The Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve credit cards now both have limited time increased offers! In this video I talk about how to get this limited time Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve bonus because there’s a few ways. I also answered some common questions that people have that address if you’re eligible, whether Chase will match lower offers, and what these Chase points are really worth. At a minimum, this new Chase Sapphire Preferred bonus is worth potentially $937 through Chase Travel, and the Chase Sapphire Reserve bonus is worth potentially $1,125 through Chase Travel. However, because both of these travel credit cards give you access to airline and hotel transfer partners, you could potentially find ways to make this limited time offer worth between $1,500 to $2,250 instead!
No matter what your situation is, I think the Sapphire Preferred or the Sapphire Reserve are both must have credit cards in your setup, so elevated welcome bonuses like this are the perfect opportunity to earn great value!

***UPDATE 1: I just sent a secured message to Chase within my account to see if they will match the 75,000 Point offer on my new Sapphire Reserve that I got on April 16.
***UPDATE 2: The secured message answer seemed to say that I was not eligible for the match because there was no higher online offer than 60,000 points. I think that was more of a lack of knowledge from the customer service rep though. So I called the number on the back of my card and 5 minutes later they easily matched my offer to the 75,000 point offer. There seems to be roughly 30 day window from when these offers went live to receive a match, based on data points from viewers in the comment section below. So if you got approved for either one of these Sapphire cards around late March or early April, then I would call an ask for a match. Best of luck!
Worked for me! I got my sapphire reserve on April 7 and they matched it
Worked for me! Got my sapphire reserve on April 7 and they matched it
@@winksice Great to hear! Thanks for the data point 👍
How will you notify us that the deal is ending? Will you just post a comment underneath this video? Thanks for all your help.
I just opened my Sappire Preferred last week for the 60K points, and boy, am I so glad I ran into this video. I just called Chase, and they match the officer since I opened the account less than 30 days ago. Thank you so much, Daniel. There was not way I would've known to call Chase if it wasn't for you.
Love to hear that! Yeah I knew that I had to at least mention that this ability to call to match the offer is an option. So glad that Chase seems to be really good with matching right now based on all of the comments that I'm seeing from others as well.
Thanks for sharing your data point here, Hector! 👍
I was looking into getting the card until I saw there was a $5 or 5% transaction fee. I was disappointed especially since I've done so much research on this card and no one has mentioned that part. For you, do you find this worth it?
Did the new sign up bonus updated on the chase app or did it still show 60k? I called a week ago and they matched the offer but I didn't get any kind of confirmation, app still shows 60k not 75k
I called Chase and since I applied for the CSP on 4/22 (within the 30 day limit) they approved me for the extra 15k points! Thanks, Daniel!
Awesome, great to hear that! Thanks for sharing your data point on this
Perfect timing. I go under 5/24 for the first time in a decade literally tomorrow.
Oh wow that really is perfect timing haha. Love to hear that! Are you going for the CSP or CSR?
@@Daniel_Braun CSP. Venture X is my primary card so I don't really need the added perks of the CSR.
How many cards do they offer jeez. Are you just like downgrading cards and applying for new ones or what?
@@11yoyomama 5/24 isn't only counting Chase cards. Chase will deny you if you have 5 open in 2 years from ANY issuer. It's honestly pretty easy to go over 5/24 when you're playing the credit card miles and rewards game.
I want to ask how you define 5/24? Do you go by month or the exact day? My fifth last card was opened on June 1st 2022, so I wonder if June 2nd or July 1st will be the day I go under 5/24. I also want to get this bonus offer as well
I opened my Sapphire Preferred account on 04/07 and called today 05/08 to ask about matching the new offer. After a 3 min phone conversation, I was delighted to hear that I was eligible and they submitted the request to the marketing team to update the offer. Not sure if it helped but I already hit the min spend requirement within the first month. Thanks for the tip!
To echo others’ comments, I just called the Sapphire number on the back of the card. I just opened my CSP on 4/21. They updated my account to the 75k bonus with no hassle. Thanks for the info, as always, Daniel!
Perfect, so great to hear that Chase is being very generous with matching on this offer! Thanks for the data point to help others 👍
Was at the branch 2 days ago, they offering 85,000 points. It's better to do it in the branch, if you have one nearby
Dude. your recent videos are FANTASTIC! They have always been good... this is just magical! Love to see it man!
