    Great info. Please re-edit the video to remove the clip of the Key Bridge collapse. Watching 7 people die while you give out otherwise good info is uncool and not respectful to their families.

    The Tesla Powerwall costs $8,400 before taxes and installation and only works for 12 hours.

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  วันที่ผ่านมา

      That is good to know. How much was it with installation? And when you say 12 hours, was this for the whole home or without using Air Conditioning and other 240 volt appliances. Thanks for watching and sharing information. Much appreciated.

    My wife and I are having a new home built in Suprise Arizona. I'm looking into the Tesla total Solar and Powerwall 3 package for our home. (The home will be ready in March 2025)
    We used to live in Houston and we were considering a backup generator. But now in Arizona, AC is a must during summer.
    I am also having the home and garages upgraded to being insulated. And the powerwall 3 will be installed inside the cooler garage.
    The question I have is...if the Power Grid goes down in Phoenix and my backup Powerwall 3 kicks in. Do my Solar Panels still charge the Powerwall 3 during the daytime?

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for your comment. Yes the panels will charge your batteries during the day. Do reach out to me when your home is ready. I should be able to offer a very competitive quote for your Tesla system. Best jon @mysolarhome.us

    I have a House in Mexico and the problem is that the Grid power is such poor quality ( between 240 volts and 265 volts) I had to switch from a Old Sunnyboy to a New Fronius Primo that will still sell/push power into the grid up to 270 volts. What is the voltage range that the TPW3 will still connect to the local grid? Thank you for your information!

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Kevin, That is a difficult question to answer. Solar and Batteries are programmed to work with higher than 240 volts, but no one discloses the exact tolerance in specs. I am not sure if Tesla sells the Powerwall 3 in Mexico - but if they do, they will be able to answer the voltage question with authority. Alternatively, you can call Tesla in the US and try your luck. But be prepared for some time on the phone. Best of Luck. Jon

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Duane, There are actually quite a few more battery brands out there which boast of better specifications. My worry is, how many of them will be around in 5 or 10 years. Once the EG4 brand hits scale and volume I will add it to my reviews. Franklin was in a similar situation earlier, but they jumped the chasm and are nationwide today. I hope the EG4 does too. Thanks for watching and appreciate your comment.

    very helpful video. Am in last phases of working out issues raised from site survey of my property. My spec is Panasonic EVPV400HK solar panels on garage with IQ8M microinverters. Originally spec'd IQ10T Enphase battery as backup but installers say issues with communication with this product and lack of space on wall next to main panel on main house is leading them to recommend PW3 with the built in inverter OR PW3 with A/C coupling (IQ8M micro). My question is whether you feel the new inverter in the PW3 with 6 MPPT for 6 arrays would be sufficient for 32 panels on a gable roof garage?

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Ray, Yes the PW3 will work very well with the 32 panel Panasonic panels. And why are you going with the Panasonic panels. Panasnonic has stopped manfucaturing panels and are now being supplied by REC. I think it is safer to buy REC panels direct. Who knows if Panasonic decides to exit. And, How much are you paying for the project? Email me details - I am usually able to do better than most vendors in the market because I have long relationships with the top installers in the country. And dont worry if you have a signed contract - since nothing is installed - you can cancel and the solar company will not come after you. (its an industry practice). Not hear to bash but you must be truthful when you say things. With the Power Wall 3 and new inverters, Tesla is finally catching up to companies with Hybrid Inverters that have been in the market for a few years. Tesla has a good ecosystem where their app can manage your car and your home solar if using their equipment. There are other wall mounted batteries that are bigger than the Powerwall 3 like the EG4 Powerpro 14.3KWh Wall Mount which can be had in an all-weather format or inside the building format that cost like $3700 each and works with most systems out there. So, you can't say that the Enphase 5P is the only one to offer something similar. EG4 has been one of the top leaders in batteries for a while now along with their BMS. They've also got into the inverter game with the EG4 18Kpv. Also, Enphase wasn't the only provider to allow you to install as much solar as you wanted. Again, the regular off grid converters have always done this and the Hybrid inverters that have been out for a few years do this. Tesla was the one late to the game with the Power Wall 3 and new inverters. Not knocking the Tesla's set up. It's a nice ecosystem but they aren't the only game in town that does this. Other vendors have been doing this at more the half the price. By the way, Qcells make their solar panels for them as well which are solid, and anyone can get them.

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you very much for your detailed and very courteous comment. I appreciate it. And I agree with everything you say, I have been hard on Tesla earlier, but, I am coming around to them. The powerwall 3 is a huge improvement.
      Having been around in the industry for a while, I have learned to stick with equipment vendors who have staying power, nationwide reach and a solid after sales network. I have seen a great many really very good products not make it to the finish line. So I will wait a little before I start recommending the EG4. I certainly hope they make it out to the races like Franklin did. But, it's still early days for them. Thank you again.

    • @MySolarHomeUSA

      Yes it is not approved in a bunch of states and NY is one of them. But Tesla is working overtime to get approvals.

    • @bluedrew
      @bluedrew 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When it's not approved, does that mean it can be used at all, or it can't be used in the actual meter. In areas where it's "not approved" can it still be used down stream of the meter in a separate meter box?

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bluedrew Unfortunately, it can't be used at all. You have to use traditional controller and subpanel architecture - the expensive kind. Thanks for watching and your comment.

      The Tesla Powerwall 3 is a superb product if you are in the market for a solar system less than 16kw in size. Currently it is amongst the best offerings if you are looking for solar + battery combination. But there are some drawbacks. I have a bias for good products and great technical architecture and the Tesla Powerwall 3 is a great product. I dont think you are being fair to my content if you say it is biased. Thanks for watching and appreciate your comment.

    • @user-qm8zn9yh1d
      @user-qm8zn9yh1d 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Was looking to see if anyone else noticed. Most of the solar sales Industry still prefers Enphase despite Tesla making more sense for most people. I believe you can add a standalone Tesla inverter to the PW3 for additional panels for larger homes. Also solaredges lack of reliability does not translate to Tesla. If Enphase goes out of business I would argue it’s harder to replace micros than a string inverter. With all that being said Enphase 5p is a solid option for those with generators

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user-qm8zn9yh1d You make very valid points. If it were just a string inverter replacement, that would be an easier ask than micros. With the Powerwall 3, its a hybrid inverter that takes care of both the battery and the panels - that would be a v difficult one to replace. You might need to hack the Powerwal 3 to access the battery. Replacing micros is easier albeit a roof visit is mandatory. Thank you and keep writing and watching.
