Thanks for this channel Chris. I’ve always enjoyed the professionalism and sincerity of your content. Looking forward to seeing more! I’ve just started off my career and really appreciate the advice you provide
This has a vibe of someone who reads management books, but doesn't have practical experience. The advice is banal, and doesn't consider situations where the boss isn't willing to listen despite the employee doing everything as this video advises. It would be helpful to do a followup video that addresses these points, and includes some real life examples of these points. Bonus points if it can give some pointers for how to handle some common resistances from bosses to change, since that's typically the real issue in most workplaces. Doubt the one employee complaining is the only person seeing the problem or no one else has tried bringing it up.
So you have to suck up to your boss and think of a resolution to your problem, so what is point of a manager and his training to deal with complaints. Say that another manager is abusing you sexually, how would you deal with that to solve it yourself?
Good question. If someone is sexually abusing someone at work, that is now beyond a complaint. When any member of the team has identified a problem with processes, policy, systems, technology, and other issues that impact the business, this video can help to guide those conversations. A typical manager's job is keep the ship running but most managers work as part of a team since no one knows everything. This is why it so important for you to feel like you are part of the team that you are a part of.
I need advice please help me. I’m working as Casual only working 4hrs every other Sunday. I have full time job Monday to Friday, but this morning my manager ask me to give more availability schedules, if i can’t they will get rid of me. She said the GM said they don’t want casual anymore. I have co-worker partime position, not working for Months, but it’s ok for them. What should i do?
Should I report a complaint about this manager at work? He jokingly told me not to enter the women's bathroom, but that's not the problem. Later, he approached me and put a hand on my shoulder, while telling me he was just kidding. _That's_ the potential issue. He put a hand on me. Should I report him for that? I was always taught that hands to yourself is crucial at work, aside from handshakes, high fives, or fist bumps. What should I do? I think what he did is considered crossing the line, isn't it?
