    So important .... never expected a simple household chore would cause a spasm, now I realize appropriate posture is so important.

    This was so wonderfully helpful. Especially that message about learning through mistakes-and the implication that that’s okay. I needed that after overdoing it this week!

      Thank you so much for your support of my channel! I'm glad the video was helpful for you, and I'm SO GLAD you caught that part (about learning through mistakes)... mistakes can be painful, but they're the best way to learn especially when you catch them quickly and re-do. Best wishes!

    This is great info! As for the vacuuming, I invested in a good robo-vac and a robo-mopper. I can then use a very light weight stick style vacuum and broom to touch up whatever the robo-vac and mopper miss.

    Thank you so much doctor You have given such great advice I have had pelvic prolapse I'm 75 and I have a small channel and I Don't know how I've mentioned it once before to mention pelvic prolapse but I don't know how to bring it up mine's a beauty channel but I believe so many women my age need to know this mine was a total prolapse I mean I went around for one year in terrible pain holding myself down at the bottom even when we went out it was so embarrassing lol but I finally went to the doctor's and they suggested a hysterectomy I am too old and I have had a heart attack and a lot of medical conditions so I didn't really qualify for that so I got to pessary it has helped me so much the pain down there has stopped I have ulcerated colitis severely and it has not ever fallen out so one of these days I could have bring up your channels in case somebody's interested in that because we're all older women on my channel basically and I think we need to know this some of us like myself are too unhealthy and older to have operations God bless thank you for a wonderful channel❤

      I'm so glad a pessary has been helpful for you! That's great. Regarding sharing your story, if you ever feel called or compelled to talk about your own experience with prolapse, I'm sure *so many* women would be grateful! These pelvic health conditions are so much more common than most people realize... you're not alone, and anything you can do to help spread the word -- whether that's sharing your own journey, or sharing my TH-cam channel (or specific videos) with other people -- is INCREDIBLE. Blessings to you!

    I always exhale when I exert. That’s what I learned years ago from your channel. Now it seems it’s ok to exhale first. So it’s no wrong way is my understanding. I learned something new today. Thanks

    What I found that aided me during therapy so I didn't have to get surgery.. I found that having a gopher those pick up stix to pick up random items on the floor like shoes,clothes. Also I ditched the dust pan for a butler one that has a stick on the end and you don't have to bend over... for me bending over was a problem I felt like everything was going out. So I had to strengthen the muscles get everything cinched back before I could bend over again ..I did it for about a month. those two tools help me out greatly. I still use them especially when I get feeling some issues. I will now stagger my legs I did not know this....

    Thank you for the reminder Dr. Bri! As a mom of 2 littles who are under 2, I'm always lifting either of them and doing lots of chores around the house, so am on my feet a lot. I haven't paid much attention to my posture, so this is a great reminder to help keep my pelvic floor as healthy and strong as I can.
    I was wondering, do you think Pilates is generally safe for prolapse? I got a lot stronger since my diagnosis, thanks to your videos and physical therapy. Did some higher impact stuff and am dealing with a flare the past few days so am dialing things down, so would like to know your thoughts! Thanks again for all that you do to help people like me!

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh gosh, parents of littles have SO MUCH to think about... posture can be the last thing on your mind! However, I'm glad you're *aware* of the importance, and will now be taking steps toward lifting and aligning yourself correctly. You've got this!!! Re: Pilates, it can be great as long as you're breathing correctly (to manage your intra-abdominal and intra-pelvic pressure). You might want to try my total-body Pilates wall workout to get some cues for proper breathing and for how to maintain proper pelvic floor/core activation - th-cam.com/video/cEDqH7hgpok/w-d-xo.html

      Roman chair exercises can be part of a broader core-strengthening routine but may not directly engage pelvic floor muscles. If you have pelvic floor concerns, consult a healthcare professional before trying them to ensure they're safe for you. ~Vibrant Support
