The Orville, New Horizons, is my favorite program. It “hits” me every which way: emotionally, physically, mentally, cooperatively, inventively, and even spiritually. The acting and interacting, the stories, the creative and unique quality of each episode is without parallel. It is, for me, one of a kind. It brings out the best, and sometimes worst, of the human condition. Whatever the plot, there is a pleasing ending to each episode that works beautifully. Each episode is thought provoking and memorable. The characters and interplay are precious and memorable. For me, aside from the science not yet realized in our civilization yet, it represents the way our world should be but unfortunately is not. One can only hope that the future might begin to take seriously some of the “lessons” we see with the cooperation and willingness to understand different points of view that are strongly portrayed in the series. I see the Orville (even as an old lady in her 70s) as a “Feel Good” program! I admit to being a Trekkie since the mid-60s, when the original Star Trek was aired. I also admit to being an original Baby Boomer (‘46).

Season 3 was good, but i'm not sure about 'having more stories to tell'. Season 3 was about 80% revisiting plotlines of old episodes. They *need* exploration. I thought we'd be getting ir with a title like 'New Horizons', but they explored for one episode, then got plot-locked out of the rest of the galaxy by the Krill. I hope for season 4 as well, I just don't want any Bortus melodrama, sci-fi god people worshipping Kelly or couples counseling for Isaac and the doc. Go exploring. Meet new aliens. First contact, mysteries to solve... that kinda thing. And for the love of god, add a few fart jokes back in. That was what made Orville different. Realism. Star Trek isn't realistic in its characters. No one chooses to spend their time off reading a 400 year old Vulcan philosophy book. Instead, you and your bud would nom a synthesized pot brownie, go to a club, see a 2-butted thicc alien girl, at which point your wingman becomes your tag-team partner, because theres just too many cheeks for one man to clap.
@@Volyren I feel like people that complain about there being less comedy in season 3 completely missed the last episode or something. It felt like a season 1, except with a bigger budget and near feature length. There were jokes galore and the old "season one" lighter comedy feel was back. You can't please everyone as we all know, and that's fine. But you comedy fans got nearly 2 seasons of that, and it was great! But New Horizons attempted (and IMO succeeded) in turning Orville into a *mostly* serious Sci-Fi show with some chops, and I really appreciated that and it blew me away. The old plot references from past seasons were one of the best parts I thought. It was beautifully done. But to each their own.
Amazing that rotten tomatoes scored the Orville a much higher rating (with audiences and critics) than the current Star Wars mini series on Disney +. Yes, Disney executives mainly look at the numbers (of viewers), but should have the fore-site to see how big this show could get if it kept going and the options to create merchandise deals! The show will continue to grow when more people watch and find it on Disney +. Let's renew the Orville, Disney and Hulu!
but they do it that way because sheer numbers are what drives their business model. I hope we get more Orville, but it's never going to compete with those big legacy franchises in terms of actual business or brand value. It is what it is.
@@nel1962 I would tend to agree, but that's both subjective and beside the fact that Disney+ gets more value from them than they ever will from The Orville.
@@Tim85-y2q yes. Star Wars, like Marvel, is a cash cow for Disney. Their consistent success despite their inconsistent quality proves that people will watch them based on brand recognition alone. The Orville, as wonderful as it is, is very much a niche product.
The amazing thing about season 3 was that even though they were longer, I never felt like they were long episodes. They did a great job keeping you invested
Please please please make season 4 happen!! It's the best sci fi show ever. It's clear they put there hart and sole in the show starting in the second half of the second season and continued into the third season. It's utterly fantastic and I think it should get an award . I love it. Please Disney make it happen.
After a shaky 1st season, Orville, like Star Trek TOS, found the right combination of good storytelling, action and humor. My favorite character is Bortus, my least favorite was Charli. The way they had her talking back to superior officers and blurting out her thoughts and disagreements at high level meetings (why was an Ensign even at these meetings?) was too much to take. Thankfully they killed her off, just hope the series isn't killed off.
The Orville blows ALL other science fiction out of the water, everything about it is 10/10, whether it is characters, scripts, sets and fx nothing comes close
The Orville is what Star Trek (after Enterprise) SHOULD have been. Thank God for Seth MacFarlane. I haven't enjoyed a sci-fi TV series this much since Babylon 5.
