The Wall 2000 OG-Times He actually got me into the hobby as well. The first video I ever watched about RCs actually. He beat the crap out of 2 RCs and the one only broke the a arm after a huge jump, the other wasn't broke at all. I was used to Walmart/Kmart etc etc RCs that broke after a day. I thought the 500-1000 dollar RCs were the same. His video changed my mind big time. I've since bought a Revo 3.3 and a Summit for myself, a Stampede for my brother, a Rustler for his GF, a Teton and a Prerunner for my niece's. I had no idea they were that durable until I seen his video. Now I have a LOT of fun beating the snot of of them and being able to still drive them home.
I haven't had any issues with the rod ends or the axle popping out since I put 90mm HR limiting straps on the rear. Lighter tires also helps. The E-Revo is an extremely fun truck, but the reliability of the stock platform is definitely a problem.
Anthony - I'm about to order 90mm straps as well. I know they save the shocks but that's awesome news the save the rods too. Maybe it offers a touch of cushion when the susp is fully extended, which prevents the rods from snatching out.
I also put 60wt oil in the rear around the same time, but I think it's more the straps. I am now having trouble with the rod ends stretching, not sure what to do about that.
Hi kev i live i’m portuguese and i really love your vids! Even my 2y old boy want to see your vids! Just want let you know that i have one e revo 2.0 and i did some upgrades that can help like help me! I have one single savox servo and work perfect! Another is i have put 2 straps holding the arms to reduce the travel on the back! That way it looks like that protects a bit! At least untill now i dont have any problems! Thanks and continue doing what you do best making my son and dad happy peace
I'm so glad you got it sorted. I wanted so badly to tell you try a different transmitter on your last video but you were saying it worked on all your other RC's so that had me stumped but I'm glad it ended up just being that. Something simple.
It's probably not going to work considering they arms are longer on the 2.0. But if having a narrow track width in the rear is your thing then go for it. 🙄
I would love to have as many RC cars as you, but with an E Revo I would be happy haha I love your vids, nice work Kev, hope your Channel keeps growing :D
Have you done the shock mod to keep from popping rod and shock ends? Taco a shock shaft bump stop or fuel line tube piece and put it on the shaft inside the shock. It will keep the shock from coming out as far in crashes and save you rod end issues
Granted my revo is a 1/16 I am disappointed in its durability as far as shafts a arms and servos are concerned.i hoped it was just being scaled down made it susceptible to damage but it seems it's the design .So upgrades are inevitable I guess.but love your video as always your the king of bash
It was the transmitter?! WOW that makes no sense Kev. Glad it's fixed but I don't understand. I wonder if it was a TQI model memory fault or something that got cleared when binding to another transmitter.
Hi Kev. First of all I would like to say that I have been following your channel for some time. This is only to say: keep it up. Thumbs up. I have a question regarding your E-Revo 2.0. Which tires do you use in your videos on the E-Revo 2.0? Are these better than the originals? (Price / performance) Thank you.
In this video he's driving his e revo 2.0 on Proline Trencher 3.8 tires. Those are a little bit heavier then the stock ones but the balloin harder...so the car flips faster in the air.
Kev you need to make your own rods and then just put erevo rod ends on them. My buddy and I have made some for our bomber and wraith as our links but it would be even easier on a straight rod. Just cut some down to size thread the ends and assemble. Might make a cool how to video as well. We used piano wire for the links on ours and they take a beating. Never replaced one link just had to swap out a couple rod ends. Hope this I helps
Whats was the problem Kev i also have an E Revo that is having that same exact problem throttle comes and goes then after 5 mins car is dies not steering and throttle
Hi Kev loving the videos like usual but could u possibly do some videos for beginners like a 1/16 scale slash for £215 from wheel spin models vs a cheap £100 RC from somewhere like u did with the x-maxx.
Ecx fan Slash the video idea was to be that it used the slash because it is a very popular RC. And it would vs a RC truck like the last one he used in the video vs the x-maxx to make it fair and also do all the same tests👍
Kev what gear set up do you have in your revo 2.0 very curious i have 46t spur 20t pinion but didnt get anymore top speed out of it very strange wondering why i changed all the programming in my tqi app but havnt tried unlocking the esc yet ???
I busted the same part but on the front tires twice already. I don't jump it or anything its just a weak part. I also am having problems with my servo making a grinding noise when I turn left. I don't know how to center the servos. I know posting a video how is asking a lot but that would be awesome :)
btw I just run only one savox servo in my e revo 2.0 and I get plenty of torque and just one savox doesnt draw too much power either, maybe worth a try?
As far as the weak points on the backend just get yourself some allthread rods the size thread that fits the ends sleeve the all thread after cut to length with a brass tube and you have yourself bullet proof rods that's way stronger
Awesome bash spots over there. Don't do the Aluminum the aluminum don't bend they snap. Have to put limiter straps on the suspension. That'll stop the shafts from popping out also I think someone is making hardened diff cups that are longer than the stock one. Have to look around & if I come across anything I'll post it on one of your videos. ✌️😁
Hey Kev. As far as giveaways buddy you know everyone wants something for nothing. But to make it fair you can use the random comments generater or the wheel like other channels do. That way there is no unfairness. It's totally random. Just a thought. Awesome channel regardless love the extreme bashing you do. Definitely gives everyone watching an idea on the durability of Traxxas. The links on the Erevo 2.0 do suck. I'd see if the old links for the Summit will work. I have an 8 yr. old Summit that I basically converted to an Erevo & the links are the original ones & haven't even stretched a rod end. It seems like Traxxas changed their plastics to make them more flexible but with some parts it's not a good idea
A couple qeustions did your Xmaxx have diffs full of fluid or was it low from the factory, and another thing if you decide to junk the esc that was in the xmaxx I'd take it I'll pay shipping I have a Xmaxx with the Traxxas mxl6 and a awesome Weller soldier station and a Dremel soldier torch ,let me know man, can't wait too see the monster truck when finished so badd butt my son can't wait too
Kevin Talbot awesome thanks for the input and if you do decide to trash the hobbywing let me know please I'll pay shipping and try to fix it for my Xmaxx
I will say this that erevo looks dam good with them 3.8 trenchers
I agree Trenchers are awesome. I can't wait to get some trenchers to put on my X Maxx!
That E-Revo is one of those rc cars that just seems to glow with some sort of personality with the way everything moves on it.
I love that you guys just go cruising through the woods with your RC cars I wish I had time to do that
Make time for yourself its important to do so you cant do job n everyone else all the time
You got me into this amazing hobby (but a little bit expensive)
The Wall 2000 OG-Times He actually got me into the hobby as well. The first video I ever watched about RCs actually. Nice that E-Revo does look like a lot of fun. I may have to get one of those next.
Yay, it was the TX just like I said =) glad you fixed it Kevin.
7:32 that kids face... he is just like "Oh ok, yeah sure"
Then he said... I'm outta here
I haven't had any issues with the rod ends or the axle popping out since I put 90mm HR limiting straps on the rear. Lighter tires also helps.