Just went in branch today and applied to the Preferred. Got accepted!
I was approved for the CSR on March 11 and after speaking with one of the representatives today and they said if the account was opened on March 29 or after you are able to get an offer match. So no go for me but good luck to everyone.
Very good insight here, so thanks for sharing the data point. Sorry to hear that they're not able to match the offer that far back. Seems like there is a roughly 30 day window or slightly longer. Curious to see if that is a rolling window as the days go on
I just got my CSR card April 22 and I just called for the elevated offer and got approved because I was within the 30 days of getting the card
I was approved on Monday for a CSR and was told I could only get the offer that was available when I applied
At least Chase matches. US bank told me to kick rocks. Even tho card was opened 2 weeks b4 new the elevated SUB 😤
I opened mine march 28th!! Crap
Went in branch and got an offer of 75k points for $4k spend in 3 months and an extra 10,000 points for $6k in 6 months. Definitely worth it to apply in branch super fast and easy !
Love to hear that! Also good to hear that the process was quick, so definitely a good option if there's a Chase branch nearby for anyone
Did they waive 1st yr annual fee?
@@Connor-bi1ohI got the same offer as the original comment and I was charged the 1st year annual fee, doesn’t count towards your 4k spending in 3 ‘onths
just got my CSP on Monday! Got my Trifecta at 20 years old, thanks to you Daniel! Been watching since 18.
love your charisma! very engaging to listen to and also hella informative 🙏🏾♥
Thank you so much Oti, much appreciated and great to hear that!
I got the match offer too! Woohoo! Just opened the account a week ago. Thank you!
Thank you Daniel! Just signed up for CSP on 4/11 and then saw this video on Monday. Was able to go to branch next day and they matched to 75K plus 10K bonus!!!
Thanks, Daniel. As always, your video was crystal clear. Hope things are going well for you these days.
Thanks so much Anthony! Things have been great lately and hope you've been well too!
Thank you for sharing Daniel! I got my Chase Sapphire Preferred back in 2019 and now it’s due for a product change to a Freedom card for another Chase Sapphire Signup bonus.
After watching your video, I called Chase Customer service. They mentioned I need to wait two statement cycles after the product change to be eligible for CSP or CSR sign up bonus
Daniel Braun is the truth! Thanks to him I have flown first class 3 times this year 😊 maximizing SUB and Spend adds up!
Thanks Daniel!
That is so cool to hear you say that, Sam! Congrats on being able to use your points for flights like that - happy that I was able to help in any way with that!
Thank god I saw this video this morning. I called customer service and they told me I just made it for my extra 15k bonus since i signed up on Mar 29th.
Perfect timing! Just got mine approved today! 🎉
Nice, congrats on the approval!
I just got my Sapphire Perferred in the mail today but I got 80,000 after $4,000 spent, and I got the pre approval offer in the mail and immediately jumped on it
Great off to take advantage of as well with those targeted mail offers! You beat the online offer so that's a deal in my eyes 👍
Same! Just a few days ago applied for a US bank altitude and got denied. The 80k CSP offer came in clutch via mail a day later. Never applied got a credit card so fast.
I got the CSP on April 12th in branch and called and asked to match today and they did no problem
Awesome! Great to hear reports like these that Chase has been good with matching
Great work man keep it up your videos are always amazing help thank you for your service
Thank you so much Dylan, much appreciated! Glad that you're enjoying the videos!
Better to do CSP before CSR to get higher bonus. I believe you can’t get additional sign up bonus later on and there’s a year wait before you are eligible to apply for CSR from CSP as well correct?
I just got approved for the Sapphire Preferred and I’m so excited!!
I got my sapphire card before the offer. I called yesterday and they were able to match my offer. They said I was eligible for the match because I got my sapphire card within 30 days of the new offer going live. If you’re over 30 days, not sure they would honor it. However, I do think it’s worth calling & trying!!
Question, I had the Sapphire Preferred about a year ago, which I downgraded to the normal Sapphire card (no annual fee). In three to four years, if I decide to apply for another Sapphire Preferred or Reserve bonus, will I need to change my Sapphire no annual fee card to a different card?
