    56.6gr looks great!
Bravo for not getting tempted to go too hot.
Another good test is to shoot a 5rd group at the minimum temperature you will hunt in and a 5rd group at the maximum temp you will hunt at… to verify POI and group size stability.
    Cheers!

This has been one of the best load development video series I have ever seen. You're really put in a lot of smart effort with your 270. I have been hunting with 270 for almost 35 years it has been a great round. In recent times, I have just run a plain Jane 140 grain partition. But I have really seen great results using RL22 powder. That rifle is very accurate with the combo. The trouble is it is very hard to find alliant powders of any type. If you have an opportunity to buy some I would do it. Thanks for your video series efforts and God bless.

Thank you for the kind words…I was late to the game on the .270 Win but man it’s turned out to be one of my favorite cartridges of all time!

Hoping to try this bullet in my 270 and 6.5-284 this season. Did load testing today and yesterday in 1 of my 270s: 24" Broughton barrel, 700 trued action, Rimrock stock, 57.0gr IMR4831, new Win brass, WLR primer, COAL 3.300 (3 shot grps) - 3260, 3264, 3227fps. Tested 57.5gr today, shot the same, 3/4" at 100 but didn't set up chrono today, range too busy. I'm also trying SUPERFORMANCE in the 270 and 280Rem. In the 270, 58.3gr - 3279, 3302, 3281fps, 1 1/4" grp. Tried 58.0gr today and it tightened up to 3/4". Also tried 58.6gr and it was safe, grp opened up though. Planning on getting speed this coming Thursday and trying a bit deeper seating depth with the SUPERFORMANCE powder

Here’s my load with the 129 grain LRX: 60.5 gr. H4831SC, 215M primer, Nosler brass. CBTO 2.7” that equals about COAL 3.310”. 3,080 MV, 0.64 MOA. SD 4, ES 9
I chose this load because of the low SD & ES.
Sometime I achieve tighter groups at 100 yards, but with a huge ES. So you have to make a compromise if you want long range accuracy.

Ive had phenomenal luck with accuracy back them off. I had them 1moa at 2.7 bto. Backed it to 2.65 and im shooting same whole groups. Pretty awesome bullets

They shoot really well! I just recently picked up a older Savage 110 in .270 Win so I want to see if this same combination shoots well in it too.

@@alabamareloader no doubt that it will. These remind me of the old gmx bullets. That worked incredibly for me. Hopefully i can find some more

@@alabamareloader i definitely will when i see it! I caved and bought the factory outfitters series withe the cx. And my gun liked it. Id assume it will preform similar. Especially for myself not needing to shoot over 300. They look great

POI shift will be related to pressure. The longer out you seat a bullet out the less pressure build up there is thus shifting your POI. Either way theres some nice tight groups right there! Should serve you well i reckon.

Great video. I've always had great accuracy with Barnes bullets. I've watched many videos from guys like Ultimate Reloader, Eric Cortina, Bolt Action Reloader, and Winning in the Wind. From what I've gathered, concentricity and overall length don't have as big of an impact on accuracy as I once thought. For my purposes, hunting and target shooting, I want a load and a rifle capable of shooting under 0.75 inch groups. My best groups I've ever got were 0.33" using IMR 8208XBR and 210gr Barnes TTSX in my Sako 85 338 Federal. I got these results by just following my reloading manual for OAL, brass trimming, powder weight, etc. I've loaded closer to the lands with other calibers and didn't find it made much difference in group sizes with everything else being equal.
According to Winning In The Wind, th-cam.com/video/5Oj9Os8rT8M/w-d-xo.html If you seat your bullet out farther you also have to increase your powder weight. That's something I didn't do, so maybe I"ll try that next time or maybe I'll just stick with my reloading manual for OAL and develop loads with different powder weights to find the most accurate load for me and my rifle.
