I haven’t gotten hands on with the S20 Ultra, I’ll have to see if I can. From what I’ve heard though, that phone didn’t do as well as the S21, lots of little things that people didn’t like, and Samsung fixed nearly all of them in the S21 Ultra.
After I bought the s20 ultra, I said I'll never buy another Samsung phone again. Samsung might as well just walked up to me and took my $1400. My wife bought me an S21 Ultra a week ago, for $1100 and I love this phone.
I own one and oh boy I agree with the camera thing. It's so freaking inconsistent! Now coming from a country where nobody uses iMessage I find this north american situation with iMessage soooo weird. It clearly gets in the way with communicating to different people and people still aren't switching.
You know, I rarely comment on videos but after you used the phrase "reliable to communicate with friends and family" for the 5th time I couldn't resist. What you obviously meant to say is "all my friends and family are iPhone users who can install all the apps on the app store, but can't install another text messaging app because it isn't iMessage". You keep saying that the phone is not reliable to use as a device for communication and that Samsung put games and features first and communication second when clearly that is wrong. The fact that Samsung were actually the ones who pushed Google to quickly invest time and effort into making RCS an actual thing, which is iMessage on the Android side basically, proves my point even more. You could say that switching to any phone that isn't an iPhone is a device that is not reliable to communicate with your friends and family, because they all don't have iMessage LOL. Don't get me wrong I'm not some wild Samsung fanboy coming for you just because you said you wouldn't switch. But this green bubble blue bubble shit needs to end already its 2022 like for real. My point is, you're telling people that the phone isn't reliable to communicate and is not doing its job well and that is far from the truth. You also say that your watch is useless like that is a con that only Samsung has. Do iPhones let you use android smart watches any better? You list all your apple devices and complain that they wont work and communicate between each other, like, did you expect anything different? Apple is the definition of a closed system and wont let you use any device that isn't made by them the way you expect Samsung to, which they actually do to some extent. They all have their own "ecosystems" and promote buying all of their devices to work seamlessly together, which I guess is shocking. The only reason you think that way is because you don't want to be the guy that isn't using iMessage. At least be honest if you want your reviews to be taken seriously.
Great content. This is what happens when Tim Cook sucks you in to there ecosystem. If your in the apple ecosystem that means you invested at least 5 to 6 grand into it. So I wouldn't switch either. But for me who can't afford a 6 grand ecosystem. Samsung blows Iphone out of the water in making your phone actually yours. With unlimited creativity. With the Iphone apple control's what you can do with there phone you bought.
Thanks for your review. S21 Ultra is a terrific smartphone but battery performance is an issue. I own the Exynos chipset. Not a gamer, just everyday user.
This is a choice the fact that iPhone users feel they can't communicate with Samsung users when they have imessage. The weird fact is that most of them have WhatsApp installed in their phone, but they will specifically have a certain attitude toward any Samsung user. Why is it impossible to chat via WhatsApp? Here we can understand that Apple has not only made their ecosystem so cool and catchy, but it has also affected iPhone users' attitude toward other ecosystem's users. It's almost like a brain wash. But if I got a smart phone and you got one too, there can't be barriers to communication. But for sure there will be barriers to entertainment.
The only comment I'm going to make is about you comparing it to an iPhone 12 mini. My girlfriend and her son got the iPhone 12 mini and I got the S21 ultra Plus. She has to charge her phone three or four times a day. My phone lasts until 10:00 at night and I get 8 to 9 hours of screen on time using map watching TH-cam videos and using the camera. I don't know what you're talking about
At first it was a bit challenging because after a decade using iPhone, using a samsung was totally different; but, got some helped looked at some videos and I am loving my switch from iPhone to samsung. Love the features , I am enjoying myself taking pictures, glad I switched 👏👍despite that i am the only one in my house with samsung, (my husband & daughter uses iPhone) and my other families also use iPhone.
Similar story here. Made the switch to the Google Pixel 3XL two years ago, and I loved it. Just upgraded to the S21 Ultra and omg! What a device! Super happy on Android thus far...

