Placebo performing Begin The End Live - 18 September 2013 - Album de la Semaine, Canal+ (Paris, France) www.canalplus.fr/ - NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENTED
It's really cool to see Brian engage the audience with his eyes; The way he looks over everyone there. Many musicians don't do that. It's a pretty admirable quality to have. People want to see you enjoy yourself as much as they do. Though this audience does look a bit dead. Wave your hands in the air or something.
This song marked the autumn period of 2013 for me.Walking home from the university, with the leaves falling off, inhaling chilly air, with the sun penetrating low, dense clouds and just listening to this masterpiece. To me this is one of Those songs. One of those songs that mark a period of time in your life, regardless of the actual importance of that time and making you remember that time with a foolish grin on your face
Fan since the crazy 1990s. I think it doesn't matter. I'm glad you all discovered great music and voice to enjoy listening to, and a great talented artist to behold!
45 and been there since Nancy Boy on Jools Holland. Age shouldn't matter. I love all their stuff. Currently got a 23-year-old Placebo mix tape on loop in my (also 90's!) car. It makes me feel 20 again!
OMG. I love Placebo. His voice!!! melting like butta!!! I have to say this is the first time I've seen videos, I...am...obsessed. Is anyone else mesmerized by the tall drink of water of a guitar player stage left???? I'm a 63 years old mom and my teenage children (now in their 30s) turned me on to this glorious group. All you who have had the pleasure of witnessing a concert, you are the lucky ones!!!
Funny I come across your comment. You're about the same age as my mom and she also discovered Placebo through me during my teenage years. :) I can only highly recommend catching a show of theirs whenever they end up touring again, it's an experience unlike any other!
@@XNancyxBoyX You are so sweet to reply. I say your mom is lucky to have you and I bet growing up was a lot of fun, filled with great music. I hope she has been able to see Placebo live. If so, I live vicariously through her. 😊
Brian is always a kind of amazing... I have no words for it. He is fucking gorgeous and soothing... He makes me happy and sad in the same time... Because of the music and his appearence... it's amazing
And he makes me thoughtful about a lots of things. I am generally very thoughtful, but he makes me even more thoughtful. Thank you from Leipzig, Germany!
yeah - there's something about pain in songwriting that really appeals to me (and a huge number of others!). Brian captures some raw moments AMAZINGLY well.
Wow! What a performance!... never heard Steve Forrest's drumming as good as on this track....and truly Brian Molko has proved himself a lyrical genius over all these years. How on earth does he dream up original words like these?
Idk what I was doing as a middle schooler listening to placebo more than 14yrs ago I'm 28 now and their songs bring me so much nostalgia. My fav part of the song is "look me in the eyes say that again" such strength and hurt at the same time love the way he says it & also "you and I kept looking to transcend" such a poetic statement. This whole song is a gem.
Why he makes me cry? Why he became a soulmate fo me... and for many people? May be because he writes songs from heart and they are so private... l love his voice
Congratulations Placebo on your blissful uniqueness. You are out on your own creating a sound that didnt previously exist. The sound is beautiful, it resounds with what it is to be human. I dont know how you do it but Im very happy that youve done it.
This man is a gift from the gods
Yes! He really is a gift from heaven to us!
YES! You said absolute the right words:)))
He's a god
Agree
Brian is exceptional over the top

Hi Vee
One of the most articulate & poignant breakup songs I’ve ever heard.
yeah - there's something about pain in songwriting that really appeals to me (and a huge number of others!). Brian captures some raw moments AMAZINGLY well.
I can't get over him. I just can't.
Look deep enough into Brian's eyes at the end of the song..how can anyone make a mistake? Pain is a given, suffering is optional.
