My ex was bipolar. It was great while she was on her meds but total hell when she was off. We divorced because of it after 5 years. I received custody of the children. Sad she went into seclusion and very seldom communicated with the kids. I raised them alone as best as I could but I can't stop thinking about what life might have been like had she not made the decision to stop taking the meds.
I would say the drugs did have a profound effect on his brain. People just dismiss these factors but if he have up the recreational drugs I reckon he'd find it makes all the difference
i havent been diagnosed. but i know i have bipolar. i have all the symptoms, my emotions swing from one moment to the next, with nothing really triggering them, but just something in my brain, like a pressure, a complete anxiety! then the next day, or sometimes even the next hour, i'll be fine. one day huge depression, the next day a heightened level of excitement. its exhausting. i didnt go to the doctor because their only answer is meds, which are more harmful to your health than living with the depression or anxiety of bipolar. I think these medications, in the long term, do more harm than good. I heard lithium has terrible side effects. there has to be a more natural home remedy thats healthier. i heard marijuana is good for calming the nerves. and also st. johns wort.
