I’ve heard a lot of negative things in regards to Samsung nerfing picture quality in the past on s95b I just don’t know if I could drop that kind of cash for them to come in and nerf the tv. Coming from a LG C7 and CX they both look like they did day one. The vibrant colors on the Samsung are very tempting though!
Lg has the same nerfing issues with Dolby vision. A lot of ppl don’t mention it though. I think both are equal this year. Last year HGIG took 3 months to fix
Considering the 95c might already be nerfed from the factory as before release the panel could originally hit 2k nits and sony is targeting the 2k for the a95l, they might be trying to get the best out of the panel without causing issues to longevity hence why the average cap for the 95c is 1400 to 1500 nits depending on panel lottery. So I think we're good on it being gimped in the future. Sony on the other hand has a heatsink hence why they're targeting the panels full capability.
My s95c actually came with two remotes, a regular one and a solar powered one, I haven’t used the solar powered one yet though I find the regular one easier.
Hey my buddy I've heard that the Sammy S90C is the one to go for if you really want to save some serious money. If you don't care about all the bells and whistles of the S95C hint: one connect box etc.
@@CKidM yeah I'm a budget minded type of person. I don't like to spend more for something that really isn't worth the extra money. If I had fat deep pockets it wouldn't matter to me. But if I can find a way to save a few bucks then that's what I'm going to do.
If you want to Walmount your TV, the S95C TV depth is nearly 3 times as thin as S90C so it will stick out a lot less from the wall and will look much cleaner with a flush wall mount is one reason to pay more for the S95C
Samsung doesn't use Dolby Vision out of pettiness. They had a falling out with Dolby which is why they created HDR10+ and refuse to have DV on their TVs.
Yea by far one of the toughest versus I had to make because I actually like them both for their own reasons. And I see you wit the #BestBuySquad...we out here!
Went with the S95C just a couple weeks ago. I didn't like the idea of no included stand, the space for it isn't overly bright, and I was able to find the 65" model for $2600 USD! That clinched it for me. It's been great so far. Vivid, super sharp, no regrets. G3 is an extremely solid option tho.... I'm not letting go of my trusty LG B7 that this TV replaced anytime soon.
I really hope $2600 was a typo and you meant $1600 because that’s the price I see them at and I wouldn’t buy it for that either. Samsung gimped and broke the tv several times with forced updates and pq eotf tracking is still broken. No heat sink either so burn in is more likely with the new panel type that seems more susceptible to it
@@proggz39 Lol you are not seeing the 65" S95C for that price. It's either 55" or it's the S90C. Nothing wrong with either, but that's how it is. I'm not worried about burn in at all. I don't do the things that would cause that. We'll see how it goes with time.
I still use the remote that came with my old Samsung plasma tv. It is a lot easier to use the the minimalist remote that the newer Samsung TV's provide.
You kind of left it up in the air like most of the reviewers. Which one did you like best? QD-OLED it said to wayyyy more acceptable to burn in. They just updated on RTINGS.
Not really...I like them both...but for color I like the S95C but for overall usage I like the LG G3. But it's up to you guys to figure out which one is right for you...I can't make that decision because I don't know what you like.
Hahaha I know we got to decide. I just want to here if you had to buy one, which would you grab? I have my TV on like 12 hours. This is why I'm leaning towards G3. I don't like what Rtings is saying about BURN-IN for S95C.
What about reliability? I've heard lg is more realiable and the tvs last longer than samsungs , at flagship tv level is reliability even a factor though? Maybe the difference is so small that your better of just looking at which tvs picture and features you like more.
Be advise - the Samsung S95C 2.1 HDMI ports do not give you the full 48Gbps through-put. They have it capped between 38-40Gbps. You can't have a flagship OLED TV with limitations like that..
The only way it's gonna affect you is if you have 4 hdr dolby vision at 144hz. 120hz is fully supported. Why worry about 144hz when the tv doesn't even support it?
@@shueibdahir Its not all about the Hz. Its also about the bit rate, dynamic range and resolution.. Even at 120hz, they have it capped.. Samsung is being cheap. Allow full use of the band-width across all ports. LG does it... What if you are a user that has High PC Gaming in mind?? Flagship TVs at that price point should allow for the entire through-put..
@@rmoore6471 There is not a single device on this planet that uses 48gbps at 4K 120hz 12bit 4:4:4. Nor is there an ounce of unordinary levels of compression happening at that resolution, bit depth, chroma subsampling nor frequency. It is only at 144hz when the bandwidth becomes limited and you'd have to revert to 4:2:2 chroma subsampling and like i said before, the tv isn't capable of 144hz anyway so it doesn't matter
@@shueibdahir I'm running 4k 120 at 12bit RGB with VRr and HDR rght now using a 4090 in triple screen with 3x LG 48 C1s. All three C1s are showing me 120hz in 4k with VRR. I'm pretty sure the through put is high considering how much power the video card is consuming at 600 watts continous.
When we talk bout burn in, this two TV's are proned to damage both panels. But in Samsung, since it using QD-OLED or quantum dot - light emmiting diode, this is much better choice because quantum dot is not proned to burn in. And it will give you the best color contrast and brightness because of quantum dot technology. And one more in terms of gaming. The samung s95c/s90c have the same refresh rate of 144hz, compared to LG G3 with 120hz refresh rate. You can maximize your gaming experience with no lags in samsung. Based on my experience. Because we are using Samsung s95c. Not being a huge fan of samsung but because of what we experience 😊