I’m glad I came across this video. I’ve been pondering applying for the Preferred but was holding out for some expected upcoming spending, honestly and a better offer. Now might be the time 🤔
I am above the 5/24 rule and still got approved for the 75k bonus CSP. I had 6 credit checks last November when Chase announced the extra bonus for CFU and I got approved for that as well.
Interested to hear your thoughts on the robinhood gold card (3% back all purchases) coming out
thanks for the update!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 👍
OMG LETS GO!! I've been waiting for this!!! I went into Chase 2 weeks ago to apply for the preferred and got offered the extra 10k in branch! I passed because i wanted a bigger public welcome bonus on top of the in branch and I'm so glad I held out 😂😂
Wow great timing with that! Good thing you listened to your gut feeling to hold out for something better haha. Glad to hear that!
Having the Amex gold didn’t really make sense of getting CSP but with the 75k points kinda sounds tempting since I already have the CFFlex combining points. Thank you for the heads up!
I have the Preferred, but want to switch to the Reserve like you suggest. Do I have to cancel my preferred before I can apply? Thanks, in advance. Love your topics and advice.
Hi Daniel, do you think there will be a larger signup bonus later this year or does Chase only do this annually?
How does the rule work If you are a spouse of a reserved card holder. And I’m just a user not a cosigner can I get my own and get the points or will they deny me?
I am trying to refer friends and family, but the referral link is only the 60k bonus. Should this be the case? Any suggestions on how they can get the 75k and I get my referral bonus?
Danny - I still feel very fortunate that I got the best deal to date on the Preferred, which was 100K points, plus first year fee waived by applying in branch. That's something that many don't know. If apply for one of their Sapphire cards in branch, they often wave the fee. I'm not sure if they're still doing it though (fee waiving).
Thanks as usual and hope you're having a good spring thus far.
That's still such an amazing deal that I can't believe it was a real offer a few years ago haha. Would love to see Chase bring that back eventually!
Unfortunately they're not waiving annual fees at the moment for this offer on either online or in-branch.
Thanks so much and hope you're having a great spring as well!
I got the offer 100K and fee waved for me and my husband a few years ago. We went to Cancun and took our 2 kids. 200k points paid for all incluse hotel and part of plane tickets🙂
Got CSP on 4/1. Saw this video and called to number at the back of the card and got extra additional bonus to make it 75k point + 10k point since I opened at the branch.
Nice, that's awesome to hear! Thanks for sharing your data point with this 👍
Hey, do you know if these cards have a 0% intro APR
If it says your already approved for a credit card on the chase app but its not much.. is it a way to not take that approval and can try a different application to try to get more?
Thank you. I’ve been waiting for this offer. I’m going on a trip and this will help me get the signup bonus right away.
No problem, happy to help! Great to hear that, this is an awesome no-brainer sign up bonus to take advantage of for that 👍
How long does this offer last? Cause I just opened a new credit card and don’t wanna open another one for 1-2 months
My brother just got a CSP so I had him call for the match. The rep he talked to told him that they would automatically apply the match to anyone who applied to the card after 3/29. That being said, I would still probably call just to make sure.
I called the number on the back of my Chase Reserve card that I opened on 4/7 and I was approved for the new 75k offer with no problems. Took less than 5 mins.
Perfect, great to hear that and glad that Chase was able to do this fast!
For anyone that has had the CSP for a while now, can you accumulate the yearly $50 travel credit or do you have to use it every year to get full value from this credit?
What if you used a friend referral?
Hey Daniel, thanks a lot for such nice and informative videos. Been following all of them and its really helped me plan out my future credit card journey. After getting the knowledge from your and some other TH-camrs and online resources, I'm now the go to person for tips and guidance among my friends and also a Resources mentor for the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate Studies team.
I was waiting for the Chase Sapphire Preferred bonus offer to go up like last year but nothing happened in April so just got my American Express Gold card last month with the 90K + 20% back offer and now since the offer is live, planning to get the Chase Sapphire Preferred sometime later this month with the in-branch offer as the card is already pre-approved for me and I had a meeting scheduled with the Branch Manager later this month about this card. Hopefully, everything works out well.
