I've jumped off the carnivore diet to the Mediterranean and like it and FEEL so much better. Never felt like I was eating "clean" or healthy on the carnivore. I love my beef, but since I switched I don't crave it like I used to and I'm really enjoying the variety of foods. I'm also losing more weight on this life style... feel so much healthier.
Pecans do have a higher nutritional profile than all of the other nuts, but as far as antioxidants go, Walnuts, the second considered healthiest nut, edges out pecans in that department.
I want to start a Mediterranean diet. I have 100lbs to lose plus want to obtain a healthier lifestyle. I just stumbled across your channel today. I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you! Per Mediterranean life, you said you get new recipes every week. Do you have access to the previous recipes?
I was told to eat a Mediterranean Diet by my doctor because of inflammation, and other issues. but I'm having problems combining this with the low fodmaps diet for IBS. The Med Diet includes a lot of beans, lentils, garlic and onions that I am not able to eat. I also went gluten free (wheat is bad for IBS) but hate gluten free bread LOL. What bread do you use? It looks good :)
Can you do the video about blood pressure and how to measure it at home. Because it is blood pressure awareness month and its great to spread awareness😊
That's such a great idea Nina! I'd love to do a video on BP. In the meantime, for anyone reading this - this is a great resource for measuring BP at home...www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-pressure/multimedia/how-to-measure-blood-pressure/vid-20084749 (The key is to sit, relax, and be calm for 3-5 minutes before taking it.)
The pecan is a species of hickory native to the southern United States and northern Mexico in the region of the Mississippi River. We don't have pecans in Mediterranean. Also, "Tawouk" just means chicken in Turkish.
As you will find with a lot of typical mediterranean foods (e.g tomato), it's not actually native to the region but the "non native" foods included in the Mediterranean Diet plan are high in nutrients and plant based. It works nonetheless.
Flafel is not from Israeli!!! As it is my heritage so let's make it clear...It's a traditional Egyptian food since the pharoas and it has an Syrian and Lebanese version..I love your video but don't share misinformation please..
Israel is only 60 years old! Does anyone really think that in 60 years they’ve developed Middle Eastern foods? Israel is an illegal country, stolen from the Palestinians who are every religion (Christian, Jewish, and Muslim). There is NO SUCH THING AS ISRAELI FOOD.

@@lily5952 At least tomato and pepper are grown in abundance in the Mediterranean countries, but I don't know which one grows pecans though.
These look great! I'm curious what made you switch from fully plant-based to this way of eating.
