The topless Jeep is probably lighter even though it has aluminum axles. The top is alot of weight plus the extra rubber on the ground....same theory with drag racing, they use slicks(more rubber on the ground).

Just got some new foams, vented rims and put stock tires back on the front. Round two coming soon.
Need some bigger wider tires and some metal rims. Whenever possible you want the weight you add to be un sprung weight so your suspension still has full travel. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the ride

@@SteadySpin so far the only ones I have seen that I like are on ebay under 2.9inch metal bead lock rims. I have not used them so not sure on quality.

Idk what y'all are running but I've have good success with powerhobby servos and batteries. Powerhobby 1512 monster servo is insane. 729 brushless servo for 1/10 & 1/8 stuff.

idk its weight on the back wheels may be more but i could be wrong about that too. And ya your tires look mega soft, do you have 2 or 3 stage foams? and ya less contact with the flat pavement with nothing for the knobs too grab or flex o to with that cut tred and softness probably doesnt help. Sadly. But that car does look pretty sick.. tires are 40 percent of the cars performance.
I got proline hyrax in predator compound with 2 stage proline foams on my 1/10 scale sealed onto some aluminum wheels and its reallllyyy improved the climbing and traction. I also got all the metal parts you got upgraded too lmao. Even the hobbywing motor i see in there and mip driveshafts and some aluminum axels ect. But ya i would say for shure if they have them in that bigger rc car size proline hyrax predators are amazing tires on some good aluminum wheels. Idk if you want brass bead locks on the aluminum or just full aluminum wheels because you dont want it to be too heavy but it would lower the cg even more.

How did you direct wire your stock servo?
Seth did it to his. But I guess he just broke off the power wires and fitted a direct power connector
I would have dug it on dirt. And damn both were leaving tire marks on the pavement.

@@SteadySpin Also - age of battery pack may have had some impact. Not sure if they are easily swappable or not on those. If so flopping from one to another would be another factor to test against. A newer battery might give a tiny edge too.
Next time you should chase Oscar around with the trucks.
