"...use those two elements to produce carbon..." while it is not wrong, it surelly sounds stupid. later, she says, that they use it to break up methane. perhaps the video is just stupidly cut without scientific knowledge
It's meaning that without really, really specialised equipment, you can't get close enough to see them. Less people have been in places such as challenger deep as people were on the moon.
Easy. Show me footage or substantial data showing that he actually exists and isn't just a cartoon. If he does exist, it could very well be that he hasn't been proven to be real, because he is invisible (and thus hard to find and study). Nice try being funny, but the counter to that was pretty obvious.. Another obvious counter is that they made him more colorful for children's television, even though the real thing looks totally different, which cartoon creators have done with numerous cartoon creatures for decades.
invisible* Well, I have already laid out how that could be the case. Adaptations of animals as t.v. characters can look totally alien to what they actually look like. So it's not inconceivable that he would be invisible, which would make for difficult television, thus they change the design of the character.
Nobody has gone to the deepest depths of a ocean, but here is a good link to show you where the deepest Remote Operator Vehicle (R.O.V) are being used :- th-cam.com/video/xYtGISQCfzI/w-d-xo.html The link at the end of the video takes you to their website which will soon be showing this years dives.
Such a life-rich environment, so far removed from destructive weather and solar and other effects... I imagine that it represents where all life first lived and evolved to spread out and conquer the rest of the world.
Our own bodies are just a complex relationship between microorganisms that have evolved with each other. We are in control of our bodies with our minds, but our bodies are in control of us having only evolved senses, nerves, and eventually reactions to our environment. The relationships between these micro organisms is on a chemical level, and the ones that survive are the ones that had slight gene mutations giving them perhaps a single nerve to react to sunlight or touch or the cold or hot, and as those systems of life reproduce and have more gene mutations, eventually we have life in the form of complex organisms consisting of micro organisms and consisting of cells that only exist ultimately to prolong the life of the bacteria living inside you. Thats why you are living with a brain that lets you nourish your body, protect your body, and pass on your legacy to the next generation.
I don't enough knowledge on this; but does our light hurt eyes of deep sea creatures? From I understand, the evolution built them to live in the complete darkness. So, when we bring them up to the surface and stay under the light or bring the light down them the deep sea, won't it equivalent to bring a sun or a super strong light to them and burning their eyes?
Nick Cooper well, space vehicles and water vehicles is very different. Making vehicles for space is much easier because there is no pressure up there. But Vehicles for the ocean, especially for that deep, phew. Its like building a can that doesnt gets crashed by a ton of water; hard right? You get it?
I also thought creatures from very deep do not survive the lack of extreme pressure, perhaps they brought them up very gradually. Yeti crabs with those swaying arms, just amazing.
They aren't wasting money. There are many applications for their research, like microbes which use H2S and methane can be used for biofuel manufacturing, breaking down of some plastics. Who knows maybe they even find an enzyme to make new drugs.
Nature is incredible. I really admire the scientists the dedicate their lives to this and want to say thank you.
You’re very welcome we put a lot of work into this video.
You welcome bud
They take the oxygen and sulphur and turn it into carbon
Crafting level: over 9000
deep sea particle accelerators :o
I think she meant that they are farming the by product, which is carbon.
"...use those two elements to produce carbon..."
while it is not wrong, it surelly sounds stupid.
later, she says, that they use it to break up methane. perhaps the video is just stupidly cut without scientific knowledge
I love these mini docs @Motherboard !!
shame they did not show footage of the microorganisms, those can look amazing
they decided to be progressive and show of women scientists lol
So glad this popped up as an ad. Watched the entire thing! More people should watch this stuff.
Great vid, more natural sciences/biotech please!
Please keep doing these
Isn't the title kind of like saying "The inaudible sounds of ants"?
Sebastian Elytron who cares just enjoy the video
Have you been sniffing gasogem, Twinsen..?
It's meaning that without really, really specialised equipment, you can't get close enough to see them. Less people have been in places such as challenger deep as people were on the moon.
All ants can sing, but you need very powerful microphones to pick up the sounds...
If they are invisible, explain spongebob.
Only Zeus can answer that question!

sirmoglok He does exist hes on tv numnuts thats real footage
since when is spongebob insivable you twit.

