Is that the big Steel Battalion controller in the green box to the left around 8:00? Would've been curious to see the price on that. Spotted Folklore / FolksSoul for PS3 at 22:30. Almost never see the Japanese version of that. Lots of very cool stuff at this store, as expected. Prices seem better than the Osaka Surugaya from a few weeks ago, too. Appreciate these videos as I recently moved back to Europe after a decade in Japan, and can no longer regularly go browsing stores like this myself. Took 40 XL-sized extra sturdy shipping boxes to get my collection shipped over. :)
I didn't get the price of the Steel Battalion controller, but I did rummage that area and some of the controllers were reasonably priced. I often see FolkSoul, and it's usually at the BOOK OFFs out in Gunma and Tochigi. Wow, 40! I hope everything made it intact. How is the retro game hunting in Europe?
@@RetroReWire At least in my part of Europe, there are practically no physical game stores left at all so I'm entirely reliant on online shopping. But game collecting is popular and there are a bunch of online marketplaces and little webshops selling games, including some focused on Japanese imports. I collect both European and Japanese releases. Prices are overall a lot lower than in America. Sometimes I can grab obscure and expensive Japanese games off auctions for cheap simply because there's not that many people looking for that kind of stuff so it flies under the radar. I used to direct import a lot of stuff from Japan, but it's a hassle nowadays because of import fees and tariffs.
Woooow, look at those eye-watering prices. It's just not too long ago that prices for most retro stuff are pretty reasonable. And it's not even in Denden Town in Osaka. Guess that if we really looking for down-to-earth prices we need to head out into less touristy places
I went to that shop in May of 2024! Wasnt much on the second floor then. If you get a chance, there is an amazing Udon shop near there, Otonarisan うどんとお酒 おとなりさん。.
This man never stops keep it going games galore
I got lots more cooking, cheers!
You're grinding these videos out man keep it up!
I got the next one prepped, haha. Cheers!
love the videos!
I got plenty more on the way, stay tuned!
I watch your videos everyday! I’m going to Japan in April so this is very fun for me to see. Thanks!
Nice! Hopefully you can catch the cherry blossom season. I'm looking forward to the spring time myself. Cheers!
Appreciate your videos man
My pleasure! More are on the way!
What was that? 01:14 a Carring case or a Shell? Thank you for sharing your tours❤
So jealous of the Vita and PSP selection and prices you get over there
Great vid man
I'm all about the PSP. I'll try and feature more Sony handhelds in the future. Cheers!
Love all the retro game there in japan
Me too!
22:22 I always forget that you record these and then do a voice over 😭😂

Subscribed! Nice Vids! from Winnipeg Canada😊
Cheers, thanks for the support. How is the retro gaming scene out in Winnipeg?
I found Start Ocean for the PS a couple of weekends ago. Then I forgot I did not have a JNTSC PS yet, lol.
I’ve never seen a mega cd model 2 in a box in my life
Damn! These prices are out of control. 10,000 yens is about 65 US dollars.
Having USD and a tourist visa will help lower the cost, but some hardware and software are soaring high at the moment.
That’s crazy they closed the top floor. It’s cramped already as is previously.
The second floor is all plushies and model kits now. It gets very tight at times.

I usually go out with the italian scalpers in japan to buy up tons of stuff to resell but it's drying up
I'll be visiting smaller cities very soon!

うどんとお酒 おとなりさん。.
I love udon! I hit up a nearby spot at ate some clam chowder out of a bread bowl. It's savory eating, out in Kyoto!
👍👍
I just downloaded all your 2025 vids and I'm going to watch them all on my tonight's flight to Narita 😍😍😍
you ever go joshi shopping?
Hardest working game hunter l🎉🎉🎉
Cheers!
Game Boy Advance cost ~15000 yen
Untested and junk GBAs will be half that price. Online may be another money saving option. Cheers!