Good, I was about to ask that last thing. Would you use this phone as your daily if it has iMessage support and great you answered. It is really difficult to come out of the apple ecosystem once you're in. You need to have a firm answer to come out and to convince yourself. Sailing in the same boat now. Sold my Apple Watch so that I can decide easily but now feeling bad for selling it :P.
I mean, just reviewing the S21 ultra was fine. Why turn it into an "I don't know if I'm going to switch to Android" video if he REALLY cannot give up iMessage? smh
Android fans just don’t understand it, Apple is superior in every way, your phones don’t even get updated unless 3 different entities say it’s ok, and the only way you have to chat is through Facebook, to hell with that.
Should I go for it or should I continue with iPhone 13 Pro Max. Just to let you know, before owning iPhones ( iPhone 6s, 7 , x and 12pro max ) I was a Samsung user for 8 years, 5 years iPhone user. I’ve kinda realised that somehow THE IPHONE doesn’t deserve anymore attention. Samsung is more beautiful and definitely worth Android you can do more. So, should I go back on Samsung ? I think I should right ?
There’s no right or wrong. You may switch and love it, you may switch and hate it. I’m an iPhone user for a while now, and I have a hard time going back to the unpolished world of Android.
I'll tell you if you're the type of person who likes to live your life everyday by the same schedule day-in-and-day-out nothing changes then buy an iPhone but if you like to customize your schedule and lifestyle you know add some excitement then you want to buy an Android phone I guaranteed if you did you literally get the best of both worlds
You need to spend more time with the phone. I just changed from iPhone 12 pro max to samsung s21 ultra . All my family has iPhone. I have been an iPhone user for 10-12 years, samsung s21 has alot of features, not because it doesn't have imessage it's not a good phone. Use whatsapp, you should have given it a try.
I do like Whatsapp and Telegram, but the problem is getting other people to use the apps when they already have several messaging apps. You can lead a horse to water...
Communication concerns, you speak as if the communicarion tools are superior on an iPhone. While the reality is (and you acknowledged this earlier and when mentioning telegram) that it only seems that way because Apple has you and the people you interact with tied into an ecosystem that is designed to alienate you from all others. This is not due to superior capabilities, it is an intentional design choice in order to make leaving the apple ecosystem as unpleasant as possible. I enjoyed your video, but towards the end you seemed to praise features that are anti consumerist.
A company that monopolizes an industry is just unethical, I do agree. I don't agree with the way Apple handles iMessage, but for myself and the people who use iPhones (pretty much everyone I talk to on a regular basis) it works well and reliably. Just like if we all had Android with Google RCS, or just like if we all used Telegram.
iMessage is used mostly in USA and no where else, why do you want to support a closed system application when the purpose of messaging is connecting and accessibility to all. It’s literally the most dumbest concept I have ever seen.

Its inconsistent sadly. We should be getting 8+ hrs SoT with mix use but some people get barely 6 some get 9, etc. Im around 5-6 hrs SoT with light use idk how tf lol.
Haha come on man. All my friends and family have iphones and I have never been left out or couldn't communicate with them in anyway. It's extremely reliable. Like that's dumb to say that it's not reliable. The only thing that has ever been annoying is that the video quality from sms to sma is trash. Other than that it's been fine.
Not by itself, but you can if you router it through an iMac, so that's kinda pointless because then you already have an apple device. If you know of another way, I'd love to know
iMessage?? Really? No wonder you have this amount of subscribers. You free cheapo! Go sleep with your iPhone if you are not sincere about a good phone review.
Inclusion is equal to being reliable? Because my friends and family jumped off the bridge I needed to comunnicate with them so I jumped as well. Hehe he
Connectivity and audio quality are essential to a phone. iPhones are superior in these qualities, and I'm typing this on my S21 Ultra. It's feature packed but annoyingly glitchy, and removing the option for a memory card is very disappointing Samsung, way overpriced at 1440€.
Which raises another point; it was noted between reviewers that there were odd inconsistencies in performance tests when compared between the same S21 Ultra models, especially those with Exynos (Mr. WhosTheBoss, Super Saf, et al). One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the significant drop in image quality (blurring) when using the options for camera lens stabilization, like 15% loss of sharpness in both still and video. Can't shut off mics to record video silently, can't use the audio player while recording video, and sometimes the audio player abruptly stops. (¿toilet break!) 🤷🏾♂️
''you gotta try it, it's highly premium'' lol, well i sure tried it (and i'm keeping my s21 ultra) but the back is COMPLETE GARBAGE !!! it DOES NOT feel premium in any way !!!

Are you talking about a different phone here sorry?... The back of the S21 Ultra is frosted matte glass?.. It is a tactile joy to use and quite grippy. I appreciate that constructing a phone out of new and innovative materials and incorporating a fresh design ethic is beyond the comprehension of your average iPhone user though.