Keep up the good work Daniel. Kudos brother.
Hey Raj, thank you so much for that! Very cool to read all of this and hear about how my videos may have been helpful in any way. And even better to see you passing along that knowledge to others!
Sounds like you're in a great position to grab that in-branch offer and I think that's very smart being patient and waiting for something like this to pop up. Much appreciated man! Thanks for the support
Does anyone know until when the offers are valid for?
I want the CSR card, but given that the CSP has a higher bonus in branch is there any pros or cons to doing CSP in branch offer and once I get the offer bonus upgrade to CSR card?
You'd have to wait 1 year before being able to upgrade to the CSR. So if you need the CSR within the next year for any reason then I would go with that offer right now. But if you'd be ok having the CSP for 1 year and then trying to upgrade, then I think that is a great option as well
Thank you for the info, following you for a while, really appreciate it❤️❤️ i already have Chase reserve , can my husband apply for Chase Prefer to take advantage SUB and later transfer the SUB to my Chase Reserve and down grade to Chase Unlimited? Thank you
I also just recently got my CSR in April and they told me that they would upgrade me since it was “within 30 days”. Sounds like they’re doing a deadline for March 29th- April 1st deadline or something. They also did mention that I had been approved but the change won’t show on my account for up to 8 weeks for some official approval on Chases end but that I am all good. Thanks for the heads up I’ll give credit to my future upgraded vacation to you 😂
Thank so much for the data point here on this, Nate! Very useful info for everyone else to see. Enjoy that upgraded offer and upgraded vacation 🔥
Hi Nate I also called Chase and the response I got is that they're going to put a note on my account that I'm asking for a match and if I meet the criteria that I totally meet because I just applied April 14 the marketing team will change my sign up bonus after 2 cycles. They didn't give me a definite answer that they are going to match im just wondering if it's the same case with you
I am looking at getting another credit card. I have great credit and looking to get a card you help me may for some light travel. I don’t really travel much but I need to buy some plane tickets this fall. Do you have a suggestions?
I super love the information you share, thank you. I’ve been waiting for my credit score to get above 740 for the Venture X card, does this new chase sapphire reserve beat that?
Thank you so much! I'd say anything above 700 with good credit history of at least a few years puts you in a good spot for at least the Sapphire Preferred. All depends on your overall profile, but the CSP is easier to get compared to Venture X I would say
Which is the best for value? I’m wanting to travel more is why I’m building up to get the Venture x from your past review of its value.
I have balances with capital one ,less then 3k. I wouldnt qualify?
i got 90k offer for the CSP last spring
Does a reference bonus count as a bonus?
Reserve loses Lounge Access right? Love to hear if they will increase value
Thanks Bro, I appreciate it! I have a quick question: Can I refer my wife, and also have her apply in-branch for the extra 10k points?
So I believe that you can only do one - either refer or apply in branch. Right now it looks like referrals are only 60K and then you'd get 10K for referring. But if you message Chase then I believe they should be able to match the 60K offer to 75K - so in total you'd still end up with 85K which is the same as in-branch
just started my journey got approved 🙏🏼🙏🏼 free tavel in the future
This really makes me want to get the reserve. I have been on edge with either the reserve and the venture x. Or I could get the preferred. Thoughts?
Totally up to you with the extra benefits offered by the Reserve! I'd say that if you value lounge access then I would go with either CSR or Venture X if either card gives you a lounge at airports you got to a lot
Another option to to test out the CSP right now - and then after a year you could always look to upgrade it to the CSR if you decide that you really want that card. That's a popular option for people as well
Hey!! I have had a chase sapphire reserve card for over 8 years. Can I simply downgrade and keep my points or do I have to transfer them to another card like the freedom flex to keep the points.
Thanks in advance
I would transfer the points over to another card first - but it shouldnt matter if you're still downgrading to a card that uses UR points anyway. The points should stay with your account, but won'y be able to be redeemed for more value until you get a new Sapphire card
@@Daniel_Braun thank you!
