- The Kokopelli Trail is usually a 3-day feat from Moab, UT to Loma, CO. Lachlan Morton finished it in one and on his terms: pushing the limits on his bike without geting too wrapped up in setting the fastest time ever. But since he’s Lachlan, he ended up with the new record. Film by Thomas Woodson

Looks like that is about all they got for footage lol Lachlan is too fast and those trails are too remote to really have any chance of capturing meaningful shots during the effort. You'd need to rent a helicopter or something!

Much as I like all kinds of bike racing, this is more relatable to lots of us; makes you want to get out and ride.....and find an adventure.

@Christy Dolan I think the views and comments are proof of how marketable Lachlan is, which in this commercialised world of sport is exactly how he can be of use to the team.
The best thing about it is we can all enjoy it and you can watch videos of things that you enjoy. Rather than trying to fight with people on the internet.

He has to do The Tour Divide. That has Lachlan written all over that. Would love to see a documentary on that race with him.
Hung Tran after what happened last time someone tried to make a documentary while riding divide I’d imagine if he does it will be without a camera crew.

@@MarlowWhere There was a huge deal about Lael Wilcox filming her most recent attempt. Divided the bikepacking and FKT community heavily due to arguments about what is and isn't "emotional support" and doing a record attempt self supported.
Lachlan seems to be the only guy who really likes riding his bike for the fun of it. Another great EF film on him.

Lachlan belongs to a league of its own. Just ride for fun, for pain, for whatever good reason one may have to hit the (unpaved) roads. After 220 Km and 11 1/4 hours, the size of his smile speaks volume. More of this good stuff, please.
This videos are a great reminder for the best parts of cycling...the adventure, the challenge, and most importantly just enjoying the ride!

I got to be honest we all love cycling videos this is just what I need to get it going the blood I love it. I always watch these before I go out and get my body moving. I love when I always watch one of these, and then put up my heavy playlist I love like Delta Parole and then I just go haaaaard!!!! Tactic hasnt let me down yet.

I never really knew of EF in the UCI races, also rans if you wish (not meant to be harsh!) I never really looked out for Lachlan either, but these EF Gone racing and Lachlan adventures are just incredible. Engaging! interesting! eye opening! inspiring!! Filmed openly and honestly. Cool vid as always. I do have a small request because I like knowing more than not, how did you handle fueling? The glimpse of the energy gels shoved in your shorts tells some, but really, how frequently did you fuel, what was your primary fuel, how did you clean the water you were drinking, etc? You're seriously making cycling fun to watch, at least for other cyclists. Watching a bunch of pros race is great too, but seeing a pro, do a weird/one-off event like this, and smile at the end of it, is enlightening.

Said it before, I'll say it again "You can take the boy out of Port Macquarie, but you can't take Port Macquarie out of the boy." The surfie culture feels so ingrained in the guy and it's honestly fantastic! and Angus is about a step further, the two of them critiquing cycling mentality/culture I find myself adoring.
An ability to recognise the bigger picture or not bog down into nth degree details.
Impeccable timing he was/is with guys like Gaimon, Woods, Howes and Phinney who seem to have a similar grasp beyond purely 'results' (maybe that's a JV thing...? and Drapac, there's more to just: cycling)
If this type of filming is an Angus thing, a 'hill to stake' so to speak, more power to him and I hope for more coverage and promotion of it as it's a good thing on the whole.
Society feels bogged down on specificity, especially the medias, for Right/Wrong. There is a lo of ground in between. This feels again like another flick that states: Go out, enjoy, whatever happens you learn things if you're prepared to pay attention to everything (as much as possible).

Great effort and filming! Would have loved to see some of the final single track sections up close (in addition to drone) as they're some of the most technical and fun miles of the entire route.