I was a big fan of The Orville when it was on Fox for the first two seasons. I heard they made a third season but I don't have a Hulu subscription so I couldn't watch it. When it popped up on Disney+ I immediately started watching it! I rewatched the first two seasons and then went through the third season. I have to say that the third season was phenomenal! I loved the visual effects they gave the show but I really loved the writing! It was some of the best sci-fi show writing I've seen. There were so many memorable episodes and moments! I genuinely hope they green light a season 4 because I can't imagine this show not getting better with a new season!
The hard thing is that even if there is a 4th season it will be another 2 years before we see it. But I’m afraid because all the actors and staff are moving on to other projects and may not be able to come back.
I can not understand how they can not just go for the 4th season. This season was amazing and the best of all shows this year. Took 3 years to get it and maybe not as viewership because of how long it took. BUT it was a 4 star top tier show give it a 4th season 12 ep and see how it works. Give it that shot with a full making and people following now while they hot.
Covid , executive apathy ,too much time has passed and with such hiatus most people are likely contracted to other productions . If we were to get another season we are likely years away if at all. I personally want it back
The more the story moving forward, the more relatable, personal and touching the story. Some episodes are very dramatic and emotional. The Orville changes from Star Trek parody into a great TV show of its own with great character and plot. My new favorite show it is.
Honestly, if there isn't another season of the Orville, I won't be quite as broken up about it as I've been about other cancelled shows. They got to explore a lot of ideas, and fully develop great characters. There aren't a lot of burning mysteries and deep questions left unanswered, and season 3 didn't end on a perilous cliffhanger. More Orville would be great, and definitely worth watching, but what we got was satisfying as it stands. Now...if they made one or more Orville "made for streaming" movies just to let us return to that universe and those characters again, without committing to a whole season, I'd be up for that too.
We should all collectively watch Orville on Disney+ on background even if we've watched it before. That way Disney can see that we actually do have interest and care.
The Orville is quite possibly one of the most brilliant sci-fi ideas to ever grace the small screen. I love how Seth can mix realistic social drama with just the right amount of humor to keep things light. I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me. We really do need a fourth season (and fifth, and sixth, etc etc)
The simple fact that there are more unresolved plot points dangling from season 3 than tassels on a shirt from the 60s is reason enough for me to want a fourth season.
@@davidnagore725 True. But I do come from a long line of Elvis impersonators. Which I guess is also a relevant smart ass comment I could have made. Lol.

Apparently Seth is going to be busy making the Ted Tv series. However, I would like to see Adrianna take over as Captain. I have noticed that she has been given more responsibility in Season 3. As soon as I saw the Orville on Disney+ I immediately began watching. This is a great show. The show has become even better. The shows are more drama and less comedic. The new character is a welcome addition. I would like to see more of the other crew members too! Good job everyone.
The Orville is one of my "go to" shows to watch in reruns. Season 3 had some really great episodes. A few times I wondered about character use but overall it was great. Hoping that there is a 4th season.
I just finished watching all three seasons yesterday (Wednesday, August 24) here in the UK where the show airs on Star via Disney+ all in all it took me less than a week, I just couldn’t put the show down. S1 was okay/average at best S2 was much better S3 fuck me on a Christmas cracker the crew actually got an actual budget, S3 has been the best season so far, by a merry fucking mile. Overall I would say the show reminds me of what I love the most about the Rick Berman era of Star Trek, which is ironic when you consider executive producers, directors and guest cast (to a lesser extent on the latter). Disney would be stupid not to fucking renew this show, I mean they already own Star Wars as an IP and have their own version of Star Trek (essentially) that could compete with Paramount+ and Star Trek itself, isn’t that a win-win in the name of competition? Honestly I think Disney need to consider renewing the show for S4 and a S5, although I’d just take a fourth season renewal for the time being.
I absolutely love this series! Seth MacFarlane is an absolute genius. I’m a sci-fi nut, and I love the whole motif, Star Trek-based, but with the language of today and the people of today. Absolute priceless, I hope and pray that they bring a fourth season and the fifth and the sixth and so on
This show needs to be renewed, apart from a few parts of the Topa episode, season 3 had me smiling at my TV throughout, and making time to sit down and watch it intently. There are no other shows that have done that for me in recent memory, other than the expense, which has also ended... #renewtheorville
Going to Disney+ would be a terrible move especially with their crashing numbers and that some 150 million is bullshit; most of that are free or gratis accounts. Seth needs to find a way to keep this going and on Hulu.
I watched it on Disney + i love the Orville, looking forward to series 4. Hope we get it, would be a shame if it ends. Anything Seth puts his hands to has been gold.
