I have a friend who has a lot of Mustangs in stock and has a lot of potential parts
Nice, what state is he in?
Sadly out of all I want to love this product but mine has had nothing but the issue of not getting past the load menu 8 times now since purchase.
That sucks to hear, what version of firmware are you running? I'm going to do a firmware flashing video before too long with emmc upgrade
@ID10TGARAGE i keep looking up threads to say which one to put in and over write it with 1.0.9 but it continues to do this.
@mechalovecraft yeah, i have 1.08 but I'll be flashing to 2.1.0. It requires an USB emmc adapter and converts to a different version of Linux.
@@ID10TGARAGE is that the armbian update?
@mechalovecraft yes sir, i believe so. I'd have to double check but I'm gonna do that on a 32gb emmc which should help with space issues
You would be time and money ahead to just convert them to the bolt-in style. By the way, love the T-shirt 😂
Definitely something I've been considering. I have a buddy with a few parts cars so checking to see what he as to start with. Maybe ill get lucky and get them from him
Putting that time in Brother. Merry Christmas
Always, Merry Christmas
Keep it up Jeff.. i admire your enthousiasm! Why cant a company come up with printers that work flawlessly? I dream of a printer that works well out of the box!
We're a long way from the T500 continued. 😁
Ohh im cooking something up for it too :)
Could this do 100c bed temp?
May need to replace the mosfet but with stock ive had no problem going to 90 after adjusting the klipper configs to allow it
wish you all the best with this baby... and that you can overcome the problems like you did with the t500.. thumbs up
Appreciate it, I'm sure it will have issues like most 3d printers
Mustang looking pretty good 👍
Thanks 👍
You need to start using guide coat during all the primer. I use it even on my cut and buff.
I was using the Red Oxide High Build as a guide coat to discover everything during blocking. I have black high build for the next stage before paint.
I doesn't matter what color the primer is, it's about using the guide coat on top of it 😏
What type of plastic did you use?
For permanent i use CF PETG. For testing I use PLA
Sanding sanding land more sanding
Yup sand, primer, sand
I feel ya man. It’s hard to film content when all your doing is sanding away your finger prints lol
Dang that’s awesome! I need one for a 1970 can’t find them anywhere I really hope you start selling them one day!
Still waiting on a biggest enough printer. Was supposed to get it in August but it's supposed to be here thus month
Looks a ot better 🏆
How are you running 90 degrees on a bed that only goes up to 80? *EDIT - ahh seems you modded it?
You just have to adjust the config files. It's very simple in klipper
Looking good .its a starter base coat .put the gray over the white .it will turn out just fine
Yes sir, just a lot of sanding to fix mistakes
How level is the factory bed?
its pretty level most the time but i dont like the sensor. Id needs replaced so i can use glass
Where did you get the seats, please?
Jegs retro seats. Sign up to get txt notifications and leave them in your cart and close the site. They'll txt you a coupon for up to $150 off
Did you figure out the bell housing leak? Where is that from?
Pretty sure the torque convertor seal is leaking
Links to the parts?
www.summitracing.com/parts/LUB-LLT-A727 www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G3891B www.summitracing.com/parts/ATI-723540 Tie Rod parts are all Moog off RockAuto
Is it the angle....or are the front brake rotors needing replaced?
They seem fine but I haven't really dug into them. They aren't screaming at thr moment
I'm glad to see the satellite on the road
It was nice to drive even if only for an hour
That's awesome work. I hope you're successful in your quest to sell them. Seems like 3D printing is ideal for a lot of low volume, specialty pieces in the car hobby.
For sure, I'm waiting on a massive 3d printer for actually making a sellable one.
@@ID10TGARAGE there's definitely room for this sort of thing. I remember seeing where Jay Leno needed a water pump for some brass era car from a brand that went out of business a lifetime ago. He scanned what he had left, used CAD to reconstruct the missing bits, had a short run of them made at a foundry, and put the scans out on the internet for anyone else to use. Now a part that was gone forever can still be had. Ultra low production runs from people interested in niche models can help keep the hobby going.
Sounded pretty good!
2.5" exhaust with welded mufflers and long tube headers never sound bad
A pretty clean looking unibody under the Satellite
just purchased one off ebay for under 700. hope I won't regret the purchase. One thing I found out is I can't use the higher temp filaments. I'd really like to use Poly Carbonate and a few other "exotic" materials. Has there been any upgrades to support this or am I sol? any other mods I might want to consider? thanks
So you have to edit the configuration files to allow higher temps, I also changed out my bed mosfet to a big red mosfet. I print mostly petg
Hey man, any update? Did you get the voron upgrade done?
I never finished calibrating it but it does work. Just needs Calibration. Just been too busy with the cars to do much printing
Comgrow products on a whole seem to be cheaply made. And their 'support' is a nightmare.