testing done by rtings shows that color is the same in and out of game mode , its due to the lowered brightness of the tv itself in game mode that colors appear duller than outside game mode :(

Love the video and I had to give you a thumbs up! Appreciate the shout out. Really can’t go wrong with either. I have more fun on the S95C so that’s my choice. Look forward to more of your content!!!
The upscaling of low res content (which is the majority of what you will be watching) will be much better with the G3, all 4 ports are full bandwith HDMI 2.1 versus 2 on the Samsung. 5 year panel warranty. Motion is better, near black handling is better. And the G3 just won the double blind best tv of the year category in Germany. The S95C will win in colour vibrancy in 1% of the content that is actualy mastered to REC 2020. In 99% of the cases color vibrancy is the same between these 2.
Brooooo, I want to get the best picture quality with pc connection, I don't care about lag and black screen (it's a hassle but can be solved in the end), is s95c the best choice?
It will lay flat because of the location of the port. It allows it to be plugged in vertically on the back of the TV instead of directly on the back where the plug would stick out like normal TV’s
I’ve narrowed it down to these 2 tvs for when I buy in the spring, and this was very helpful! They truly go blow for blow in so many categories, and I think it’s ultimately going to come down to price 😅

I hope you can help me out. If I put the g3 on the wall do I really have to push all the way to the wall? Or is it safe to leave it 1 inch inch off of the wall ? I wish I could put some LED in the back. Great review and thank you. Keep up with the good job. 👏🏻
Yes you should have enough of a gap to put an LED strip back there.
@@CKidM thanks. I thought it would only be safe if I pushed all the way to the wall.
Picked up a 48” LG C2 … simply amazed by it!
I love the C2...still own that one myself.
Best buy has the best warranty deals hand down. I'm so glad they help me replace my Hisense. CKid I'm glad u love helping out anyone and everyone. Your work will (NOT) go unnoticed.
Both beautiful tvs. Makes those monitors look like garbage. Once u go oled , u don’t go back. Also, glossy is superior to Matt. Never get Matt
The G3 only saves you money if you plan to wall mount.
The S90C saves you money if you plan to stand it.
That's a fair concern. But so far it's a solid TV...the colors are top notch.
Samsung usually has lower quality builds from curved screens to plastic feel - almost guaranteed they will firmware nerf Tv
You do know you can buy a normal remote for the s95c and it will work. I hated my remote on my s95b. So I bought a normal remote and it works great
My s95c actually came with two remotes, a regular one and a solar powered one, I haven’t used the solar powered one yet though I find the regular one easier.
@@CosyJaney me to. I only use the normal one
Hey my buddy I've heard that the Sammy S90C is the one to go for if you really want to save some serious money. If you don't care about all the bells and whistles of the S95C hint: one connect box etc.
That could be the case.
Wow this is tough choice but thank you for the breakdown Ckid 🔥🔥🔥#BestBuySquad
Yea by far one of the toughest versus I had to make because I actually like them both for their own reasons. And I see you wit the #BestBuySquad...we out here!
Great video thankyou. Would the G3 look better than a top end mini led in a bright room?
Thanks ! It all depends on the look you like...but to me the G3 is the top of the top right now.
@@CKidM Thanks. Im interested in what you said. I enjoy a bright image.would the G3 give me that in a bright room
@@proggz39Yo must look more carefully at the model number and price... As the other guy says , you will not find the new S95c much under £2, 500
@@proggz39Burn in now is almost a thing of the past..
