Dr.Dray choosing to share her knowledge on TH-cam changed my life! I developed severe adult acne and watched almost all of her videos and learned all about how to effectively use adapalene. I almost lost my job because I was tired of being so insecure about my acne and would call out from work. Now my skin is clear as ever and I am confident about my face again. Thank you so much for another great video! I would be interested to know your thoughts about the term “anti-aging.” As I get closer to 50, I realize nothing is going to anti-age me and I don’t want it to. Why can’t these products be seen as pro-aging, helping us to look and feel healthy without the negative connotation? It feels like agism, similar to how the term “clean” feels like green washing. I worked really hard to get to my age and want aging to be celebrated not something to be fought against. I am a lot happier than when I was younger. Thanks for listening to my two cents. 🥰

I have to be careful that any product I might want to try doesn't have niacinamide (niacin) in it as my skin will end up having large red bumps everywhere. Oil of Olay products are the worst on my skin. I've found that the best product(s) for me is Mario Badescu products. Over all, they are just as inexpensive to use as drug store products. The + side is I was able to fill out a questionnaire & receive the recommended products for my skin for free to try & see if the products not only helped my skin, but that I didn't have an adverse affect. I've been using their products for 15 years & for someone who is considered a geriatric, my skin has never felt or looked better. My sister who is a devout follower of Clinique came up to me, shortly after I started using MB, at a local charitable auction & asked me what I was doing to my skin because I looked years younger & my skin was smoother. She tried the samples too & while she said she like the products & how good they felt, she wouldn't give up her Clinique. Why would someone pay 2 to 4 times the price of a product, if you received the same result?

Dimethicone is another name for silicone. Any ingredient ending with "cone" is silicone which plugs up your pores and makes your skin look smooth, but deprives it of oxygen and moisture. Same for shampoos with dimethicone which smooth down the hair follicles for a time, but your hair becomes dryer and dryer with more breakage over the long run. So to "remedy" that situation they recommend conditioners with dimethicone which smooth the follicles, but it's a vicious cycle. To remedy the damage done to your hair stop all products with dimethicone and with patience, using strictly all natural products e.g. Rhassoul clay to cleanse hair (and face) your hair and skin regain their ability to "breathe" and hydrate again. Dimethicone ruined my hair and skin and it took quite some time to repair the damage. If I can recommend a hair conditioner it would be The Honest Company - Conditioning Detangler, Leave-In Conditioner and Fortifying Spray - Sweet Orange Vanilla, but it's way expensive and you can find other natural conditioners for more a reasonable price. I hope this helps and I apologize if I didn't explain it as well as Dr. Dray.

At my Walgreens right now and the Alpha Hydroxy face cream, regular $9.99 is on Clearance for $1. Yes, a buck! I bought a few. Guess this means they won't carry it any longer....

I love all these. One issue I have after watching these videos and making a list of items I should start using, is how to actually use them, like in what order. I remove makeup, then cleanse, then..... what do I use? And if you use multiple thigs in what order (especially this question)? Or in the evening or morning? I need a step list haha. Thanks for your videos!

Hi Dr Dray thanks to you i got information my dermatologist never gave me. She prescribed me both minocycline tablets as well as clindamycin gel without any other topical medication like benzoyl peroxide. After listening to you, I decided to only use the clindamycin gel and got myself a benzoyl peroxide facewash. I've only been using it for 4-5 days so there's not much difference but I'm looking forward to results. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I had a similar experience. Given clindamycin and specifically had to ask about antibiotic resistance. Then I was told it wouldn’t be an issue if I added a BP cleanser. That’s something that should be disclosed upfront instead of me relying on knowledge I’ve received from derms on TH-cam.

Idk what's in Oil of Olay products that causes bumps on my skin, like every one of their formulations causes my skin to break out. Olay is also so expensive for drugstore. So... ✔Neutrogena over ❌Olay for me.

Could you review Cellex C? It started with Vitamin C. Created in Canada. Patented. They had a fantastic ad of an older man with very deep eye wrinkles, where they only used their product on one side of his face and showed the results. It's available world wide now.

I am frustrated by all the products which you have reviewed. I am using Retin A at night, melatonin cream at night, in the morning hyaluronic acid, followed by vit c, next niacinamide, nest sun scream then foundation. Please tell me what I should omit. Your videos are awesome. I am 75+ and don’t feel “wise” using all these products.

I’m hoping to see better results. But my skin is looking so much better since I’ve tried some better skincare practices and suggestions that you made. Thanks.