Thanks for posting!
that crab is really fascinating.
But we haven't even been to the bottom. These are the invisible creatures on the upper walls of bottom of the ocean

I love scientists, they are all crazy because of knowledge.
I do not think of them as crazy. But a LOT more like the curious minds we had as kids.
what about the deep water horizon?........I'd like to see what the bottom looks like there
Such a life-rich environment, so far removed from destructive weather and solar and other effects... I imagine that it represents where all life first lived and evolved to spread out and conquer the rest of the world.
Eric Wood there's a lot of destruction and mayhem going on in the ocean we just don't see it
this is a dream job
what music is it at the end? i looked into ~100 videos of jnigle punks, didn't found it :(
I also need to know
Same here!
yo i've been looking for it too. if anyone finds it plz post it in the comments
did you get this tune ?
nope ._.
What if someone inside that submarine ate chili or cabbage the day before
We know more about the moon and the cosmos than we do about the oceans. Marinade on that.
Doesn't it kill these animals bringing them up where there is much less pressure? Do they get decompression sickness?

beautiful...
9:15 the name of this tune anyone ? :D
Hey, wh ich video has that lava steaming as it goes into the ocean?
the crabs at 4:46 are worshiping you as their god
Who run the world!... microorganism !.
Who run the world!... microorganism !.
....
I want to join such team .... I have no certificate on science field but I can do anything. .
Is talking to a film crew with I guarantee you a $100,000 camera
Sees a need to pull the Yeti Crab out of the tank
now those fab dabbing Yeti crabs can dab in the lab
Anyone know why they dropped a slice of pizza down there at 4:59 ?
We haven’t explored the deep sea, I’m convinced we never went to the moon

Playing scientist not getting much done definitely not curing cancer, better than working I suppose.
4:46 dancing crabs =)
Epic. The zoo we call planet Earth.
With one particular animal gone into destructive rampage...
What im trying to understand how do we get a job like this and similar can someone please explai?n to me
Scientists are so much sexier than beauticians.
Trust me these sexy scientists are not interested in rubbing genitals with men.
Good People making the World Better ... Bless you All ! Be careful down there ! :-)
Coooooooooool
carrying an own farm, wow!
omg the octonauts shirt I love it
8:17 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 shes ADORABLE
0:10 Aquaman?
cool
Is she greek? "Heraclian task" Anyone else would say "herculean task"
This is an invisible comment at the bottom of the comment section ...
Do some mind blowing shit about space
Bring them to the moon of titan
Very Horaculan. Like the God Horaclus...
How can they survive on the surface? Shouldn't they explode?
not gas filled. no expanding parts. explosions are rapid expansions of gas. ergo, no explosion.
I also thought creatures from very deep do not survive the lack of extreme pressure, perhaps they brought them up very gradually. Yeti crabs with those swaying arms, just amazing.
So they are like different organs of a system.
So isn't this like killing and organ harvesting .
🤔🤔😢
A heraculan task? Did she mean a herculean task?
Heracles was the earlier Greek version of Hercules. :)
On a serious note, I wonder how much human garbage is down there...
About 12 petatrumps worth
We have an awesome creator!
One so awesome people are suffering, yay!
Awesome creator created cancer yay!!!
Apparently the comment section agrees, you should've tried to find an interview with someone who .... makes a bit more sense
Translucent
steals like 10 rare crabs in the name of science??
Dazanar yup and then cooked it for dinnrr
Unknown to science...they were discovered about10 years ago. Ummm that's not how it works
Rad😎
This should be proof enough that evolution is a lie! This was the makings of a grand designer/ creator.
the title alone makes cringe. I’m honestly afraid of the types of creatures that live down there. Just creepy lol
Why do women who gravitate towards science always look like the 3 women in this vid.
i saw a swimmer without suit, and you say its the Bottom of the Sea... this vid needs better editing
this guys better get real jobs and start farting around on tax payers money
boo

What's it like not being able to tie your own fucking shoe laces man?
LOL
Braindead cretin
my sin of gluttony for knowledge
cool