I totally agree with you. I think iMessage is completely overrated and I wish people could use alternative apps.
What would you chose today guys, s21 ultra or s22+ ? Both in same price in my country and both with exynos
21 Ultra. Hands down. Keeps getting better, I love mine so much!
Kind of irrelevant now with the advent of the s23 Ultra, but s21 Ultra for sure
Agreed
@Alex Vassios that was a rally old question :) currently I use s23 ultra sinc3 week 😀
Sweet! How are you liking it? I’ve been eyeballing it…
Great content.
With Samsung you’re now owned by them, google, and your phone carrier who decides when you get updates and what features they’ll let you use
@@b.c.7662 true. But at least I have creativity to make the phone the way I want it. Not what apple will alow you to have.
How to set caller photo in full screen s21ultra
Explains why all my friends with iPhones seem to be stuck in 90's. The only ones who text me instead of using whatsapp. :D
Thanks for your review. S21 Ultra is a terrific smartphone but battery performance is an issue. I own the Exynos chipset. Not a gamer, just everyday user.
Me too having exynos version. Many of the reviewers were boasting battery life. In some battery tests it faired better than 12 pro Max 🙄
This is the best battery life that I have seen and I have the Qualcomm version.
@@evolve777 may be then it's an issue with Exynos. I hardly get 3 hours of SOT.
Battery life has been fine for me. Takes me through the day and I'm left with about 28% at the end of the day
@@arnold8009a I did a reset and started using it. It gives me 5.5 hrs of SOT
This phone is no way close to an iPhone how dare you. It's better!
🤦🏾♂️😂😂🤣🤣🤣
iPhone still can't multi-task
WhatsApp is owned by Facebook, enough said.
I don't know what you're talking about
I made the comparison because it’s easily the worst battery life of a newer iPhone. So every other phone should fall somewhere in between.
You mean people aren't angry that you're a green bubble now in their iMessage conversations? Shocking. (sarcasm people)
It's a great device! There's something to be said for stock Android on a pixel. But boy those Galaxies are sweet.
Ela re alexi!!!
All that tech talk through out the video lets us know you are smart enough to know that certain things are exclusive to apple.
turn off AOD and also turn off "accurate GPS" option. (still accurate enough) -- will get your battery last much longer
AOD doesn't use up a lot of battery. It drains your battery by like 1% every 5 hours.
@@robocoppok641 It's more like 1% every hour.
@@MixyezGuy it's just not because of AOD that it may use 1% every hour, there are other things which use up battery while the phone is not being used and I gave my answer only with respect to AOD which I think alone uses like 1% every 5 hours
@@robocoppok641 I'm only talking about AOD. It consumes 1% per hour.
If you put your phone in flight mode and let AOD be on, you'll be down 24% in a day.
@@MixyezGuy turning flight mode on doesn't mean your phone won't do any processes in the background
I really don't understand this iMessage thing in the US. Everyone here in the UK uses WhatsApp so it's easy to switch between platforms

It is clean 🤌 Phantom black. 🖤
I’ve been there
Amazing! You're ditching a better phone system because all your friends are on Apple. Is this a tech review or friends and family review?
Bingo
He just needed to find a reason to justify staying with Apple lol
lmaoo😆
I’m an iPhone user for a while now, and I have a hard time going back to the unpolished world of Android.
you’ve just given an answer
Answer: throw your iPhone into the mouth of a charging Pitbull. 😛
@@Ericcarter42 thank you
You need to spend more time with the phone.
Samsung got rid of sd card cuz cloud storage is a thing yes u can use offline
For me i alway use s pen everytime i go for short meeting i take everyday note ! Also compatible to any pc is a brezza it just like sidekick for me,
iMessage is used mostly in USA and no where else, why do you want to support a closed system application when the purpose of messaging is connecting and accessibility to all. It’s literally the most dumbest concept I have ever seen.
I do agree. While it doesn't close the system, it just excludes non-users from the in-user features. Just a money game by Apple
Woww i just subscribe to this channel bro
I love s21 ultra so much and i watch all the s21 ultra review and tests cuz i dont afford to buy one. 😪 All the video i watched, this one is really unbiased i like watching this even the big channel are so biased i love iphone 13 pro max its also a great phone. But a lot of channel talking about is that only iphone is great.I think they hate android. So unbiased.
Thanks!
Great review!!
I hate my s21 ultra take away my extended storage.
S22 ultra for me
Same
Ugly though
The standby battery drain is a Samsung thing. It's always been bad. No expandable storage is unacceptable to me
The battery is the one thing that makes me hate this phone but I still love it for all the other features.
@Sam & Colby Shorts I don’t know I get about 6-7 hours I’m a heavy user a lot of videos and music no gaming . It’s not horrible but compared to my 13 pro it’s no contest .
I'm getting 6 plus hours of screen on time so idk buggy unit
Also that's with the max resolution active not the 1080 p
Its inconsistent sadly. We should be getting 8+ hrs SoT with mix use but some people get barely 6 some get 9, etc. Im around 5-6 hrs SoT with light use idk how tf lol.

Do you think it will be better if Android 12 is on the market a little longer?
And then after this video he goes to his iPhone haha
Yep, just a review, not a switch
Haha come on man. All my friends and family have iphones and I have never been left out or couldn't communicate with them in anyway. It's extremely reliable. Like that's dumb to say that it's not reliable. The only thing that has ever been annoying is that the video quality from sms to sma is trash. Other than that it's been fine.
Just told us you will never switch back to android
I can care less a out imessage. If I can do more hell yea
It now can do the imessage! Just sayin.
Not by itself, but you can if you router it through an iMac, so that's kinda pointless because then you already have an apple device. If you know of another way, I'd love to know

Apple 🐏🐏🐏
Blah blah blah fanboy
Connectivity and audio quality are essential to a phone. iPhones are superior in these qualities, and I'm typing this on my S21 Ultra. It's feature packed but annoyingly glitchy, and removing the option for a memory card is very disappointing Samsung, way overpriced at 1440€.
I've had my s21 ultra since it was released from a pre order that I made. I've never seen any glitch on my phone and I use it all day.
I won't buy a Samsung flagship without expandable storage.
''you gotta try it, it's highly premium''
lol, well i sure tried it (and i'm keeping my s21 ultra) but the back is COMPLETE GARBAGE !!!
it DOES NOT feel premium in any way !!!
