  • Hey friends! Come to work with me today...from home! I'm working as a nurse practitioner from home doing remote telemedicine. I'm sharing the pros and cons to working from home, my daily routine, and productivity tricks I'm trying out like time blocking with a time blocking planner. There's so much more I could cover as a new grad nurse practitioner, so leave your questions for me in the comments!

I loved this video, thank you for sharing. I've been working from home for about a year and a half, and everything you said resonated with me - being very organized by planning and scheduling, having a designated work space and being prepared, all facilitate having the flexibility to do personal and home tasks without feeling guilty, and without falling into pitfalls. It's a perfect work-life balance once you have the right tools in place. Also, I started following the Mediterranean Diet one year ago, and that's when I first discovered your videos lol. Having the flexibility to prepare healthy, nutritious meals every day is absolutely wonderful, and I was happy to see you include that! It's much easier when working from home! I can't wait to watch more :)

I'm struggling to stay full while eating anti inflammatory to keep my acne down. Would love more info about your acne struggle and what foods do/don't work for you. I also do supplements and other gut healthy things but I really feel like my diet is 99% of the equation. Interested to know your thoughts!

How does licensing work when you work remote ? Do you have to pay for each state license you practice in ?

I’m a nurse with disabilities and was thinking if I got my ARNP and worked from home, I might be able to make that work….but I wasn’t sure how realistic it would be to find work from home positions, especially right out of school. Can you share if that is difficult to find? Also, did you find that school prepared you well or is it stressful starting out feeling like you don’t know enough? I’d also like to do arnp psych, but would that pigeon hole me forever in to that specialty? Also, how hard was school? I’m great with papers, but bad at math and can struggle with memorization. -Thanks

It’s cool to see what life is like as a nurse practitioner. Do you ever work in person or is it 100% at home?

Frustration is a very positive sign. It means that the solution to your problem is within range, but what you're currently doing isn't working, and you need to change your approach in order to achieve your goal.

I've been considering a career as an NP. I didn't even know working from home was an option! Are those positions hard to come by? I would still like to do some in-person patient care, do people ever do hybrid positions? Thanks!

I wonder about this too. I like the idea of being able to still make the income but reduce cost of living by living somewhere cheaper or maybe overseas.
Not sure how laws would work out that way