They need to come out with some bullet proof rods

Do more mini e revo PLEASE!
Love ur Channel
I'm so glad you got it sorted. I wanted so badly to tell you try a different transmitter on your last video but you were saying it worked on all your other RC's so that had me stumped but I'm glad it ended up just being that. Something simple.
Did you check your steering linkage to make sure the servos are not fighting each other? Or maybe loosen the servo saver a little?
these vids are getting better and better
RPM 80562 True Track kit, has all the bits, eliminates the tie rods!!!! Your videos are the best, bash on!!!
THanks dude, looks epic. Do you know if it fits the 2.0? I think axles are bigger
Kevin Talbot give it a go that’s the only way to find out
Kevin Talbot you might be able to contact somebody at rpm to find out
I asked RPM about this and they wont work with the 2.0. They should have a true track setup coming soon for it though.
It's probably not going to work considering they arms are longer on the 2.0. But if having a narrow track width in the rear is your thing then go for it. 🙄
I cant wait to see that monster truck build and destrying cars!!!!
Traxxas tough 😜😜😜 Haven't seen this RC on Kevs channel for, well years! Nuff said 🤔
I never get tired of that whip intro! 😂😂
Will you ever do put a Legendary Red Custom body on the E-Revo 2.0
Harper GatesFamilyVlogs don’t be surprised if he does
yeh probably dude
@@KevinTalbotTV I am Vietnamese, I like to play rc without conditions. Can you give me a cheap one?
@@LaLa-ih8nl wl toys 12428/144001
I just bought my 1st E-revo today! :)
Next time you go bashing you should bring your slash 4x4
I would love to have as many RC cars as you, but with an E Revo I would be happy haha
I love your vids, nice work Kev, hope your Channel keeps growing :D
Look up Lunsford Revo!
HD Titanium rods!
Awesome video kev
I would like to see your take on the Arrma Outcast and the Tekno MT410 vs the E-Revo
Have you done the shock mod to keep from popping rod and shock ends? Taco a shock shaft bump stop or fuel line tube piece and put it on the shaft inside the shock. It will keep the shock from coming out as far in crashes and save you rod end issues
I told you I thought that’s what it was,who knew really it’s a tough one to solve
liked on the mid-air collision. Quality content.
I’m surprised you broke the e revo 2.0 4 times that’s crazy
Granted my revo is a 1/16 I am disappointed in its durability as far as shafts a arms and servos are concerned.i hoped it was just being scaled down made it susceptible to damage but it seems it's the design .So upgrades are inevitable I guess.but love your video as always your the king of bash
The Arrma granite 3s blx would be a great $300 option
That Spot in the Woods is Epic!! Wish I were Bashing Around With You Their Mate.
Always a Pleasure, TTYL
This video clearly shows me how fragile the E-revo is. I like it but i think im going to get a Arrma Kraton. Nice vid.👍
It was the transmitter?! WOW that makes no sense Kev. Glad it's fixed but I don't understand. I wonder if it was a TQI model memory fault or something that got cleared when binding to another transmitter.
I use a savox in my axial monster truck and it works great. No bec. It came out of a used arrma talion and it didnt have a bec there either.
How are u gonna get the wheels in the monster truck? They're huge!!
rpm use to make rod ends im not sure if they still do or not i seen them way back in the day when i got the original revo 2.5
Do you prefer the tx90 connectors better then the traxxas ones
What do you think of the Redcat Racing rampage r5?
Stampede_4x4 looks like its going to be a xmaxx killer.
ตรงที่มันเบี้ยวแล้วซ่อมให้ดู?จากเหล็กกล้าเป็นเหล็กทำสปริง?
wheres the shocks on the rear end of ur revoe
I’ve got the aluminium links on my revo 1.0 they hold up well , the money I’ve poured into that Rc I could of bought 2 more arrma’s
Hi Kev, What is the best car to start?
Hi Kev. First of all I would like to say that I have been following your channel for some time. This is only to say: keep it up. Thumbs up. I have a question regarding your E-Revo 2.0. I like how you do these massive bashing expeditions
King a Bash, King a Break😎
Enjoying your videos! Just got a erevo!
Kevin, what wheels and tires do you have on your E-Revo2.0? I like those more than the Trenchers I have on my Brushless Edition!
Hi Kevin. I just bought the ERevo 2.0 and also have ZD racing 9104 would love to join u guys some time when this pandemic is over?
RC 4k content!!! yay
What was that gray body truck that you were both doing backflips
i just got mines yesterday. i had a dream about you telling me. get erevo 2.0 vxl blue white and orange, and then i did.
Kevin does the plastic on the link brake?
If so try the traxxas t maxx ones i have a t maxx converted to a emaxx and its a complete beast
I’m from Cambodia 🇰🇭 I like all your VDO. In Cambodia have group RC too❤️🇰🇭🇰🇭
On your RC cars, do you like your wheels looking clean or really dirty with a lot of mud or wet sand. Me personally I like it looking dirty.
Clean for me :)
Clean for me too
Kev i love ur vids man got a slash 4x4 of my own one question when’s more monster truck vids coming i love watching u work on it
Glad I could help

