Little did Steve know at this time that his music, as well as those great musicians of the 70s, would have a resurgence starting around 2010...he's more popular and well know now than at that time and for good reason. Lots of players back in those days...but the ones who really stand out among them are getting their due. A few of Hackett's albums, and certainly his playing in Genesis, will be discovered with wonderment by kids a hundred years from now. That's having a real impact. His playing is magnificent.

I met Rick wakeman in 2022 when he was a judge at Recovery's Got Talent in Bury St Edmunds. Me and my good friend Tony (I write and sing Tony players guitar) got second place and Rick presented us our medal and trophy and we stood and chatted for a while. I kept it cool but inside I was screaming "I'm talking to Rick wakeman" also I'm 6ft 4 and he towered over me he must be 6ft 8
Seriously, when will this album come out ??? Come on guys, a Wakeman / Hackett album would definitely be an immediate success and, I'm sure, a great musical experience ! Looking forward to this venue with great excitement. 😉

It’s still not too late for a Hackett/Wakeman album to be made. So glad I have the Hackett/Squire one - the brilliant “A Life Within A Day” by Squackett. Wonder what a Hackman or Wakett would sound like. Perhaps lots and lots of intricate keyboard parts that weave their way through lush guitar landscapes. Sounds great guys! When’s it coming out? 😃
I really do wish tv shows like this were around today 🙏 Later.......with Jools Holland was like it, in the beginning, but sadly "sold out" (and went VERY/too commercial) not long after 😞 So these snippets are so entertaining 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Boy has the music industryr changed, what would ou guys be thinking if there was the internet back then..Everything a click away..I think it is easier to make your own music bow, but only venue to showcase..Internet/, ytube, social media.. none of those exisited back then. We had to go to a concert and listen to the radio, and buy albums..And musicians needed labels and producers...
Large parts of the US music industry have been close to cloning itself/themselves to death for decades. God it can be boring. The UK has never really had that problem, or if it has I have not noticed.