Hi Daniel! I could use your input for the following. Maybe an idea for a video? my significant other and I want to start taking advantage of points and traveling. We do not share our finances. When we travel we usually each pay for our half. For example if I pay $2000 for our plane tickets. He will pay me $1000 back. This is going to be tricky when we start using points since it will not be a simple dollar amount anymore and we can not really “pay” each other with points. Any suggestions on how to take advantage of points in this situation?
Hey Daniel I just approved to Chase Unlimited. And I received a pre selected offer to Chase preferred with 90,000 sign up bonus. Do you think should i apply for the Chase preferred even tho i just approved to Chase unlimited?
Excited!!! 🎉
Me too! I just messaged Chase, so I'm hoping that they will match the 75K Sapphire Reserve offer because I just got the standard 60K offer 2 weeks ago
Hey Daniel, thank you for another great video! I moved 10 months ago from Spain to the US and since then I’ve been trying to get the Chase Reserve or Capital One Venture X (mainly for the airport lounge access as I travel quite a lot). However, it is being impossible because of my credit history length. I have a amex gold card right now and a good salary and all that, but I was rejected for both. Any advice on how can I get one of these without having to wait for like 2 years? :) thank you!!
Hey Carlos! So it can be tough without the length of credit history sometimes - but I'd suggest starting with a no annual fee Chase Freedom card like the Freedom Flex or Freedom Unlimited
The Freedom Flex actually has an amazing 10% back on groceries offer for your first year going on right now on Chase's website that's worth checking out. Then you could grab a Sapphire card later this year or next year most likely
Haha just saw this video and my chase sapphire preferred just got in a week ago. Missed that in branch offer but hey what can I do now.
Awesome video ❤
Thank you, much appreciated!
@@Daniel_Braun of course 😀
Thank you, question - is it 48 months from your statement date you received the SUB? The SUB was reflected as earned on my July 25 2020 statement, assuming I have to wait until anytime after July 25th?
Yes
i've had the freedom flex for a year now and was gonna apply for the freedom unlimited next, should I try and jump a step and apply for one of these? two year credit history 750 40k annual earnings
I think it's definitely something that you can consider! I got the Freedom card first (basically the same thing as Freedom Flex) and had that for about a year before getting the Sapphire Preferred as my second Chase card - so it's definitely possible
I have the reserve and the freedom unlimited and I was wondering if opening a preferred to get this welcome offer would be a good idea? Or would it not be useful if you already have those two cards?
So like I said towards the end of the video, you can only have 1 Sapphire card at a time. So you won't be able to get the Reserve if you already have the Preferred. And you must be outside of the 48 month window to receive a Sapphire card bonus as well like I mentioned
How long did you wait after you downgraded your chase sapphire preferred to apply for the chase sapphire reserve?
I personally waited 30 days between downgrading and getting a new Sapphire card. I'm not sure exactly if there's a time frame that's needed, but I would leave a week or two in between if possible.
I opened my Reserve in Feb 24 and I was declined the additional 15k points. Starting to build out my lineup, and I keep looking at the AMEX platinum, but I can't sell it to myself that the benefits outweigh the costs.
Does being an AU on my wife’s sapphire preferred count against me for the current sapphire cardholder rule?
No you should be fine because it's a separate account that you would be opening. The 48 month rule should only apply if you're the primary cardholder
How long do these offers last? One of my credit cards has a high balance right now (still at 0% APR, have had it for a few weeks) but doesn't look great for my utilization so I was going to pay off the card in full before my first statement date in a few weeks anyways. However, I won't have the money to do that until my next check hits in a week or two, but don't want to miss this offer.
Not sure how long this one will last because there's no info about it. In the past it has lasted for a few weeks - but I'd just be careful with those 0% APR offers regardless 👍
I'll keep the channel updated with community posts if I hear any more info about when this might be ended if you're still interested over the next few weeks!
@@Daniel_Braun thank you!
You actually can have multiple Chase Sapphire tier cards (I have 2 right now). You can’t open a new one if you already have one, but you can upgrade a lower tier card (like a Chase Freedom) to the Sapphire tier.
Obviously it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for most people to want more than one. But since Chase waves annual fees for military members, it’s nice to get multiple CSRs for the annual travel credit!
A very interesting point use case that I would think only makes sense for active duty military - but very smart to take advantage of with that $300 travel credit on multiple CSRs!
