Mr. Burke Shelley is so extraoryginary singer. His voice, tones, everything. And great bass player too. Such a talent. Budgie deserves so much more credit they have in early heavy music.

it's always been that the more educated about music an audience is the better. Cream were very lucky that way.

I saw them like 3 times live once with Legs Diamond opening and another with Moxy opening. The third, I cant remember, but I do remember Budgie.

it cracks me up even more because it reminds me about the story of Pete Best (beatles) and how he sounds in the early demo recordings, he had a pounding sound and he used a lot of kick drum (it sounded awesome but maybe not for their style)

Great track, and I really like the guitar bolero in the middle. Tony Bourge is / was such an underrated guitarist.

"Tony Bourge is / was such an underrated guitarist." so true, and so sad

@@123vid321 I'm not sure it was "sad"; he retired from music to set up an antiques business and is apparently doing very well from it, and it was his choice to do that.

When you're living on your own
And things around you start to go
You're on your own, well baby you're on your own
When I see it in your smile
I can tell it ain't your style
You're on your own, well baby you're on your own
You're alone if you don't know it
And pretty soon, it takes its toll
Maybe I should ask you why
    You need everything
But you ain't got it, cause you're living on your own
One day soon this will be gone
And the love of life it could be
But 'til then you'll look at me
    Then you'll feel it grow
    And you'll always know
You ain't got it living on your own
And when I see you look at me
And I can tell how it will be
You're on your own well baby you're on your own
I can tell the way you smile
And just you wait and in a while
You're on your own well baby you're on your own

The beginning sounds like Hibernation by the Amboy Dukes . This is what made Budgie a Household name , and the most popular 1970s Proto Metal act . A favorite of Metallica the most popular Metal band. I prefer Budgie , despite being such a huge band . Budgie is definitely my favorite superstar Big Name mainstream Metal act. I even like them as well as some of my favorite underground 1970s Proto Metal bands such as Dust , Backstreet Crawler , Dirty Tricks , and Atomic Rooster . Another big name 1970s Pop Rock band Van Halen would cover the song In For the Kill back when the bleach blonde Jewish frontman Davey Roth provided the Vocals for Van Halen . Despite the over slick Pop Cleanliness of the Ted Templeman's lightweight airy production if the weather is right someone with the proper allergies could hear the subliminal similarities between the Faster Van Halen cuts , and In For the Kill. Although they mellowed it out and watered down the ferocity the Budgie influence the early Van Halen was undeniable

The others are just rock bands but terrific ones like Budgie Lucifers Friend Captain Beyond Deep Purple Zeppelin and my favorite Uriah Heep.
