In early 2017, when the Switch released, Amazon sold Twilight Princess HD for 20$… i bought 3 of them for 60$, kept them sealed. Each one of them is now at around 200$ on eBay.
It's a good idea that just takes a long time to mature into value. They are buying stuff when no one wants it- knowing that people will want them in 10 or 15 years. My brother started doing this with toys. He buys at Ollie's and Target 70% off Clearance. Hold them for 3 years and then sell them for 3x what you paid.
I've seen this same video 4 or 5 times now on other channels. They have a LOT less vintage stuff and a ton more new stuff. It won't be long until they are completely out of everything retro and basically become Best Buy without brick and mortar. That won't end well for a physical video game seller in a digital world. Maybe they realize it and is why I think this is the first time I've heard them give out the website? Liquidating?
In my opinion, old video games won’t be worth as much as the newer ones today. Everything is digital today and less than 15% of sales are physical sales. There’s millions of copies of old games lying around. Can’t say the same for new games pretty soon. The investment is in this new era of gaming. I can be wrong though
As a collector in any industry, you need to figure out how to make ur hobby profitable, to be able to collect more and keep collecting. Its what smart people do.

Lotta people in this comment section either showing they didnt watch the video, didnt listen to his explanations, or are so stuck in the the thought process that things should be cheap that they want to cry about something without understanding it.
Lol I don't want to watch 30 mins of this guy's life I just want to buy the games
In early 2017, when the Switch released, Amazon sold Twilight Princess HD for 20$… i bought 3 of them for 60$, kept them sealed. Each one of them is now at around 200$ on eBay.
Definitely going to check out their site. Thanks for this video. It was awesome!
Probably not worth your time. Everything is marked at least $5 above market value.
@@Lithium_82 Yea i agree alot of newer stuff is over priced... i look in the xbox/xbox series x only and some games are way more then I though...
Video games are 100% an asset in business terms. Yes, they’re depreciating assets (potentially) but assets all the same on a balance sheet
I want the game guides above all else.
Now I know where I'm going for the zombie apocalypse lol
I love these business insider series. So good
Why dont you ever focus on nes snes and n64. Its always xbox 360 and newer. Would have loved to see some sealed older product
I wish I'll meet this guy and start buying games in his warehouse.
Man in this business. You have to put your all in it
For a second I thought your collection had advanced beyond the realm of reality 😂
Looks like a library for gamers.
Same warehouse has been shot by almost every big gaming or resale channel
yea loll
And you clicked on one to comment this lol
What company is the warehouse?
Search dusty game on google
@@Techpriest dusty games
just found your channel, incredible content man
Seeing a copy of ET was mind blowing enough lmao. Most don’t know the story behind that game
I love this video. I had no clue about this site. What a find.
google dusty game.
In my opinion, old video games won’t be worth as much as the newer ones today. Everything is digital today and less than 15% of sales are physical sales. There’s millions of copies of old games lying around. Can’t say the same for new games pretty soon. The investment is in this new era of gaming. I can be wrong though
Hoarding titles and holding them based on market trends = grifter bullshit. Not surprised though
As a collector in any industry, you need to figure out how to make ur hobby profitable, to be able to collect more and keep collecting. Its what smart people do.
What do they do with all the dust is it a clean room
that is crazy to see something like that in this modern video gaming world! 😲
This is a perfect example of why I don't fan boy out or pay a lot for video games this guy is one of many and yet everybody thinks all these video games are rare they're not and neither are the consoles
did he has godzilla ps4 tho ? that game is mythical now selling at crazy price
Its insane to see that many sealed SNES and Genesis games. Thats crazy
I used to buy copy's of Blockbuster videos direct from the shelf as the owner of my local store was a good mate. I had thousands of VHS tapes until I sold my collection.
If you think about it, it's so cool how easy it is to buy games for any console because these sites and businesses do not like the old days. They had to buy the newest ones
I have the same collection (on a tb hd)
seems like a real businessman not typical one. his image is just like. you want rare? you can buy one all you want, but you dont dare to buy one. this is belongs to the warehouse only.
Those H frames look exactly like the ones used by Hechinger Hardware stores.
I have a good question can you actually buy games from them or no because it would be cool if they sell games!
Just google dustygame
Yes google dusty game
I wish this dude had sealed consoles as well. I hate buying used consoles they always seem to have little issues. Like when you switch cd’s on a GameCube but you can’t get the top to latch and close.
nice type of vid, I hope to see more different type of this regarding VIDEO GAMES.
Spoken like a true business man: "our goal is to make games affordable to consumers" "i dont play video games"
is there a link to their website ?
google dusty game
I really look forward to your video’s every Sunday Caleb. Keep it up.
wow dusty games just might be my new place to buy from. Kudos for preserving games history!
