some students from India couldn't manage to tackle their financial situation (like part-time jobs etc) and therefore pressure was exerted and they went back to their home country. My son also got frustrated at some stage but I managed to convince him and ask him to be there and complete ur studies.@@faisalaus

What is the benefit of coming to Canada now?
When Canada opened up in the seventies, there were many advantages to coming to Canada. Back then there was a lot of work in the lumber industry in western Canada and big factories in eastern Canada. In those days, if you were willing to do any work, you would get a job within 8-10 days.
In 1990, a bachelor apartment went for $500 a month and a one-bedroom was $600 a month.
Almost all would get their 3-4 bedroom house within 10 years.
Groceries used to be so cheap that $200 a month could support the entire family. The telephone bill was $10 per month. A Vancouver-Toronto bus ticket was only $100.
School education was good, children had to give exams. It used to be very easy to see a doctor. Buses were less crowded.
Now the standard of education has gone down so much that children become like robots after finishing school. If you have to go to the hospital, you have to wait for 8-10 hours to see the doctor.
New immigrants find basements for shelter. Getting your own house has become a dream now. Those who have bought houses will have to pay the mortgage for a long time. Many homeowners are paying interest only, there is no reduction in the principal.
Bus service is so sparse that sometimes more than 100 passengers wait for a 38-seater bus.
International students are in a very bad situation. Spend 25-30 lakhs, live 4-5 together in basements and do hard labor jobs (warehousing, retail cashier, security). Even if they do 2 years diploma they do not get any good job, only minimum wage jobs.
Those with good jobs or jobs (income of eighty thousands or more) should come to Canada with a lot of thought, because when they come here, they are all considered workers and they have to find low-paying jobs and have to live in often in basements.

I visited Canada in 1984 and the Immigration Officer asked me ,How long is your stay. I said one or two months . He went into an office and was followed by his boss . who asked me . Don't you work I replied NO ,people work for me . He said how many people are employed by your company. I replied 3000. That shut his mouth and let me go . I stayed there for less than 2 weeks and left Canada.

I totally agree with your information but Canada is still much better than Pakistan. Canada is a paradise in terms of law and order situation, crime rate, inflation, unemployment and above all human rights situation. I also believe that if Canada opens its visas, a large number of Pakistanis will immigrate to Canada and I can tell you with certainty that this will be a bigger migration than 1947 because no one wants to live in a hell like Pakistan anymore.

Most of this evaluation is about GTA means, Greater Toronto Area or province of Ontario. Real state and job market in other provinces is not like this. Canada is a cold country and people should realize this fact before applying for immigration. Tax ratio is also one of the big facts. Immigrants who were open to reside or move to the provinces such as Saskatchewan, Alberta don’t face this situation.
I’m a proud Canadian immigrant Citizen for past 25 years. Lived in GTA since day one. We didn’t jump to buy big house or brand new car immediately. We updated our education first and got the job right away, our two boys also completed their bachelor degrees patiently and have good jobs. They don’t chase name brand but made themselves name brand. Life is good for us after following these tips.
