Another great video. I really love a lot of the retro game box art. A lot of it looks so unique and detailed. I just want to buy some of the games because the art looks cool.😄
2:56 From every vid I've seen of shopping in Asian country game stores, any US import item like those Game Boy games are very expensive, but that's how it goes when it comes to paying for imports.
I've had a pretty good experience with NA imports in Japan. Specifically with software for consoles like PS3, 360, PS1, Xbox One, Switch and PS4. In the recent Ojamakan Kobe video, I show a NA copy of Sunset Overdrive priced at ¥550. Some places will jack up the prices, however. Stay frosty out there, cheers!
Generally speaking yes, online will have lower prices than stores. But every now and then you will find a crazy good deal in stores. Moreover, some of the games in the Book OFF showcases are also listed on Yahoo at the same price points. Cheers!
@@RetroReWire That's wild. My guess is that there would be small stores located in the middle of nowhere with great finds that haven't had prices updated in a while. There are some things that I'd like to find but online searching is difficult, even things that I would think are more common like the PSP cradle remote PSP-S350. I always figured that if I were in Japan, I would stumble across these items much easier. Do you ever find older toys and promo items for sale?
Some rural franchise stores will sometimes have equal or higher prices than Akiba! Old mom and pop toy shops sometimes have some retro gaming treasure at decent deals. I would love the PSP cradle setup. I can't recall the last time I've seen it in stores. It's been a long while for sure. I don't pay much attention to older toy collectibles, and I rarely see old promo items for sale.
Nice to see the videos back and regular jj hyping me up for another “work” trip to Japan !!!
The are the best kind of trips! haha, cheers!
i had that midnight black, 10k is a good price i sold mine for like $120 years ago
It's a nice looking machine. The price was also reasonable in today's day and age.

My main PS2 is a SCPH-10000. That bad boy loads everything. My favorite PS2s, however, are the SCPH-90000 slims. Love those things!
@@RetroReWire 10000 dam is that the very 1st model japan?
@ Yep! I got it equipped with the vertical stand too.
Another great video, JJ! Keep up the great work my friend!
Cheers, buddy!
Enjoying your videos again. I visited Osaka in September last year, and your recent Surugaya visit there brought back some memories. Keep it up!
Osaka is a good time. I'll be exploring more local neighborhoods in the coming days. Cheers!

They had twin famicom so it was a good shop overall!
I’ll show more Twin Famicom hardware very soon, cheers!
@@RetroReWire Happy to hear it! :) Been trying to get my hands on that or disk system for a while!
I might pay this shop a visit in a couple of months, just to see what they have for sale on MSX. 👍
I’d say it’s worth a visit given that there are many game and hobby shops in the same building. Cheers!
Back at it in Kobe
I'll be returning to Kobe and the Hyogo Prefecture at large. Good times ahead!
In general, do you see that game prices in physical stores are cheaper than online auctions like Yahoo or similar sites?

Why did TH-cam hid this away from me for 2 hours
Probably because you are a adult and shouldn't watch kids content. Time to grow up fool.
Am I first?
