Hi Everyone! Today I have a really fun tag video for you! It's the My Fragrance Addiction Tag which was created by @EmysWorldofFragrance! Ughh i hate it when I lose my fragrances to evaporation. Good to know about that fragrance bottle.
And I totally agree with your point about when to return products! I used to work in retail and the thought about waste really breaks my heart.

Thanks, Yve! Yes, that was another life. Lol! I graduated from culinary school at 20 then worked as an event planner for a bit before going back to school for psychology at 24.
Great video, Tara. I've only returned 3 fragrances and normally felt guilty about doing that...except for once. I was at Nordstrom one day chatting with the Tom Ford sales assistant and was just casually telling her how I purchased Venetian Bergamot like 6 months prior and didn't really like it and she said "oh, just bring it back and we'll give you something else!" That's why Nordstrom will always be my favorite store!
Well that's awesome! Yes, Nordstrom is known to have really great customer service!

Great video, Tara! What emobodies my current taste is quieter scents, I guess. A couple of examples would be Penhaligon's Iris Prima and Chanel Paris-Venise

This is my first time watching your videos, and I gasped out loud when you mentioned wearing Nirvana Amethyst to bed. 🥰 I've never been that into fragrance, until very recently, so I only owned a few scents I loved -- and thats one of them. Never heard a TH-camr mention it!

Jordan almonds. Makes me think of the scene in Bridesmaids when they all have food poisoning and she’s sweating profusely trying to play it off and eats the Jordan almond in the bridal salon 😂😂

For me right now I’d say SDV ... whether woody, spicy, smoky or sweet vanilla is one of (if not) my absolute favorite notes.

I do the diaphragm area, too! I was watching that new Dior documentary on François Demachy, and a women who owns one of the French jasmine farms contracted by Dior told a story about her grandmother putting jasmine flowers in her corset while dressing. Maybe spraying the diaphragm area with perfume is a modern (corset-free) version of that! How chic and French of us! 😉 💕

Hmmm.. I am definitely an oversprayer. I noticed that when you said three in the arm I was smiling... because I no longer feel alone in my spraying habits.

Shocking how similar our wearing routines are. As for evaporation, it took 80% of the juice out of my SJP Stash bottle. 🤣 Literally felt like they packed it with propellant since the atomizer was always cold. No biggie. It's only alcohol that goes and what's left is a super potent syrup. 🧇 Couldn't agree more with the waste of materials bit Tara! 🌳

Fragrance that best embodies my current taste? Prada Amber Pour Homme. Resinous amber fragrance, but somehow also a soapy barbershop fragrance, while being a soft musky fragrance, all at once.

I haven’t tried spraying behind my knees and on my shoulders. I will need to try that. I’m surprised you didn’t spray behind your ears and neck area.
LOL! Yeah, I'm a bit weird. My skin on my neck breaks out easily so I avoid that area.

A fragrance that best embodies my current tastes is so hard because I feel like they are all over the place right now. I think I'll have to go with Prada Luna Rossa Black.

Interesting, I like to know what motivates people. So you mentioned your makeup/foundation, which prompts me to ask: what is your lipstick? I always love your lipstick and think that I need that color. You seem to wear a cool pink-mauve often.
Thanks! Yes, this is my favorite color of lipstick. It's Too Faced Queen B. It's a liquid lipstick so I usually only wear it one or two days a week so it doesn't dry out my lips, but it's lovely.
Try a Berger Lamp in the house ... they are fabulous, especially if you like fragrance. So few people know about them, I own 4 at this point... check them out! I buy them as gifts as they’re so unique!
I’m almost afraid to ask... why don’t you like samples from Luckyscent? I just put in a order yesterday that was $$$ due to shipping and taxes to 🇨🇦

Thanks! I'll look into those lamps. Never heard of them before! I don't like the samples from Luckyscent because they are tiny dabbers. I only get one full wear usually (maybe 2) and I feel like dabbers don't give an accurate representation of how the fragrance will perform if sprayed. I still order from them if I can't find samples of what I want elsewhere, but they are the last resort for me when it comes to samples.
I think Roses Berberanza suits me better right now 🌹❤️

I figured we shared the similar taste in perfume because after I watched your review on Angles’ Share I went to the shop the next day and got it! I also got Roses on Ice as well because layering them together on me is divine.
As you mentioned Iris in this vdo, I wonder if you tried Atelier des ors Iris Fauve and if you like it. I’m interested to get it but it will be a blind buy. Thx!
Ah, man! I had a sample of roses on ice but never tried layering it. That is such a good idea! I did like that one, but i used up all the sample. I haven't tried Iris Fauve yet. It's been on my "to test' list in fragrantica for some time now. Hopefully I will try it sometime this year! Thanks!

Sephora doesn’t give sample decants any longer. I shop at the largest one in the US apparently, in NYC. They don’t even have tester strips most of the time, just tissues in tissue boxes. And so many perfume bottles on display are empty..it’s terrible.

Lol wooow I thought I was the only one that loves all things scented except my lotion. I have to remind ppl that I don’t particularly like perfume sets because they’re often watery and I prefer denser lotions that are in scented so they don’t “compete” with my perfume.

What makes perfume evaporate??! I had a decant of a perfume and it completely evaporated and I didn’t get to use it. It was expensive too🤔
It happens when the bottle isn't fully sealed. The bulb atomizer are notorious for this, but decants are bad too if they aren't sealed with teflon tape. Such a bummer then that happens.
This comment has nothing to do with this video (I love this video by the way) but I have to let you know... I layered Kilian’s Angel Share and Solinotes Tonka, and The first thing I said was, Tara will love this (weird I know). Please give it a try and let me know your thoughts.
