A TYPICAL SUNDAY IN A GHANA HOME | LIVING IN GHANA | COOKING GHANA FOOD
Is Ghana nice to live in? Well this video will give you an idea of what its like to live in Ghana.
Spend a relaxing sunday afternoon with me in my Ghanaian home with my Ghanaian family. We will go to a Ghana market and then make a popular Ghana dish called Banku and Okro.
In Ghanaian cuisine, banku is a swallow dish made of a slightly fermented cooked mixture of maize and cassava doughs formed into single-serving balls. Banku is cooked in hot water until it turns into a smooth, whitish paste, and then served with soup, okra stew or a pepper sauce with fish.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
I love episodes featuring Aisha…she’s always happy and she looks so much like my cousin! Thank you ladies!
Hello
When Jasmine and Aisha are together, it's like a comedy show 😂. Aisha has some "one liners" that are so hilarious. They make my day.😂
😅
The women of Ghana are its true blessing ❤
Jasmine you introduced us to this fish market a while back and I am forever grateful. It is now my go to place for fresh fish.
Ohh lovely 💕
Bnn
After watching the entire video, I think I can try to prepare Ghanaian food from right in Kenya. Everything is clearly explained.

Hi jasmine I enjoy seeing u an Aisha together. I like my okra fried. I don’t care for it slimy. But in my house hold in tv United States we like it slimy cooked with different dishes like peas
Ohh never had it fried. Also didn’t know u guys had it slimy 🥰
@@JasmineAmaaFried okra is very popular among Southerners and African Americans. I love it spiced.
That is perfect Soup ❤
So good 🥰
What a nice video. I like all the fresh produce and seafood at the market everything looks so cheap and organic from my perspective😉. Aisha is like a breath of fresh air, I imagine myself chatting with her and eating. She is so much fun! Perhaps she could use banana leaves for wrapping instead of the plastic bag. Much love ❤
Eiih Ghanafou food always looks good and delicious.
Now everything is set,let the preparation begin
The variety of flavours is soul beautiful.
We love your cousin!! She is so pleasant. Love you too Jasmine!!
Always glad to see you two together 😊

Nice video Jasmine and Aisha!! The dynamic duo. I am vegan now but I love Okra stew. I used to eat it with rice sometimes back in the day. I might buy some and try to make a vegan okra stew. Thanks for sharing this video. Have a blessed day and GOD bless you both.
💕 why did u go vegan?
@@JasmineAmaa well I did it for health reasons. In 1999 I was 165 pounds which is 74 kg. And then 3 years later I was 339 pounds which is 154 kg. I became morbidly obese, which means I was severely and dangerously overweight. When I became vegan I lost a lot of weight. And it healed my acid reflux disease. Also my sleep apnea went away. I used to sleep with a pap machine just to help me breathe. I was in very bad health. The vegan lifestyle saved my life. I was also borderline diabetic. But not anymore, at 42 years old I am 192 pounds which is 88 kilos. I don't even exercise, the vegan diet keeps me in shape. I guarantee you if you try it you will feel better. Hope this helps.
I’m coming that looks delicious

THAT GARDEN EGG HERE IN MALAYSIA WE CALL IT EGG AUBERGINE. WE ALSO LOVE TO EAT IT RAW WITH CHILLY PASTE OR SAMBAL. XD
Oh Interesting
Hmmmm Delicious ❤❤
😋 🥰🥰
In the USA we call that seafood gumbo
This is not gumbo
@@Frank-Bediko62 have you ever made gumbo?
@@KenyattaGross Yes. My partner is from originally from New New Orleans and her family runs a popular Cajun restaurant in Chicago. The ingredients could be the same but preparation is different. It takes a far longer time to prepare gumbo. This dish could made in less 30 minutes of cooking time. Also there is no roux. I know gumbo has its roots from the Senegambian area.
Yummy. Bon appetite.
3:19 It appears to be Pearl Stingrays