did you go through greentoe :)
I'm sorry but when you pointed out the solar charged remote, I busted out laughing... Who brings their OLED into the sunlight?
sadly samsung qdoled have alot of burn in like lg don,t have that issues anymore
😂
@@stanleyholmes7155 I didn't experience any burn-ins...but it is a possibility
@@CKidMdo you experience burn in now on the s95c?
A95L will be the king, will have the brightness, colors, dolby vision, and sharpness wrapped up all in one.
I don't know...right now it will have to be proven to me.
and the highest input lag
Even last year A95K still bested LG in terms of colors, motion, sharpness, processing, and sound
What about reliability? I've heard lg is more realiable and the tvs last longer than samsungs , at flagship tv level is reliability even a factor though? Maybe the difference is so small that your better of just looking at which tvs picture and features you like more.
Oh and yeahhh I HATE Tizen. I own an S95C and an LG C1. The OS on the LG is wayyyy better. I literally keep the S95C offline and use a Fire Stick 🤣
Yea I'm wit you I do not like TizenOS
I hate the pointer. God I hate the pointer. Own a C1
@CKid so if the decision was a 100% based on picture quality would you choose the s95c?
Yep
Mount might be free, but it is a lot more expensive.
#BestBuySquad for real for real I wouldn’t purchase anything anywhere else. Definitely love there. No question ask return policy. #BestBuySquad

Doing something for others is definitely a good feeling 👍🏾
That crazy you are one of the first people that says gaming on g3 is better when every other reviewer was saying the s95c was better at gaming
Personal preference or maybe everyone else is just copying what the next person is saying. I say go to the store and see for yourself.
In your video. It clearly shows that gaming is brighter on the g3. But rtings says otherwise. I'm confused
S95C number 1 position for gaming..
I have lg oled...qd oled will be my next tv... Just love the colours
You sold me with G3 I am getting one from Best buy Thank you and I am new to yo uh ur channel
W
Loved the video❤❤
What do you think on the s90c?
Thanks...I haven't experienced the S90C yet. Go on twitter and tag Samsung....it may help them get them to me.
@@rmoore6471 Sheesh you're ballin big tome
I heard that qd oled burn in more if you see the video test of rtings. Do you have screen burn or dead pixel on your screen for now ?
The testings done on rtings showed qd-oleds burned quicker but they have new panels this year
@@beammeupscottsp7952 yeah but i have the samsung s90c and its the first gen panel so im worried a little
Ty as always for the vid, if anything Samsung killed me off buying after the clusterfuck of software updates last year on the S95B, I just do not trust them anymore. LG has a better track record. Still looking at either TV but my gut tells me get the LG lol.
Yea I heard that from a lot of people not liking Sammy software updates. Hopefully this doesn't happen with the S95C
@@CKidM just be wary, do the research and here what people are saying from respected places before ya update, I hope for everyone that has it they don't repeat last year
@Takeme_DCUO don't forget the burn in issues, I'm seeing it happen to a lot of people online.
@@BoredInTheComments on the latest samsung? I had it on the s95 B twice last year, one of them was my fault though, service menu hacking after they nerfed the TV. I thought fuck it if it dies it does so I more than full blasted the screen, it was excellent for about a week... Then it wasn't lol 👍
Thing is you can’t spend wrong there both top of the range tvs and there’s hardly any difference between the 2
GREAT review man! Straight to the point, no BS and I finished the review being clearer than ever about the differences between these 2 TVs.
Appreciate that. Glad I was able to help!