Hey Daniel glad to see your channel truly blowing up. Quick question. I got my first credit card CFU in 2022. Was jobless and stuck at $700 credit limit.
Recently got my first adult job making like 50-60k. Only got one pay check so far and I have no updated my income for Chase. 790 credit score + authorized user for some moms credit cards, under 5/24 rule. My question is can I still apply for chase sapphire reserved? Or do I need to wait like 2 more paychecks then update my income?
Thanks so much and to anyone who answers I really want these bonus offers!!!
Thank you so much for that! So they don't actually verify income when you report it on your application for a new Chase card - you just self report what you reasonably expect to make this year on a gross basis (so just report your salary). Hope that helps!
Could you do a video on what credit card you would recommend for people living in Europe? I feel like there a not a lot of good options especially because the Amex benefits and offers in the EU are way less attractive than in the US. Thanks
Definitely would recommend a Visa with no foreign transaction fees. Either one of these Sapphire cards are great for that. Venture X is also great for that
Mastercards work good overseas as well - Venture card for $95 is another good option, or even SavorOne for no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees.
Hopefully that helps a little bit!
Got Preferred with 85k points because I applied directly at branch.
If I go in person should I just directly ask for the 75k + 10k points sign up offer? How would you go about it?
Yeah I would just say that you read online that there were some limited time offers available in branch on the Sapphire Preferred. They should be able to help you from there 👍
Hey Daniel, how long did you have the Freedom Flex before you upgraded to the CSR? And how long do you recommend for ppl to hold to the CFF if they had the CSP and want to take advantage of a new SUB and are clear of the 48month jail?
So my entire order and dates of when I got all of my credit cards is actually in this video here that I just uploaded the other day which explains better: The 20 Credit Cards I Have at Age 28
th-cam.com/video/3lnHw-5b9i0/w-d-xo.html
I recommend always holding on to the CFF because it has no annual fee and is a great card to have 👍
I waited two weeks in between applying for the CFF and the CSR
Can you still downgrade the CSP to CFF if I already have a CFF? Also what happens to the CSP points when you downgrade? Do you need to transfer or anything?
Just called a Chase matched the new offer!
Got the CSR April 11th and chase said they would match my sign up bonus as well. Does anyone know how long it could take to reflect on my app ?
Great to hear that! It sounds like some other people have said that Chase will document this on their end if you got this confirmed with them over the phone or through secured messages - but it might take time for it to reflect in your account
I'm not seeing the additional 10k for $6k 6 months, though.
1. Am I missing the better offer, or is it just not online (just in branch)?
2. Is there a way to make this work with a referral (e.g., me refer a friend who then gets the 75k while I get the referral)? If I test my referral link, it goes to a 60k offer.
Thanks!
Hey just to clarify on the extra 10K points, that’s a branch only offer so you would have to go in-person to a Chase branch location.
As for the refer a friend links, it appears that Chase has not updated these yet. I’m hoping they do in the coming days, so if that’s what you’re looking to do then I would hold off and see if they update those. Would be a very good option in a 2 player strategy 👍
it says i’m pre approved on my chase app but it still only shows the offer for 60k, should i just go in person for that 85k? btw im so glad i waited bc i wanted the csp but was waiting for an offer increase to make it worth it
I'd assume that if it says preapproved with a 60K offer then it's only good for 60K and you'd be better off doing the 75K online offer or 85K branch offer if you're able to. Glad to hear that you were able to wait to take advantage of this!
Anyone keeping their CSR still even with the PP downgrade? If so curious the reasons why. Contemplating on downgrading to the CSP
I opened a Bilt Mastercard on April 7 and Chase Freedom Unlimited on April 11. Am I shit out of luck on this promo because of the 2/30 rule? Or should I talk to a Chase agent after May 7 or May 11?
I'd say to maybe give it some time before applying for another card so quickly. I don't know how long this offer will last, but I think you should be ok if you wait just a bit. I'll keep the channel updated if I find out that the offer is coming to an end
After downgrading my CSP, do I have to wait before applying for the new offer or can I apply right away?
I personally waited 30 days between downgrading and getting a new Sapphire card. I'm not sure exactly if there's a time frame that's needed, but I would leave a week or two in between if possible.
