I got my girlfriend a P365 because she liked the grip and size, it's been okay reliable she's had a few failure to lock open and some spent casings stuck inside the chamber. Out of over 2000 rounds it' had about 8 failures in total which is bad on my book but she's fine with it. My brother's G43X has well over 15K rounds and it's never given him one issue even with crap aluminum and steel case ammo. I'll see if I can convince her to switch to a G43X.
I have the P365xl for 12 months. 1500+ rds, 8 different types of ammo. 115/124/147 fmj and jhp. No malfunctions. I carry it every day and shoot it at least twice a month. I run the 12rd and 17rd mags. I agree with you. Any failure would keep me from carrying it. So far no issues, but from what I read, they definitely have some QC issues.
I've got a bit over 1000 rounds through my Sig P365 with zero issues. 7 or 8 different ammo manufacturers, JHP and FMJs. I've loaded mags with mixed types and manufacturers - no issues.
people care too much about what other people carry. I like discussing and debating as much as the next guy. But end of the day carry whatever you want.
For real. I only tell people to do their own research and not just get what’s popular. I had to find something cheap for my first one to train and learn on and it became one of my favorite guns of all time and it only cost me $350 to get the beretta apx centurion. My dad got a Glock 19 actually first and I learned on that platform but turns out I sucked with it. I took some intro courses and needed my own gun so I needed something cheap and comfortable and just got the beretta the sales rep suggested. As I learned more and trained I found my own match. My buddy bought a sig because it’s popular even tho we both can’t shoot it worth a damn. He swears by it because the brand and popularity and craps on what other people (me) have. Never understood it.
@@stern2701 Sure. I will say there are probably legitimately bad choices you can make with EDC like carrying some sccy 9mm or something. But if they have even a somewhat reputable brand It probably fine as long as they get training.
I've had a few pretty really strong aversions to what somebody was carrying. IF the subject comes up, I'll tell them the story that led to my opinion. IF it comes up, I'll tell them what I know about the weapon. Notice: Weapon. This is not just guns that I'm talking about. And then if that's what they want to do, it's their choice, it's their decision. If it does NOT come up, then I won't bring it up. Simple. Easy.
It's not whatever you want. Believe it or not they're actually is a right and a wrong when it comes to choosing a firearm to defend your life. The Right firearm would be something reliable with a good record and doesn't shoot when you drop it. The wrong firearm would be the cheapest one you can buy or one with recoil you can't control, or it freaking fires when you drop it
I’ve never owned the 26. But I have owned and carried both the 19 and 32 for many many years I’ve had several problems over the years with both especially the 19 mostly mag related and extraction issues. But were easy fixes. Last year I picked up the 365 spectre comp and I’m still blown away how small it is for a 17+1 gun super comfortable to carry. A little over 500rds in and no problems so far it’s a laser.
@@lkjslkdjfglkjsldkfjlthat’s not true at all. There can be all kinds of issues with revolvers. I would say Taurus has such a bad reputation in part due to their revolvers. They also aren’t a good option for women or other beginners unfamiliar with firearms.
If every firearm manufacturer spent all their time developing and testing to the point every one is absolutely perfect with no malfunction. There would be no guns released. It’s a tool and it’s made by humans and machines. You will never have a perfect firearm. Each person uses, cleans, maintains theirs different. So this person may have a malfunction where as the other may not. It’s all subjective.
First off I appreciate the content! I can only give my experience. I bought my regular P365 in December of 2019, it was an impulse purchase intended to replace my Beretta Pico that up until a few weeks prior ran flawlessly then started to not go all the way into battery, not without a nudge anyways. So I went home and youtubed the 365. *Que the Military Arms Channel videos about it then* Light primer strikes and all. I was pissed I spent $600 on a paper weight but I decided to give it a chance and run some ammo out of it. First day I ran 300 rounds of 115 grain FMJ no issues. The following weekend I ran 500 rounds, mostly 115g and 124g FMJ with some same weight HP's. Again no issues. About a month went by and I did more research, it seamed SIG fixed the issues. I was feeling better about the purchase but decided if I was going to carry it I needed to know how it handles HP's. So I dropped $200 on various brands and types of HP's. From 124g HST's to 50g Civil Defense and everything in-between. Everything ran flawlessly and I have been carrying it ever since and shoot and train with it often. 4 years later it now has well over 7,000 rounds through it with ZERO malfunctions what so ever and I have only cleaned it a hand full of times. No light primer strikes, no FTE or FTF. And it's completely stock with tritium iron sights that still glow, original mags, and I haven't even replaced the guide rod spring like recommended by SIG every 2500 rounds. This thing just runs, but I have heard the horror stories, so I reckon I just got lucky. Maybe I ought to knock on wood.....and replace that guide rod. 🤔😆
Not as many rounds as you have a 1,000 rounds through my macro. About 600 through my 365. I know half a dozen people with 0 issues with their 365s. I believe Tactical Hyve has over 50,000 rounds on one of his 365s. Also a couple of other people with high round count 365s. I wouldn’t be to worried I digress, there have been a few one with issues most as I can tell developed around 300 -600 rounds if they were going to have issues. I will probably build another one using Fdez works parts. Have a good one.
