2024, nearly 32 years old and this song still hits home and hurts like it did at 8 years old.
As a kid that saw his parents go trhough divorse, then at 27 losing my mom from cancer, this is one of the most important songs of my entire life, it always gets me so emotional and sad at the same time it's impossible to describe. Placebo will always have a huge place in my heart.

I still remember the first time I listened to this song. I was on the back seat of the car, behind the driver seat with my parents and brothers, it was night time and winter. I just purchased the CD. I was listening to it on a CD player, I was 12. It is one of my favorite Placebo song.

I was skipping class with my friend in high school. I had been recently diagnosed wort bipolar disorder 2. I think she was also type 2. This whole album made so much sense! I was 15, and the youngest of my friends, so most of them drove. I was in the back seat, memorized by this song. This was still new.

I have cyclothemia. Sometimes when I'm on a downward journey placebo helps me to bottom out. Also being a, product of a broken home and a sex addict I find this song to be cathartic. Just thought I'd put that out there. Ya never know it might help someone with similar issues

I believe it was this album that paved the way for Placebo to start experimenting heavily with their sound and thus create songs with weird mixes.
This song reminds me so much about my ex, they really nailed it because this song is exactly how he treated me and everyone else he encountered. So much so that he has no one. His past left him completely fucked up and unable to love

Yeah, great song off of a great album. Placebo's first 5 albums are good all the way through (this is their 3rd), and all the tracks are great on it, even the hidden track at the end of the cd, "Black Market Blood". After Meds, (album number 5) they started to go downhill IMO and release albums with 2-4 great songs and a bunch of filler and/or too experimental stuff. I like "Ashtray Heart", off of "Battle For The Sun", but the rest of the album is just kindof blah...

Being 17 when this came out. Loved it so much. Being so naive and not realizing the lyrics , listen now I do and it's sad for me. Sad that the lyrics are somber but how alone I was then. It feels unsettling to me now but still miss those days and this group.

I know he’s diagnosed as bipolar, and this fits well for it, so he might be also diagnosed with BPD since he mentions it, along with his other diagnosis.

Music is multi-lingual. Whichever language you speak, music speaks in the same language. Lyrics are different, they require the listener to have an understanding of the words or language used. Placebo appeals to everyone because its about the music, not the message or story the vocalist is trying to portray, necessarily.
Point being, im drunk, Placebo write good music thats all you need to know... Rock on 🤘
