Cheers for this, I have been researching "shred guitar technique" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Ganyatty Guitar Gainify - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend got great success with it.
Agreed 100%. Although my stereo hasn't been hooked up for years, I still have that CD, and I can alway pull up those songs here and listen. I have a Bose speakers w/a subwoofer on my computer & it gets loud enough for me, and my neighbors.
Nuno can stand next to ANY guitar God out there and hold his ground in perfection...Easily on my top 5 guitar players of all time....His right hand is a machine..

The best thing about this song is the fact that it all sounds like a big ass jam session both on the record and live. Especially in this live version where Nuno decides to slow it down and then speed it up again, throw an eruption in there... Just plain fun. One of their greatest songs no doubt
Nuno is for sure Next Level but props to Paul, He could easily outplay anyone he is on stage with but knows when to let it rip and when to let others shine. This is obviously Nuno's song and Paul just hangs back and lets another True Master of the instrument do his thing...

Back when they were first getting big Extreme played a show in Rockford,Illinois where I lived and after the concert they went to a local bar to hang out and the bar band that was playing asked them to come up and jam and Nuno and Pat got up and played 4 songs with them and on every song Nuno sat back and rocked the rhythm and let the bar bands guitar player do all the leads...was the coolest thing ever,here is a Master Guitarist just kickin it and letting another guy shine...He gained a whole new level of respect from me that night...

Just laying it out there that while Nuno is indeed a guitar god, his bassist (in Extreme) Pat Badger has to nail that riff along with him. That man is a monster. Also noone's going to mention Nuno missing his vocal track?
Pat Badger is one of the best rock bassists ever. Playing with Nuno, you have to be. The original Extreme lineup was unbeatable. What a band, with the greatest rock singer of all time. Nobody can touch Gary Charone.
Don't do that. I assume you're kidding. Be inspired to play better. great guitar playing isn't only about shredding. Listen to Andy Summers with all of his work with the Police. The Edge is another great guitarist with U2. All of these great have their own rewards. I could give more examples, so be inspired.

But alot was cut out, and if you snoop around youtube you will find NUNO playing drums on a few of the edited out tunes....also,.check out 'New Princess' Bettencourt family members and such, and their drummer looks VERY familiar. Even put on a pink wig when they opened for Extreme so people wouldn't recognize him. Let the young ones have their day. What a humble and talented individual.

Best road trip album, ever. I can listen to every track, and about 1.5 hours passes in no time.
