    My favorite travel credit cards: go.milevalue.com/travel-rewards-credit-cards-suw?aff=suw
    Travel credit cards have high sign on bonuses (for fast points accumulation) as well as higher % rewards for travel based spending. They also have tons of travel perks like free global entry + TSA precheck, airport lounge access, travel credits, free upgrades, & more. Something I think the world needs more of is MORE TRAVEL - building experiences is so important. For me, having travel credit cards and building up credit card points encourages me to spend on travel, since this is the best redemption to maximize points value. I don't accumulate points to get cash back- I get them to push me to travel more. Hope this video helps you out!

    My only problem with Chase travel is that they do not price match. I looked the other day for a hotel room at the Linq in Vegas and it was $200 more than Expedia for the same days. However, Capital one travel does price!

    for the venture x, you cant compare it to the preferred and American gold. the equivalent is to the reserve and platinum making the venture x the cheapest option. the american gold increase the fee to $325 not instead of 250. between the venture and venture x it is best to get the venture x. the venture card regular one is the equivalent to the chase preferred. venture x is harder to get approved for also so best to go to the venture x. i have 20+ credit cards. as for the reserved, it is best to get the preferred because both cards has too many overlapping categories so its hard to justify the 550. only get the reserve if you travel extensively like 5-10 times per year.

    So I get a sign up bonus if I spend XX Thousands of dollars within 4-6 months for a 700 credit? All these point systems seem scammy since you initially have to spend more than what you'd usually spend if it were just cash.

    • @definitionxmk
      @definitionxmk 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      If you are about to spend that much money anyway, then it's a no brainer. For example, I bought a camera that was worth $6k, by getting the 70,000 points (Venture X initially offered 150k points!), you essentially get $700 off. Better than spending cash and get nothing. It depends how you play the system. You then take advantage of everything else (Global entry, $300 flight credit, etc.) and decide to renew or not. Pretty simple actually. They get people who can't control buying and not being able to pay it off. Depending on the agent, they will sometimes waive the fee and give you $500 credit just to keep being a member. I recently got back from a trip which was entirely funded by points with my wife...

      HACK! If you have friends or family that are willing to put their purchase that they would already be making on your card and sending you the money directly can help you if the purchase requirement isn’t in your budget! Obviously make sure you are doing this with people you trust ,it doesn’t hurt to be the one who pays for your Friends/family dinner and they send it to you or swipe your card at checkout when grocery shopping etc. if it’s being paid on a debit card you might as well benefit from it in your credit.

      No, it depends on your lifestyle. If you absolutely will not spend it, then no. But for example, my husband amd I had a 30k wedding. We had it cash. But I got a chase sapphire card and it's going to pay foe our honeymoon. We were gonna have a wedding regardless. Maybe look at getting it around Christmas time, people tend to spend more then. And offer to pay and have people venmo you. Etc

    • @iunnor
      @iunnor 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +104

      You’re looking at the $4k spend as separate spending. Typically the people opening these cards factor in their everyday expenses along with maybe a big purchase they are going to be making regardless, like a couch or something when considering the $4k spend. To relate it back to your example, that $4k you invest is the same 4k you were supposed to purchase a couch, go out to eat, buy groceries, etc.. for the next couple of months.

    • @hopefulreality
      @hopefulreality 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mackman3294 this could actually be easily reach if you use it for household expenses like rent or mortgage and pay the balance off with the money you were going to use anyway to pay those bills. It’s a creative way to get the most out of the dollars your going to be spending regardless. Doing this take discipline and I wouldn’t recommend for someone who hasn’t even master their budget yet.