Ayeee #BestBuySquad in the building!
just simply need a tv for my kiddos. that is all. #SingleDad god bless your channel
I would recommend something like a TCL if it's just for a kids room...nothing too expensive...unless you just wanna splurge the G3 or S95C is complete overkill for a kids room. And S/O to you for holding it down being a single father...much respect bro!
Sonys first QD oled the a95k had Dolby vision
💯
I buy all tvs from Best Buy because of Geek Squad support. They bring the tv to you, set it up how you want, take away the box and if something goes wrong will come and pick it up…. With totaltech all this is free, plus a free 2 yr warranty…. #bestbuysquad
Yep I see you get it! 💯 #bestbuysquad
I have saw reviews that claim the LG g3 ( in game mode) does not have the same color saturation as it does in other video modes because of latency did you experience this compared to the s95c? Thanks picture quality to me as well as game performance should not differ.
Curious about this as well
testing done by rtings shows that color is the same in and out of game mode , its due to the lowered brightness of the tv itself in game mode that colors appear duller than outside game mode :(
@@nicknickname353 thank I appreciate the clarification, it is hard to choose between Q-D OLED and W OLED this year and Sony still has not shown us it offerings
S95C, almost same if not better than G3, but it going to be a lot cheaper, normally they are 30% off unlike LG OLEDs.
Yep I would wait until July 4th or Black Friday timeframe.
Does s95c have 120hz on the Samsung
I love the G3 I'm a LG guy
The lg g3 smooth better in sdr antenna channel and heat more while s95c it more colorful and it better in hdr gaming
Id prefer the LG G2 over the G3. G3 seems to wash Out Details Just so IT can get brighter. Bigger size G2 and with the Money i save a nice soundbar
great review and style, thank you
All right I was actually looking at the Samsung I just bought a PlayStation 5 dude help me I'm going to just watch movies and play video games and sometimes watch antenna channels that's it stream some channels you know I don't want to buy the wrong thing
Thanks, what a great comparison! I bought the S95B from discount. I also have the LG E7 which has burn in issues. It's nice to see that the LG is getting a lot better! I had to move the LG to my bedroom. LOL 65'' in bedroom is not a bad thing. Luckily I can still watch the LG E7 even though it has bad burn in after four years of usage. The S95B is in my living room for watching movies and playing games.
S95C TOP position product for gaming
I can’t make a choice lol both are at the top of their game, the one connect box is pretty nifty though #BestBuySquad
#BestBuySquad
U ain’t gonna be disappointed with either. Lol they both top end tvs
Watching a video today which says that that one connect box don’t give you full bandwidth HDMI 2.1. Gives you 40 gb instead of 48gb. I’m sure it’s not that big of a deal for most but for some it’s a deal breaker.
The one connect box causes black out drops when gaming, I can vouch for this as just in process of replacing mine with the G3
So everibody are talking about samsung colors just pop and they are stronger then lg...ok there is more color but that is the real image? Noooo...no way that in reality u see so much colors....the image may look more saturated but is not the corect image color and then the 5 yeara waranty of the pannel from lg...damn best choise for me...and the heat sink that the lg has to cool down the pixels is another thing that make ur rv pannel rezist more....if u want more color jut put some color in tv...color saturation and u,r done but i prefer the the natural.and real colorrs of the image....sorry my english 21:01
Love the video and I had to give you a thumbs up! Appreciate the shout out. Really can’t go wrong with either. I have more fun on the S95C so that’s my choice. Look forward to more of your content!!!
For sure bro...appreciate the tip...definitely fixed the issue.
Now how did that guy get that tv in that small car 😂
It was tough but we got it to fit
Love that you give back sharing your Blessings ❤ ❤ absolutely amazing
I appreciate the love and you watching...much respect
This dork forgot the most basic difference that s95c has 144 hz gaming refresh rate over 120 crap g3
I can’t lie, you seem like a real genuine guy. Keep up the great work man. You a good dude, stay bless fam

when wall mounting the LG g3- can you fit the plug behind the TV? or would this make it not gapless
It will lay flat because of the location of the port. It allows it to be plugged in vertically on the back of the TV instead of directly on the back where the plug would stick out like normal TV’s
S95C for me 💪🏾

Last years Sony a95k qd oled has Dolby vision too🤦🏾♂️😂 qd oled all the way Dolby vision or not. If you have to have it get the Sony
I’ve narrowed it down to these 2 tvs for when I buy in the spring, and this was very helpful! They truly go blow for blow in so many categories, and I think it’s ultimately going to come down to price 😅
