Paul and Nuno together are just as a dream that comes true. They're over the top, period!! Funny when Nuno calls Paul "Fu**in'" Gilbert at 5.15 and he goes close to Paul watching him at the end with the expression "C'mon man, how can you do that!?!?"!!! :) They're soooo cool!

Realized it long time ago but unlike the other quitters I realized Paul Gilbert is Human just like me he eats like me he poops like me therefore I can do what he can do too as long as I dont quit I may not be as good near PG now but at least I can play the guitar better now than I was years ago
Hi all, That effect was the prototype of his Airplane Flanger that Ibanez released. There is a chance that it was the original ADA flanger he has used for years. I have the Airplane and if you dont have one, get one. It is the coolest effect I have. It has so many sounds you won't believe it. Best to all.
i know he was in g3 in 2007, but this is awesome too. i think it's awesome to see many of your favorite guitar players playing together in the same show

If you look Paul neck pickup you will observate that it's a single-coil for this guitar, it's maybe another Jem single. Nuno use a Duncan 59' in the neck position and the famous Bill Lawrence L-500 in the bridge position.
Paul said that he wrote Viking Kong because he wanted to do a heavy metal duet with Yngwie, but as Yngwie didnt want to, Paul had to play like Yngwie :) Gotta love Paul Gilbert.....!

I saw a documentary of the whole thing back in the early 90's, but haven't seen it since. Hey, it's probably on here, isn't it? Phew, there goes this evening.

That is an old RG750 that was the first guitar Paul received as an Ibanez endorser. The bridge was changed to fixed years ago.

Brian Carroll is "Buckethead", Paul taught Brian back in GIT, I think, or MIT, it was one of the two, hence the similar styles.