I found this show by chance and was hooked from the beginning. I know and enjoyed every Star Trek series but this show touched me on a different level. I like the epic space and planet vistas, awesome battle scenes and the great music score but what really hooked me were the actors and the storylines. I enjoyed how the different members of the crew evolved during the seasons and how genuine their acting was. This in-depth storylines, paired with tongue-in-cheek humour makes the Orville a great show. I do hope for a 4th and more seasons
I loved the more serious tone of season 3, though the humour is still there. The Orville is undoubtedly one of the best Sci-Fi shows out there right now, it deserves a much longer run. #RenewTheOrville
I’ve been starved for a good sci-fi show for what feels like years and I’ve just found the Orville on Hulu. This show is awesome! I really hope they have a season 4, 5, 6, and so on.
Great video guys thank you Funny the shows I had to fight to save over the years (Stargate, the expanse, dark matter, the Orville) I’m starting to wonder if I’m the problem
The clowns over at SyFy wouldn’t know a great Sci-Fi show if it bit them in the ass. Still miffed that _Continuum_ and _Caprica_ were cancelled along with all the other great shows already mentioned.
I think this is the most fun you can have watching a TV series I think I have watched at least 3 times from start to end of season 3 . Love another one
A few episodes in New Horizons were absolute masterpieces. This season will win multiple awards. McFarland will be working on the Ted TV series for a while, if the Orville gets renewed they know McFarland won’t be available immediately anyways so there is no rush. I could see them coming back in about 5-10 years to do a new season after new horizons becomes widely known as an undeniable solid classic.
I was pissed when it went off Fox. I got Hulu to catch up. Now I have to get Disney plus to watch my favorite show??? Well, yes, because I love it! KEEP THIS SHOW GOING
I have been a fan of the Orville since the beginning. I love SciFi and Seth has a brilliant and different kind of SciFi twist that's bright and funny. I have followed on all the streaming channels so far and considering Disney didn't produce any seasons like HULU did I think they should give it a chance since they took all the Marvels and Star Wars. If Orville streams on another channel I don't know if I can follow because how many streaming channels can I afford? Hoping it works out for you Seth and here's hoping I can continue to watch.
Oh yes I think we should have a season 4. They can start it off with those creatures that took over some of their crew and changed them. That would make for a good story line.
The show has gone from very good to fantastic. It definitely deserves many more seasons. But it's probably not being marketed correctly to attract new viewers. Many people that I know have never even heard of it. 🙄
Enjoyed ALL 3 seasons thus far; would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see a fourth (and possibly at least a fifth) season as well (as long as they are able to keep the same quality of writing and visuals). #RenewTheOrville That being said, the moment wokeness sneaks in, I'm out...
I'm on board, i want renewed S4 with additional future seasons, it took me about a week to watch all 3 seasons, I was hooked. I love the show, especially the stories, each episodes are unique, i like how there are continuous sub-stories throughout, it makes the show watchable. I like all the cast, I hope Halston Sage comes back, i thought her character was great to follow. Anyway don't let "The Orville" fade away, you've made a fan out of me...
I couldn't even make it through Kenobi. Star Trek Strange New Worlds is okay. But it's Orville that I tuned into with great enthusiasm. Please do a season four.
Disney+ absolutely introduced me to the Orville through a friend's recommendation (I'm not a hulu person). In one month I absolutely crushed the whole series twice. It is a love letter to Star Trek TNG, Star Gate, and so many other late 90's and early 2000's sci-fi shows.

Nearly every episode of S03 made me cry. I love this show.

Same here ! Season three was great, very thought out and moving.
i could watch that show for 20 seasons+, it's fantastic
The Orville is renewed.
On my hard drive. So i can share it with my kids.
Its not really amazing, the Orville was much much better!
but they do it that way because sheer numbers are what drives their business model. I hope we get more Orville, but it's never going to compete with those big legacy franchises in terms of actual business or brand value. It is what it is.
The current Disney Star Wars shows are legitimately awful.
Hell yea the show was infectious
Please please please make season 4 happen!! It's the best sci fi show ever. It's clear they put there hart and sole in the show starting in the second half of the second season and continued into the third season. It's utterly fantastic and I think it should get an award . I love it. Please Disney make it happen.
"I'm here Amanda." The completion of a season long character story arc. It got me.
Authority Figures are usually narcissistic jerks without much intelligence.
The Orville blows ALL other science fiction out of the water, everything about it is 10/10, whether it is characters, scripts, sets and fx nothing comes close
That's just not true... it is amazing work, but so is most of the mandalorian...and the bad batch as well
@@kyleferguson4236 Those shows don't even compare. It's not even sci-fi, it's just fantasy in space.
