I've said this before on XTwitter, but I think Steve Hackett is the most versatile and talented guitarist out there. There are many greats, but Steve just keeps getting better!
Barry - Excellent interview! Steve is such a great guy! I hope to meet him, even if only for a moment, when I attend his March 1 concert in Jacksonville, FL.
Another great interview with one of the greatest guitarists ever. I am looking forward to this album as I enjoy the tales Mr. Hackett weaves into his material.
I love that Steve talks so easily about other artists and their influences on him. I would vote Genesis members as the humblest of rock musicians. Their solo careers all stand on their own merits, and Steve's catalog is as eclectic as it is prolific. I cannot wait to see him in a few weeks in Kalamazoo. Barry, your knowledge of prog is impressive. Thanks!
Like the philosophical discussions gentlemen. I do think artists and in particular musicians can be facilitators of healing and spirituality. As I get older, connecting with nature has been a healing aspect for myself, which I advocate to others. I look forward to listening to the new album.
Interesting to hear Steve’s take on drum sounds,I think the latter albums don’t have the live feel of his classic period, his drum sounds now produced rather than natural…his prerogative of course
Prolific musician. Prog God. Always gives his time. Never hear him diss anyone. We'll miss him when he's gone. Enjoy him now. Massive respect.
finally an interviewer that truly knows these legends and their legacy
Thank you for your kind words
So glad to hear mention on Please Don't Touch: "Racing in A" is one of my favorite Steve Hackett songs of all time!
What a lovely chap. This is the best Hackett interview ever. Steve looks happy and very comfortable opening up to you. Many Thanks.

Steve is always a great interview . Seen him live twice , such a great mix of his own and Genesis songs just awesome.👏🎸✌️🏴
Night Whale is a terrific album, it is a seamless classic and a huge treat for guitarists 🎸❤️

Always enjoy Steve's interviews, and loved the Foxtrot show with his band in Boston. Keep those album tours coming! 🎸
Great guitarist. ❤
The best!

I love the Havens story and Please Don't Touch is a fabulous album. I really hope he does loads of the new stuff live.

i knew the Fairy Glen would crop up in this conversation
Great interview, great man, great therapy
Great interview, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
A wonderful interview - very thoughtful questions and Steve is so generous.
Thank you
Born and bred in the Fairy Glen
Can't decide who's the nicest guitarist in rock, Steve or Martin Barre!

tip, you need to work on a classic rock background, maybe a bunch of albums
it's a hard listen for me
