Subarus AWD was the reason they got so popular in Switzerland, especially in the eastern parts where the Alps are. We always had Subarus and they always did their job perfectly, no matter how much snow there was. Great cars.

He eased up on the drugs and alcohol. His face isn’t as red as in older episodes. He is now controlling his substance abuse.

Great joke but your presentation sucks.
Just bought a Japanese import Legacy B4 RSK. and it is an ANIMAL, 280bhp twin turbo 4wd, deep exhaust with pops/bangs, I am in love.
We had a BMW 530 Touring for 13yrs before buying a Subaru Outback in Germany with 165 hrprs from its 2.0l Diesel.
While it does not have the sublime double glazing, B&W stereo, buffalo leather seats and the straight six scream.
It does handle very well, in WHATEVER weather, the Diesel is a happy revving diesel, goes quite well when driven fast. It is robust, reliable and spacious.
I’m 6’4”, my dad is 6’2” and I can sit behind him quite comfortable. I was unable to sit behind him in the 5-series, at first we were in the market for a A8 or BMW 7-series. But my mom objected since we have a rather large dog 😂 we randomly stopped by at a Subaru showroom jokingly going to “buy a rally car” but the car sold itself, it has the legroom of a 7-series ffs, the only other large estate to offer this is the Skoda Superb. ALL other cars of similar size did not get to its level. (We tried them all out in the showrooms, Jaguar XF, Audi A6, BMW 5-series, E-class, Mazda 6 etc.)
Its great for those 13hr drives to skiing resorts. It goes through 40cm of snow on a decent pair of Micheli tyres. It has a Webasto, to heat it. It has leather seats, seat heating, Cruise control, open roofs and A/C. Plus a fucking manual gearbox. As far as I’m concerned thats all one needs. And a bluetooth connection, also nice. We all enjoy driving and are not keen on all the electronic nannies the competition has. 🤡
I’m gonna take her over in 2y when they’re gonna buy a Electric car at home, I will drive it until it dies.
And then I’d like to buy the new model, with the 2,4l Turbo engine, making 270hrsprs. It will be a great sleeper, tearing apart idiots in their Audi A6 or BMW 5-series. It will be great, 1.6tons of Japanese made steel kicking ass in the 3rd lane!
Also I take it on scoutscamp, dragging all kinds of shit around through the mud.
Its great

Spec B is such a great car, sadly almost impossible to find one that isn't heavily modified or beat to hell and back.
Got a 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT 5 speed automatic and had the engine replaced since the old engine was not taken care of, I changed the tail light bulbs back to stock, and reverted the car back to stock as well, and I love it, it's so unique.

Thanks for posting this video! I moved to Alaska December of 2014 and purchased my first import car a 2012 Subaru Legacy GT w/o a test drive. The dealer picked me up at the airport loaded my family of 4 in it with luggage and we dropped him off at his home! I could not believe how amazing this Sedan handled the snow and any terrain at that. Plus I sent it all the time pushing a inter-cooled turbo, hood scoop, 6-speed manual, AWD, sunroof, heated seats and sizable trunk. We made a another man child and needed more space but that Legacy was legendary and a badass car! Wonder how I can stuff that set-up in a 73-74 AMC Javelin/AMX? HMM..

My first car was a 93 Legacy Wagon that my grandparents used to own. Fully loaded. Power windows, power locks, and those sweet automatic seatbelts. Best car I EVER owned. I sold it to my uncle when I bought my 93 Dodge Stealth and it had almost 600,000 miles when he dropped a tree on it and he STILL drove it back to the house. Please do an episode on the Cavalier. I have a 2010 outback, 1st Subaru ive ever owned, n im beginning to love it.
Ive had many vehicles, n for what it is, i love it.
It gets decent mpg, like 25 to 28 for the most part, in 2.5L variant. I only paid 5k for it a cpl months ago with 104,000 miles.
Not what id expect to pay, but for what was available at that price point near me, its the best car for the money because i need awd for where i live for sure. I still need to show up for work no matter weather or anything. No excuses.
I drove a 95 2.0 Legacy Wagon in New Zealand for a couple of months, it was slow and thirsty but generally coped extremely well with the very steep unsealed roads they have over there, thanks to the AWD and dual-range gears, I'd love to try a 'full fat' version sometime.
