    The Chevrolet Silverado is a range of trucks manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand.[1] Introduced for the 1999 model year, the Silverado is the successor to the long running Chevrolet C/K model line. Taking its name from the top trim level from the Chevrolet C/K series, the Silverado is offered as a series of full-size pickup trucks, chassis cab trucks, and medium-duty trucks. The fourth generation of the model line was introduced for the 2019 model year.
    The Chevrolet Silverado shares mechanical commonality with the GMC Sierra; GMC ended the use of the C/K nomenclature a model generation prior to Chevrolet. In Mexico, high trim level versions of the Silverado use the Chevrolet Cheyenne name. Competing against the Ford F-Series, Ram Pickup, Nissan Titan, and Toyota Tundra, the Silverado is among the best-selling vehicles in the United States, having sold over 12 million examples since its introduction in 1999.
    The GMT800 Silverado/Sierra 1500 and 2500 pickup trucks were released in August 1998 as 1999 models. The "classic" light-duty GMT400 C/K trucks were continued in production for that first year alongside the new models, and the Heavy-Duty GMT400 pickups (alongside the GMT400 SUVs) were continued until 2000, with the new GMT800 Silverado/Sierra HD (Heavy Duty) released a year later. A small refresh for 2003 models was introduced in 2002, bringing slight design changes and an upgrade to the audio and HVAC controls. The 2007.5 GMT800 trucks, built after the GMT900 had gone on sale, used the name Classic to denote the difference between the two generations.
    Chevrolet is represented in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series by the Silverado.[113] As of the 2021 season, 15 full-time and part-time teams use the Silverado.[114] Chevrolet has won the Truck Series Manufacturers Championship ten times since the series inception in 1995 and Chevrolet drivers have won the Drivers Championship a combined 12-times. The Silverado is also the title sponsor for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 Truck Series race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.[115]
    The truck also won the Primm 300 off-road race in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

  • @adammagnuson2850
    @adammagnuson2850 ปีที่แล้ว

    I got one of these kits in the regular stock version when they first came out since I love this style. I kept it stock for a few years, then I customized it with bigger tires and such. I got a good deal on a second kit, which I started merging with an Escalade kit to make a Caddy extended cab pickup. But I never finished it since I got frustrated.
    I love the special license plates for you, and the 'back story' on the this truck, makes it more than just a fresh off the lot look.
    I want to dig those back out now and clean them up!

Shoot every doggone truck I ever had and I had a many of pickemups, and junked out of everyone of them. Good deal Hoss! 🤘✌️! I been a junker since I was old enough to drive, and I'm 63 now. Even did that when I had a good job, did it on the side for Xtra income.

    Something I've noticed over 12 months or so, is on the interiors of models. I'm assuming you're doing stock interiors as close as possible to original colour combinations. Interior colour combinations on cars sold in Australia were generally the same colours for the whole interior, so seats, door cards/panels, parcel shelf, carpets/ rubber floor covering, roof lining, steering wheel/column and dashboard are all the same colour. I just found it interesting how different countries have different colour combinations on there vehicles. Love your work 👍

    • @hpiguy
      @hpiguy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just do what I think looks good. Sometimes I get close to stock, sometimes I am way off. Either way I'm having a good time doing it.

    BMW has laughably bad leather. So does Mercedes. You want good leather you have to go back to pre-96 Cadillacs, before the EPA forced GM to change the chemicals they used for processing.
