    You forgot to add in the cost of attending a convention once a month, advertising costs, etc. The process you describe seems more like the startup costs of a hobby, which, sure, you can make some side money on, but not much if your not doing anything at all to differentiate your product from everyone else’s.

    Good video. On the list of recommended printers, I'd actually recommend the Longer LK5 Pro given the money you'd spend on an Ender 3. You get the textured build plate, 300x300 build volume, and the more recent ones have the duel fan upgrade. I'd highly recommend that over a standard Ender 3.

    I'd recommend getting a prusa mk3s or a mini prusa. Way better quality and you'll be spending almost no time troubleshooting and more time printing, especially if your starting a business. You get what you pay for.

    it is a really good idea, but as the matter of fact, people usually want to pay for high resolution toys and their appearance (which do included painting). What do you want to say 'bout that tho? you havent covered the painting part or just about the quality of a fdm printer's products and so on. There are more factor depend on the marketplace you chose

      The machines are printing very high resolution and very high detail products. If you want to paint your products, then be my guest. But the fact of the matter is, these toys dont need to be painted, and people are selling these.
      I have testimonials as well as people who have been making great money from these toys.

    But then your stuff just looks like all of the other people that print those same files. It feels like we are hitting a 3d printing plateau.

    Do we have to buy the rights to print or sell the made(for example, anime figures, game figures, movie figures, etc.). Thank you 👍

      Most printable designs will indicate what kind of license the file comes with. Public or limited but it should say right at the file info.

    How many of these printers will have the same smooth plastic quality of a real toy? I feel as if most 3d printers on the cheaper end will just produce the same cheap brittle stuff that falls apart the moment you touch it and can't be painted due to the stringy, fragile texture.

    I’d be curious how you go about getting licenses for popular IP’s like Pokémon. Had a bunch of Etsy stores taken down without proper licensing

    • @SelfStarterU
      @SelfStarterU  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It all really depends. Some companies go on a tirade when taking down IP and some dont care. The dragons don't have IP and those are the ones that sell the best. So I suggest just going with those

    Anybody know any manufacturers for stuff like this?

    • @al-oh8fq
      @al-oh8fq 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don't need a manufacturer. you need a character designer. make them design a character then pay for 3d modelling service and that goes into 3d printer. print it and send it to silicone mold maker. he will give you the mold. that's it, pour liquid plastic into mold and you will have a toy. painting it though, is another big story.