@@kyleferguson4236 mandalorian is just typical star bores
The Orville is what Star Trek (after Enterprise) SHOULD have been. Thank God for Seth MacFarlane.
I haven't enjoyed a sci-fi TV series this much since Babylon 5.
well, i truly have loved it but i also loved the Expanse. Mando is fun, but the bar is really low in the star wars setting.
Really hope there's more seasons. It's easily my favorite show out right now
The hard thing is that even if there is a 4th season it will be another 2 years before we see it. But I’m afraid because all the actors and staff are moving on to other projects and may not be able to come back.
Yes if it did get 4th it would be new cast
I love the Orville! I am watching it again on Disney plus and telling all my friends to watch it. I pray it will renew 🙏
This was the best season of ANY sci-fi show I’ve seen in a long time.
Execs: "Hmmm, we're not sure we want to air a season four...
Fans: "YOU WILL BE SILENT!!"
I really hope there are more future seasons. I love this show. Watched it on hulu and looked forward to it every week.
This season was absolutely awesome!!!! Gets better every single season!!! Please bring it back!!! We want season 4!!! Please!!!
This was a great show hope they continue to make many more seasons
The simple fact that there are more unresolved plot points dangling from season 3 than tassels on a shirt from the 60s is reason enough for me to want a fourth season.
Don't you mean than tassels on a Kaylon stripper?
@@woogha LMAO! Clearly you weren't around during the 60s.
@@davidnagore725 True. But I do come from a long line of Elvis impersonators. Which I guess is also a relevant smart ass comment I could have made. Lol.
@@woogha 🤣
Please remind me, what plot threads are there besides Mercer's daughter and the associated Krill/Moklan conflict?
I love the Orville season 3 just blew my mind. Their are still so many stories to tell.
This is one of my favorite show I've seen. Hoping season 4 happens. It's a perfect combo of comedy, sci-fi, action, romance, drama and keep u on the edge of your seat plot. We all need to write the studio qnd make them keep it going
Please continue the Orville man
I want to see a three season deal - but like Brian said on the livestream, the odds are slim to none that we’ll see anymore of the Orville
I hope they get a S4, it is a great show.
Apparently Seth is going to be busy making the Ted Tv series. However, I would like to see Adrianna take over as Captain. I have noticed that she has been given more responsibility in Season 3. A good story would be is if Ed goes on a secret mission to save his daughter from Krill, which leaves Kelly to take over for now. What do you think?
That would be perfect
Yesssss
Wonderful and entertaining show. Definitely needs renewing. The quality of the acting, visuals, and storytelling is brilliant.
This is the best science fiction series since Star Trek the Next Generation and Star Trek Deep Space Nine
You need to check out The Expanse
Not even remotely true. Check out:
FRINGE
The Entire Stargate Franchise
Stranger Things
LOST
Alias
Firefly
Galactica
Watchmen
Rick and Morty...
I could do this all day.
BS:G. "So Say We All"! Galactica fans know you meant "best Trek series" since. There are numerous other sci-fi series since DS9 ended. "Yes, fans of The Expanse and Stargate: SG1. We hear you also". 😉🖖🏼✌🏼
@@APTKC2025 Exactly. He's one of those that love The Next Generation and DS-9 Trekkers. No appreciation for Voyager and Enterprise. They are out there. Personally, OST>tng
Kirk will bitchslap Picard. Lol. Jk
@@klass_1221 the Stargate SG-1 episode "Abyss" for example, is IMHO far better than ANYTHING in The Orville. It just is.
Y'know the original Star Trek only had 3 years...I want a season 4 but if we don't get it I have a feeling we won't have seen the last of the Orville.
Renew the Orville!!!!
This season (3) was so freakin amazing . Such great writing,
I just started the Orville 3 months ago and binged and love it and want more.
My dad is a star trek next Gen fan and star gate fan , so am I. But I keep telling him to watch the Orville because it is incredible, it has a little bit of everything in the stories
Loved the orville it's just sad if they don't make it. Alot of great scifi shows get cancelled but hope season 4 comes we need it
As soon as I saw the Orville on Disney+ I immediately began watching.
S1 was okay/average at best
S2 was much better
S3 fuck me on a Christmas cracker the crew actually got an actual budget, S3 has been the best season so far, by a merry fucking mile.
Honestly I think Disney need to consider renewing the show for S4 and a S5, although I’d just take a fourth season renewal for the time being.
rick berman was a dick, turns out it was braga that was the better leader.
just discovered this series and binge watched it on Disney. Would love to see a season 4 please....