If there's a better looking mirror on any car than the Ford sports mirror, I don't know what it is.
The unibody looks pretty decent under there!...at least you own the best two car brands..Ford and Mopar 🏆 🏆 🏆
yeah this is the cleanest unibody ive ever owned
@@ID10TGARAGEare you completely done with the Ford Torino site on farsebook?
Not at all, just on the back burner
And just no updates to post
Nice! Way to get it done Botha!
Great video Brotha!! BOOM BABY!
Thank you sir
Hey I’m interested in buying a grille from you if you’re still making them. Please let me know. Thanks
I haven't started making them. I'm waiting on a large 3D printer that should be here in the next couple months
Good to be driving! Do you have a vid with more info on how you relocated the HVAC controls and designed the instrument panel? So many cars had those long, stretched out speedometers, and the way they're laid out and designed can be a real pain to modify.
I have videos on how i design them in general, a bunch of shorts on the cluster itself and im sure something where i 3d printed a mount for the AC stuff in the radio area. Also i have redesigned it a few times, you may want to check on my FB for that. ID10TGarage on there
Looks to me like the bucket seat support does more than just that. Earlier models of convertible Mustangs uses a seat pan that looks a good bit like that in the area over the trans tunnel, but it goes all the way over to the rocker panels. In the Torino you've got a crossmember there that's cut in the middle for the driveline, and this would do a lot to stiffen that area by connecting those two pieces. Is this where the transmission crossmember bolts underneath? I notice Torinos have a totally different trans mount arrangement, but I don't have enough experience with them to see it in my mind.
Yes the transmission mount is like a wish bone off the frame rail almost. There is a lot of majorly different support structures on the torino by comparison. The weird thing to me is it doesn't all attach to each other. Thr center support stops at the tunnel on each side. The front rails, attach to just thr floor at the front. It's an odd configuration to me but does seem very study with all the guessets.
When are you going to finish the Torino?
When I have a lot more money to rebuild the engine and but new quatters
@@ID10TGARAGE oh I didn't know that the motor needs rebuilt..just get a 429 with a C-6...make it a tire fryer😀
It's just getting tired and oil pressure has been low. Been adding additive to keep it up on thr 351C
I love watching your videos because it gives me great pleasure looking at the huge area you have to do cool projects. I live vicariously through you LOL. Also, thanks for all the T500 help over the last few months. Keep up the great work. Haha at the YETI shirt!
Lol, appreciate it and I do love that shirt
Nice!
Thanks!
it's so slow! ..compared to my bambulab
isnt it also much larger?
Nice man, be careful with that music! I use music from Karl Casey @WhiteBatAudio Just credit him and your good. What you using?
I'm using a bunch of youtube free licensed music. They have a library you can search through
Your feed deserves way more subscribers. The work is real, you explain what you're doing in detail, you're honest about what you're doing and whether or not it's going well. Lot's of content on multiple vehicles. I'm enjoying it.
Really appreciate it, I zip through stuff sometimes but I try to give honest opinions and detail about what I'm doing
Nice console 🏆
Thanks as usual
Once you see the lower cowl it's clear why you've fought so hard with rust. It was basically a giant funnel to scoop water inside and distribute it like a sprinkler all over the A pillar, toe boards, and firewall. You're a brave man!
Yes sir and this car was pulled from a ditch in PA
@@ID10TGARAGE reminds me of a 1957 Ford convertible I discovered when they cut a new road through the woods right next to it. That one was so far gone it wouldn't have been worth scavenging for parts.
I think you've truly saved this car, because it was getting ready to fold in half between the base of the windshield and the toe boards. Nice work, and really indepth.
Yeah it was certainly crumbling. Just glad a new Cowl came available. Thanks again for watching
To Mohawk or not to Mohawk that is the question?
haha im trying to grow it back lol
My hair grew back this was so alpha! 😂
lol youre ridiculous
I'm watching this whole series because I'm interested in finding a 70-71 Torino. They're different from a lot of the Falcon-chassis cars and there's not a lot of content online about them. A lot of the differences could be applied to other Fords such as Falcons, Mustangs, and Mavericks. The structure you're working with and the stronger top flange on the fender aprons is a great example. It allows these cars to run without the shock tower braces you see on the other cars I've mentioned.
There are a lot of similarities as well. As part of the series the whole front suspension minus the Steering Linkage is all 69 Mustang parts. I really like this car, its unique and cool but parts can be hard to find but the good news is reproduction parts are starting to be made as they become more popular
Im trying to put disc brakes on the back of my mustang and the parts i needed to watch were all fast fowarded thru
What are you having an issue with? I'll be happy to try to help
I like how you added those angle brackets to the torque boxes. They're invisible once installed and it's a critical part of the car for strength.
Yeah, i wanted to make sure with them not be available that i built the new ones as strong as possible. Didnt want to run into rust issues down the road or see structural issues. Thanks for watching
