    Same problem on my mk6 golf gtd the boot and whole passenger side is soaking rear seats full of mold that I can't get off (full leather) and when we had the cold weather all of the inside of the windows would be covered with ice and carpet frozen taking 20 minutes to get off every morning before work. Hope one of these solutions work. Thanks for the vid!

    Going to give this a go later, what did you do with the screen wash to neutralise the smell, just spray on some diluted mix? Thanks.

    Bought a car to sell on and it’s been sat there not driven but unsure whether the leak is coming from the same place. Really annoying

      @@sajloonat8746 it turned out to be the blower. Its positioned under the glove box. I paid £30 for the part. I replaced the heater matrix and The thermostat with no luck. Change the blower and it might save you some money.

    Have same problem with my VW and was told for diagnosis only will cost me £280 which I felt was ripoff. Took it to a different garage ,where I paid half price ,but problem persist . What should I do ?

      Look for a local garage with good reviews is your best bet. If your near Luton there's a place called hazzydayz that I would vouch for.

    The aircon unit wound pump out that much water. The issue is the inside of the door lining. It fails and water running down the wet side’ of the door crosses to the dry side then appears at the bottom of the inner card. It then runs over the lower door plastic in to the footwell - in large quantities. You need to dismantle the door inside and stop the water crossing the plastic barrier. Poor design by Golf

    Good video, golf mark7 and massive leaks into spare wheel well in boot.
    Just appalling

      It's normally the rear washer jet hose breaks where it bends when you open the boot

    • @reedy8585
      @reedy8585  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Often if you top up window washers with just water it freezes which damages the pipe but also if the main resivour is not frozen through activating the washer pump pressurises the hose which is blocked by ice which can cause it to burst. Again usually where it is weakest this being the part that flexes when opening and shuting the tailgate. it is common for the rubber boot that seals the wiring into the tailgate to be damaged during repair they have plastic clips that alot of inexperienced technicians snap and will not seal without being replaced

      The drain grommet from tailgate perished and had to be replaced, still found leaks! Sealed the vent behind bumber , still leaks what seems to have worked, there's a box section where the vents are, located on floor of this box section behind vent is a black plug . I've removed these two plugs no more water ingress into boot as it just drains out . The first one was a nightmare, as i had to figure out how to remove fabric inner wall of boot. But if one lies down and reaches under bumper, the plug comes out easily no need for pliers etc