I absolutely love this series! Seth MacFarlane is an absolute genius. I’m a sci-fi nut, and I love the whole motif, Star Trek-based, but with the language of today and the people of today. Absolute priceless, I hope and pray that they bring a fourth season and the fifth and the sixth and so on
I do hope they do carry on with the orville season 4 and 5 and beyond
They should show it on regular tv
I just binge-watched all seasons over the Labor Day weekend. It was AWESOME. It deserves to be renewed! RE-NEW, RE-NEW, RE-NEW!!!
Season 3 was very strong, would love to see a season 4!
Bro season 3 was tugging on heartstrings tho with Malloy having a family in the past
I would LOVE to see the matriarchal Janisis confront the patriarchal Moclans in a season 4.
We need this show
We just rewatched seasons 1 and 2 on Disney+. Four episodes into season 3 so far. Higher quality effects. Enjoying it so far.
I loved the more serious tone of season 3, though the humour is still there. The Orville is undoubtedly one of the best Sci-Fi shows out there right now, it deserves a much longer run. #RenewTheOrville
SIX SEASONS AND A MOVIE.
Yes, Brother. #TheOrville #RenewTheOrville #sixseasonsandmovie
That is the opposite of what “to dwarf” means. Disney+’s subscribers dwarf Hulu’s.
If a season 4 isn't in the cards, I hope we at least get a movie to close it out. Like Serenity did with Firefly.
I love The Orville ! but not sure if it can beat The Expanse at The Saturn Awards 😬🤷🤞
It should. The expanse really disappointed me in the last season..
Strangr New worlds will most likely blow it away
Sorry, but given the choice of Expanse or Orville, I’d go Expanse. Don’t get me wrong S3 of the Orville was excellent, better than I expected.
I’ve been starved for a good sci-fi show for what feels like years and I’ve just found the Orville on Hulu. This show is awesome! I really hope they have a season 4, 5, 6, and so on.
Nice video as always guys!
Thanks PJ!
The Orville is the reason I'm getting into Star Trek, Stargate, etc. Without this show I wouldn't have thought to try them out.
Great video guys thank you
Funny the shows I had to fight to save over the years (Stargate, the expanse, dark matter, the Orville) I’m starting to wonder if I’m the problem
Thanks Nicholas! then we both must be the problem LOL Because we are right there with you :) Appreciate your support always!
I really liked dark matter, timing was wrong for the show tho
forgot firefly lol
While I personaly didn't enjoy Season 3 as much as the first two, I'd still would like to see more.
If you ask me if they have an award-winning cast I love every person and every character they definitely made all the right choices on this show
I have been a fan of the Orville since the beginning.
I would prefer to watch it on Disney Plus for one major reason. No ads. I think it was a smart move to draw a larger audience.
Oh yes I think we should have a season 4. They can start it off with those creatures that took over some of their crew and changed them. That would make for a good story line.
I keep rewatching the show. Its ridiculous how good it is
Really love the Orville, and I'm jonesing for more seasons! This show is why I bought Hulu...c'mon folks, #renewtheorville
We need more seasons! This is so well done! Come on Disney! This is so great!
It is one of the best sci fi shows out there, that being said I am worried that Disney might intrude and ruin it if there were a 4th season.
Dont think they would if Seth is still involved...
Season 3 was the greatest season so far, can't wait for Season 4!
The show has gone from very good to fantastic. It definitely deserves many more seasons. But it's probably not being marketed correctly to attract new viewers. Many people that I know have never even heard of it. 🙄
If they continue the quality writing, they deserve many more seasons.
Enjoyed ALL 3 seasons thus far; would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see a fourth (and possibly at least a fifth) season as well (as long as they are able to keep the same quality of writing and visuals). #RenewTheOrville
That being said, the moment wokeness sneaks in, I'm out...

I watched all 3 seasons on Disney+.
This last season 3 sukd a DKKKKKKKK.. HORRIBLE vortue signaling. ZERO COMEDY... nothanks
I hope to see not only more seasons, but also movies of "The Orville." like their example "Star trek" Great show love it so much
A movie would be an awesome thing!!!
I couldn't even make it through Kenobi. Star Trek Strange New Worlds is okay. But it's Orville that I tuned into with great enthusiasm. Please do a season four.
Lord please renew!
The Walt Disney Company wants franchises. "The Orville" needs to be able to become a Disneyland attraction, a movie, a book, etc.
