MadMixMustang, Go Home Production... You are a true mashup artist and please keep up the good work. Thank you!

When a mash-up becomes greater than the sum of its parts!