What are the tire's namn on the e-revo 2.0? Like to have the same on my e-revo to... thanks, Daniel..

have you changed the gears in the e revo? i replaced mine and i had to remove the plastic piece that holds the screw was this the rite way to do it.
What glue do you use for your tires
What camera do you put on your car because my go pro doesn't stay on with the sticky mount
rpm true trac eliminates the rear links that come disconnected, for now put a washer over the inside link so it cant come disconnected.
As far as the weak points on the backend just get yourself some allthread rods the size thread that fits the ends sleeve the all thread after cut to length with a brass tube and you have yourself bullet proof rods that's way stronger

Hey kev, will you be making your e revo 8s?
I think you should really try the savox servos if the RJX ones don´t work
too power hungry especially 2!
Well I like your videos usually try to watch it is they come out nice job keep it up
Still waiting for a nitro video kev
S a m e
Should I get a e revo 2.0 or make a monster slash 4x4. Which would be more durable
Xmaxx!
Monster slash
Any car like this that is not Traxxas or redact 🙄🙄 go with the losi short course which is arround 30$ more at my hobby shop but is way stonger
The Rc Maniac moster slash. Lots of fun. Just upgrade the drive shafts and your good.
why is it every time he hits a jump it kinda has a grinding noice
hey kev, what wheels are on the e revo 2.0?
might try some 1/8 scale ball joints if they fit
Kev i love your videos keep up the great work
+1 like from me:) btw what is steves trick to not ruining the diffs on the savage with so big wheels?
he still wrecks diffs!
Awesome bash spots over there. Don't do the Aluminum the aluminum don't bend they snap. Have to put limiter straps on the suspension. Mike Burgess RC I like the shock shaft bump stop inside the shock on the shaft instead of limit straps
When is the monster trucks going to be done
Should I buy it???
What batteries do you have for the e revo 2
Got it fixed awsome
IS that tuning car?
SICK! CANT WAIT FOR MORE VIDS!
Try this car again. Mine I got 6 months ago and those links have gotten a beating. Like to see what's possible nowadays with the 2.0
Hey Kev. As far as giveaways buddy you know everyone wants something for nothing. But to make it fair you can use the random comments generater or the wheel like other channels do. Told ya it was the transmitter😁

i topped them up a bit
Kevin Talbot awesome thanks for the input and if you do decide to trash the hobbywing let me know please I'll pay shipping and try to fix it for my Xmaxx
Lundford makes Titanium Linkages!
The tires are cranck 😎😎😎
You need Cirrus CS704 mg servos. loads of power, and does not drain the battery. I run one I my e Maxx.
So I see u saw my suggestion on the radio
Doing great Kev. How you doing ?🤷♂️
Love the xmaxx
