  • In this episode we Attempt to remove the rear chunk from the 8" Ford rear end. We have to remove the drums, axles, and drive shaft before we actually pull the Chunk out.

      haha, yeah but a 9" isnt really needed for a street car thats 300HP

      @@ID10TGARAGE I want to put a traction lock in my 70 1/2 falcon but I can’t handle the idea of doing it to an 8” rear. My convertible is a 9”.

      @RustyDreamsGarage swap em then....my 71 is an open rear as well but with the aod I needed a 350 or better gear so might as well go posi. Plus it's not a huge HP car so no real reason to spend the extra for a 9"

      @@ID10TGARAGE I’m not sure about mustangs but I can find complete 70/71 Torino rear ends for $250 up here. The third member is the pricey part. I stupidly sold an open spare I had for $200 last Summer.

      @RustyDreamsGarage everything seems to be at a premium lately. I bought the chunk awhile back so it's just been getting the work done