Is it an issue to downgrade and reapply for the same card? Is it an issue telling Chase you want to downgrade and reapply?
Just wanted to update, I just spoke to the representative, who I told exactly what I would be doing, downgrading and then reapplying for the CSP. She was happy to help me out with the process without a issue, and told me to wait just 3 days before reapplying. Hope that helps anyone else applying!
@@theadventurepapi4328 When you downgrade does anything happen to your CSP points or do they just transfer automatically to the CFF?
What if we already have the CSP but want to redip and and try to get the bonus again? Is that easy to do? Note: my last bonus for CSP was about 10 years ago
I would follow what I talked about in the first question that I answered in the video then! You're outside of the 48 month rule for the bonus but will need to downgrade away from a Sapphire card first if you still have one
There's a perk that you forgot to mention. Reserve comes with $20 travel insurance. That's huge. That would cost $1000 on the open market.
Thanks! I was just hoping to get this card! I just got the freedom unlimited, so hopefully it sticks around long enough to let me get accepted for the preferred. If not, I’ll wait for the next limited time offer.
Nice! Yeah I'd wait just a bit to see if you can get this offer and you might still be able to - not sure how long it will last though. But yeah you could always get the next limited time offer as well 👍
@@Daniel_Braun Do they automatically deny if under 90 days? I just got freedom flex in march but don't want to miss this offer. How long do the limited time offers stick around?
When do you think they will update the refer a friend bonus to match this current offer?
Hopefully sometime soon because the would also be a great option, especially for anyone in a 2 player setup like I've talked about before!
I feel like sometimes they are slightly slower to update these refer a friend offers, but I'm hoping that they will change the offer very soon on those links
@@Daniel_Braun I hope so too! :-)
Luckily got my sapphire preferred last year at a chase bank. Had no idea about the promotion and got 80,000 points plus an additional 10,000 for going to the branch for a total of 90,000 points
They have you a new offer and you opened your card last year? It’s been 5 months no wayyyy
@@Aguynearu not a new offer. It was for when I opened my card last year. But that would be nice if they had gave out offers to existing card members
I'm wondering how long these sorts of offers are available for the csp card
Usually a few weeks when they've run these offers in the past. But I have not heard of any timeline for these offers. I'll keep the channel updated here as I hear more
I’m holding off on it going Amazon prime card than sapphire prefered
Question. Can I downgrade my sapphire preferred to a freedom card. Then apply for the preferred again? I’m not sure if I’d want to upgrade to the reserve yet. But it’s been 50 months since I got the preferred card that’s why. Hope to hear back from you. Thanks.
Yes you would be able to do that, similar to how I described what I did earlier in the video. Would probably need some time like a few weeks in between downgrading CSP and then getting a new one
Does the 5/24 go by month or down to the day? I’m at 5/24 until the 20th this month.
Typically you have to wait until the month is over - so month by month. You should be under 5/24 by the end of the month then. But if this offer ends up going away before then (I don't know when it ends) then it might be worth trying to see if you can get approved despite 5/24 status. That has at times worked for some people, but your mileage may vary
I went into branch and applied for the CSP at 5/24 and was approved right away! Whenever I mentioned the 5/24 rule to anyone in the branch or people I got on the phone they either had no idea what it was or weren’t supposed to acknowledge it if they did. (One of my 5/24 was being added as an authorized user to my wife’s card so maybe they didnt count that one.)
I got a mail offer for 80,000 points for $4k spent in 3 months for the CSP
Another great offer! Definitely a targeted thing, but that's still an offer that might be worth taking
Go in branch and see if they grant you 90k! I wish I would have done this before I got my CSP in Jan.
did you use it yet? if not send it my way i got denied for the 85k :(
Thoughts on getting the reserve for one year and then downgrading to the preferred?
Definitely a great option to do that! A lot of people do that or the opposite where they upgrade the preferred to the reserve after 1 year. Really just depends on what you decide fits better in your wallet with the benefits vs annual fee. The bonuses are good on both cards, so the cheaper preferred might be a good place to start as well
I just downgraded my old Sapphire Preferred to a Freedom card, how long do I have to wait before applying for one of these Sapphire cards?
In branch 1 month
