The shotgun conversion for the handmade revolver makes sense, kind of. Shotgun shells and pistol rounds are both relatively low pressure rounds. Homemade shotguns and pistols are pretty common. Rifle calibers would be a lot harder to make into improvised weapons

Quick question is there a proper makeshift/handmade power armor mods? Pls? Cuz lets be honest someone would either want to make one or try to improve on the surprisingly fragile exo suits
Theres a mod called the handmade or homemade smg, it's deadass a luty. Decent customization options but could be expanded. Apparently there's some people trying to design good looking scrap weapons to replace most guns in fallout 4 which I greatly appreciate, fallout 4 needs more craft built guns that would actually function.
Man, I don't know my guns well enough to know **why** the handmade anti material rifle would blow up in my face, but holy crap does it make me feel like a sneaky, powerful sniper. Something the regular rifle just kinda fails on.
The select marksman rifle makes my head hurt. With a bullpup, like the one made mostly of bakelite which has an extended bolt to reach to the magazine, it could load rounds into the chamber from a seemingly impossible distance. But with that thing, the mag is TOO far forward, and extraction from the magazine into the chamber would be a nightmare to design, and might not even function.
The handmade asssult rifle is based on the American AK build community, you buy a parts kit that has every part that was made in a Eastern European factory's that are the size of a small city. When you buy the parts kit all you do is buy a receiver that's classified as the gun and its basically just a peice of square sheet metal that's been bent, then it's assembled with rivets. The AK is a very hard weapon to make in a workshop and is suited to mass production. An AR15 (m4 m16) would be much more easy to make in a small workshop. Making an ammunition type specifically for a homemade rifle is a awful idea. Bethesda should have marked these rifles as imported USSR sporting rifles as they are imported into the US with a thumb hole stock, no muzzel accessory and a 10 round magazine then they are converted to rifles that look like AKs and can accept 30 round mags. .38 is an awful caliber for use in pipe guns as its a rimmed revolver round, I would say that if it was a fallout universe thing that's a metric version of 9mm it would be fine but NV had .38 for revolvers and lever actions, rimmed rounds don't work well at all in semi or fully autos. The combat rifle looks awful, they should have called it a civilian defense carbine and have it in 5.56 or .30 carbine and it should have looked like a NV AR15 or M1 carbine. The assault rifle is awfull it should be a belt fed MG in .308 or 5.56. They should also have a battle rifle that looks like a g3 or FAL in .308. Also they should have more revolvers and lever actions and just overall civilian and military firearms.
So I haven’t right about this till now, but on the vanilla pipe guns, where does the bolt go!!?? We have the magazine a fair bit behind the bolt and most of the time (with notable exceptions) that doesn’t work.
Some game companies will copy a gun from real life but change up the model and name slightly to avoid copyright laws. It saves having to pay license fees or getting into legal trouble.
Ive been wanting to do an entire playthrough with everyone using pipe weapons etc, so these could totally work. might have to make my own balancing/leveled list plugin to go with, as I want pre-war weapons to be really rare, but its at the very least a huge head start.
Ok so 12 guage chamber pressure is actually lower then some handguns so it would actually be easyer to make a revolving shotgun then a full length rifle round like the .308
Why you see more AKs might be because of the ease of use and production. AR15s need abit more exsperience to build and maintain than a AKM which is sorta by design as the Soviets wanted a weapon that was easy to make and maintain. Tho i do agree that its weird we dont see more AR15 style rifles.
Depends if it was machined because stamping equipment is not cheap but maybe since the timeline they have stamping machines avaliable? Not like you can't machine a AK but the design at least in the real world has had a Hardee time adopting to newer technologies like CNC
how did you play whispering hills without it's weather effects? I really like whispering hills but mainly for the added enemies to shoot at, the weather effects are unnecessary for me and I've been looking for a way to remove them and have the regular Fo4 weather or something similar
Pretty sure the select handmade rifle is meant to be an AR10, if memory serves correctly. It was a stamped reciver AR. Essentially it was made with 3rd world countries in mind that were US alies, but didn't have the capacity to mass produce milled recivers. Functionally an AR15, just hella cheaper to build.

Also they should have more revolvers and lever actions and just overall civilian and military firearms.
what hud mod is he using?
the AK looks like the Metro Exodus AK, love it
If there was a mod to turn pipe guns into the guns from rust it would be cool to see with animations of the reloading with the pipe guns.
Hi! What mod is that Armor from in the thumbnail?
its the scavenged ncr armor which is from the mercenary pack mod
"It follows a similar design to the AR-15"
**shows picture of M16**
God the concept art is fantastic and they did fuck all with it
The select assault rifle looks like the service rifle from new vegas
brandy: "looks similer to the m15" *shows an m16*
Not like you can't machine a AK but the design at least in the real world has had a Hardee time adopting to newer technologies like CNC
that "I found the PJAR" comment too funny.
Everytime I look at the vanilla pipe guns they always feels like if just three shots my gun will jammed on me, break apart or explode on me.
I've always imagined Bethesda likes getting hit by hot brass. and that's why all the weapons shoot the brass to the left.
how did you play whispering hills without it's weather effects?
I really like whispering hills but mainly for the added enemies to shoot at, the weather effects are unnecessary for me and I've been looking for a way to remove them and have the regular Fo4 weather or something similar
The Select Marksman Rifle looks kind of like it would feed almost like a tube on a pump shotgun... however that would work.
Honestly missed the Militia Gun. Basically a homemade version of the Defense Gun, very similar concept but more hand craft looking.
Yes yes yes brandyboy has released a new video
that design has been used, the ptrs-41 (the select marksman rifle)
I wish we had a better weapons system like this for New Vegas. I never made it to Fallout 4 or 76

What is the graphics filter on your gameplay footage? I've seen it literally everywhere, and I still don't know how it is called.
