    How were you able to adjust the sliders on the passenger side to make them stop rattling against cab?

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I talk about it in my Pitfalls of Mods video, but I had to loosen the bolts towards the front and pull down on the slider, You could also have someone stand on it and then tighten the bolts.

      i put a board that fit between the slider and the frame to help keep the spacing I needed to clear. I didn't have someone stand on the slider when I repositioned mine, but it would have made things easier. Lol.

    Great vid as always! Given the issues, and the potential problems with the fasteners rubbing against the brake lines. Would you recommend these particular rock sliders?

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I would still recommend them. When researching various sliders I found that a lot of them mount similarly so you still need to deal with the break lines on the driver’s side. It’s just how Toyota ran them.

    • @ShootingSportz
      @ShootingSportz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mumfy64 Thanks for the heads up, again this video was super helpful!
      I reached out to CBI, since I have been considering these rock sliders as well.
      This is what they told me about the brake lines.
      "You shouldn't need to bend/ adjust them more than a 1/4 or 1/2 inch for them to clear all the hardware. "

    • @Mumfy64
      @Mumfy64  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the only section that concerned me was behind the control box, and Im thinking I'll replace that bolt with a pan head just so there aren't any sharp edges close to the lines.
      I would like to have CBI come up with a solution to the front bolt locations so that you don't have to stick your arm that far into the frame.

    Did you order yours with the black powder coating ? Or bare metal ?
    I was thinking of ordering bare metal and getting them line -x . Trying to see if anybody else has gone this route, and how well the line-x holds up. What’s your thoughts on getting rock sliders line-x ?

    • @Mumfy64

    Thank you, very informative video. Whey they say bolt-on, you never think about control boxes and brake lines. One small comment, from someone who doesnt know crap about making videos. When your standing up filming, the constant movement can get dizzying (one example of many is the back and fourth in the beginning of the video). Like I said, I dont know crap about making videos, but thought I would mention it. Great looking truck!

    I drove up to Idaho Falls to pick up my sliders today. For that frame nut they now weld an 18" wire to nut so all you need to do fish it into the frame so it should be easier.
