- Yes, I know nobody asked for these RC videos. I think I got it all out of my system for the time being. Today, we attempt to jump a mountain bike and RC car over a tabletop at the same time. It turns out that this isn't nearly as easy as sending the car or bike alone, as they actually travel at different speeds to clear the same jump. After some technical problems and a steep learning curve, we finally figure out that a bigger battery makes it much easier to time.

If you're interested in the Maxx, just go to your local hobby shop and they will probably have it. You'll also need a charger, battery, and probably some tools. This thing is an absolute beast! It might need a little polishing after landing upside down about 300 times.

Man, I don't ride mtb, I do bmx, but I swear every time I click one of your videos I end up watching 10, theres such a casual and cool tone to the channel, but somehow all the camera angles, audio, everything, feels so professional and it's nice to see a channel that makes it look so easy while also being so cool.

I drive rc cars for a hobby and when it starts to dive down he needs to floor it and pitch up hit breaks or reverse. One problem I see he holds the breaks on Landing and that causes a lot of the crashes. (Edit) spelling/grammar I instead Of im

if you know hobby grade RC's properly you know traxxas cars are usally on the weaker side compared to other big brands, also they will at a moments notice sue you and destroy your company if you even look at using any of thier ideas they stole from someone else

for bike hacks: you can make yourself a chain guide by putting a piece of hose around a plastic handlebar mount for a bike light or one of that shiny reflective thing, that comes on cheap bikes and then attaching it to the chainstay with zip ties and 3m tape and it works pretty good.

I think the problem with Seth's bike would not have been fixable with a chain guide. He says the chain kept coming off the drive train for no reason, but it looks like it was because of a malfunctioning rear derailleur.

I used to be SUPER into rc cars. Traxxas is one of the best brands in my opinion, they are near indestructible and super fun to play around with. Great video
Thicker Oil in the shocks and stiffer valving in the shock would make it more stable when landing.
lowering might also be good for stability.

Growing up in the 80's this was pretty much standard practice for me and my friends. Freestyle bmx and rc cars. Bow and arrows too. Browning or Bear archery: send this guy some compound bows and targets man!

Haven’t touched a bike in quite a while. Had a real bad injury about a month ago. Came off of a massive jump, instantly my front tire completely flew off. I went head over heels, got 15 stitches in my face, had internal bleeding, and tore both my thighs open, and dislocated my right shoulder. Hoping to get back when I feel ready. I’m no quitter though.

When they say trails are for everyone, they mean hikers and bikers. Rules for RC have never been established, at least not for my local trails. I've seen RCs several times, both on the single track and pump track. It does not happen often enough to where it's a problem. But yah, if the activity increases, it's a problem. Way to random and out of control for anyone to hike or bike within a LARGE and unexpectedly changing perimeter. Seth, thanks for starting a discussion. I for one would like to see more people get outdoors, so I'd love there to be some guidelines on both sides of the equation where RC and other trails users can coexist. I'm just not aware of any rules they should be following nor any that I, as a biker, should observe if I see RC operators in my area. Who has right of way? What should we call out? etc.
i think if it is a multi use trail then rRC can go on it. but if it is solely made for biking i think they would disrupt biker's attention

Electric bikes are not allowed on most trails where bikes are allowed, in Norway
I would not mind RC cars on trails, however i would like to have some warning sign at the Trail entrance. Maybe a Orange Flag or something which is well visible. RC cars will probably travel the trail multiple times or focus on a section, so if i come blasting down a Hill i would like to know beforehand that a rc car might be shooting round the corner. As long as we cooperate, we can all have fun on the trails i think!

Looks like the bigger battery they installed afterwards helped to rebalance it.
not entirely true, you can control a brushless rc car mid air using throttle and brakes, a good driver can land it perfectly on wheels no matter how it takes of. In this video the driver didnt see the car as hes landing so he couldnt adjust accordingly. also there was something wrong with the shocks...
