Schön gemacht Raphel! As an American, with deep German ancestry, who immigrated to Germany 17 years ago I find it interesting to see you have a mix of European and American culture. We share a lot of similar interests and traits it seems. Here are my top 5 etiquette dislikes, 1) mobile phones in restaurants, 2) one liner emails, 3) baseball caps inside, 4) TV on during a meal, 5) people eating slumped over their food. This is a very nice first video and comparing it to your most recent ones they you have improved your presenting and narration skills alot, although of course for your first video these are great. I noticed you like the Duke of Windsor. Edward had a very unique and good sartorial style and I think he deserves a video on his style.

Good Day Mr Schneider! I'm glad that you've decided to start your own channel. One question that I really want to ask is what is your research and writing process? I'm always impressed at the amount of depth and breadth that all your articles have, even for topics outside of style such as choral music.
Hello Isaac, Thanks for your kind words. When I write something I want it to be the best resource available online.
First, I analyze what is out there. Second, I do picture research. Third, I use old fashioned books and magazines to get more information and for clothing related things, I have a huge one-of-a-kind library so usually I have several books for any given topic. Fourth, create an outline, Fifth, start writing. Sixth, find useful links... That's about it. I hope that answered your question.

Ha ha ha. "I don't like men who dress like teenagers. Sneakers, cargo pants, t-shirts and baseball hats." Ha ha ha...that's me 90% of the time! Sometimes I wear cargo shorts or running shorts. I work from home and have almost zero reason to 'dress up' which is what I'd call wearing a suit. I have a couple $199 suits and I love to wear them. I just don't have opportunity. Hard for me to justify putting on a suit to sit in my basement office.
I do really enjoy this site. I was watching the 100-1000 dollar suit video and thinking, "I don't know if I have $1,000 worth of clothes." Keep up the good work. Question...why no hat videos??

Freut mich, dass manchmal noch der deutsche Akzent durchkommt und dass es jetzt einen GG TH-cam Kanal gibt. Es wäre aber wünschenswert, wenn in der Zukunft mit einem besseren Mikrofon gearbeitet wird. Ich musste die Lautstärke auf das Maximum stellen. Man muss aber sagen, dass die Laptop Lautsprecher sowieso nicht gut sind. Aufjedenfall weiter so, ich freue mich auf mehr Videos :)
venom2k2 Die Audiolevels sind absolut fein, liegt offenbar an der Qualität deiner Lautsprecher. Versuchs doch mal mit Köpfhörern, die sind meist besser.
Du bist der erste der meinen Akzent deutsch nennt, aber each to his own ;)

Gentleman's Gazette Ich denke, dass es für nicht deutschsprachige Personen schwierig ist, ihn zu erkennen, da du keinen starken Akzent hast, aber für einen Muttersprachler ist er sofort hörbar. Allerdings auf keine stark negative Weise, wie sie oft zu hören, sondern eher in einer „sophisticated“ Art, wie sie in bspw. in crowns vom Duke of Edinburgh zu hören ist.

I am delighted that you are not gay as many people today think a “Gentleman“ is automatically suspect ( of course a Gentleman can also be gay, naturally). I am glad you like full bodied red wines and bourbon too, this is most endearing. You have created something wonderful which is badly needed by men who aspire to becoming a Gentleman and is deeply appreciated by those kindred spirits who, though being advanced, still wish to continually improve themselves (as a Gentleman would of course).

Bartłomiej Kulpa Haha. that's a funny question. I use a face scrub every once in a while but generally, I am not really set on brands. However, I check if products contain fragrance and alcohol, parabens, mineral oil etc. (not good)