For me, as much as i like my sig P365 and P365 xl, i keep coming back to my Glock 27 and 23(.40 S&W). I really like the .40 S&W cartridge and glock pistols. Carry what you like, train with what you carry, but always carry. Stay safe
P365 is still the king of the microcompact nines. I’ve sent hundreds and hundreds of rounds through mine, I carry it constantly, it has yet to let me down. Maybe you’re just doing it wrong, buddy. “These guns rust. Not mine though, but other people have.” Sounds like circumstantial evidence. Changing out grips, changing out barrels, and you’re wondering why you’re having issues? 😭 get those views though I guess.
I will say, I had a P365X with zero issues. No rust, no malfunctions. The only thing I encountered was the slide not locking on the last round. Sometimes it locked, most times it wouldn’t. The reason I got rid of it was it just was uncomfortable to shoot for me.
Extremely well said. I've seen the same thing with these P365's and it's obvious SIG is letting their customers do their QC... no, not for me. I carry a Glock or a Walther, both are dead nuts reliable and that's what counts when your life depends on that pistol functioning.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I had dead night sights on 2 P365's and sent back to Sig. I own 4 of them, won 1 at a shooting school, traded another, bought the other 2. Ive fired over 5000 rounds through my P365XL, no problems, over 1000 rounds through P365 comp no problems. I carry the P365XL and feel confidant. Though I will say nothing makes me as confidant as carrying my stock G19.
Sig is a lifestyle brand that focuses its attention on marketing and trends, instead of manufacturing. They outsourced manufacturing to India, and spend all their money on advertising, and marketing. Sig USA isnt even related to the original Swiss company SIG, or the German company Sig Sauer. Much like springfield of today has nothing to do with old Springfield that built the reputation modern springfield relies on. Glock is a company that makes firearms for serious end users, such as military, and law enforcement. The SEALs, Delta Force, Green berets, SWAT teams... theyre carrying Glocks. German police had 500 Sig MCXs and half of them shit the bed in just a couple years. Now theyre moving to HK rifles.
Imagine the cost today of a P228, P226 made to the exact original specs and hand fitting. Maybe $1,800? The fact you can still find these guns used for $500-$700 is a steal.
When I was deciding to upgrade my EDC from a Beretta APX A1 Carry last year, I had some criteria on what features I wanted in my next EDC gun. #1: I wanted at least 10 rounds. #2: I wanted it to be optics ready (didn't want a red dot just then but figured I may in the future) #3: I wanted a weapon mounted light, specifically the tlr 7 sub, not the tlr6 because of the paddles. #4 I wanted a reputable brand name firearm. No caniks, taurus, iwi. (not to say anything bad about those brands, just my preference) And #5: (this was the big one) Had holster support at all with all those attachments. This proved to be the biggest issue. I was originally leaning towards the G43x because it gave me all those options with plenty of holster support. But turns out I don't shoot Glocks very well. I felt a bit discouraged because the most popular handgun brand on the market felt unnatural in my hands. And I was a bit upset about how long the grip was for only 10 rounds but didn't want to even try aftermarket mags for 15 rounds. I tried the G26 as well but just couldn't get over how physically thick the gun is. I'm a smaller guy, so a G19 sized "compact" is a bit out of my carry range. Then it was between the Hellcat and the P365. My buddy has a Hellcat and my little sister has a p365 (base model), so I got to shoot both to decide. I love both guns and just judging on shoot-ability, they were both neck and neck. I eventually went with a p365 just because it ticked all my boxes and had better holster support. After that, I went to Vedder to have a custom-made holster to fit my gun with a tlr7 sub and never looked back. I do 100% recognize people having rust issues all over and I do 100% agree that I shouldn't be even worrying about rust with a $500 gun. But I've cranked about 1k rounds over the last year (I like to go the range at least once a month) and she's thankfully been 100% reliable. I trust this particular gun I have but that's just me. I also don't consider myself a "sig fan boy" or anything fan boy. I just like guns, the more reliable the better.
I've not had any function problems from any of my 365s. My split times are slow with the 365. I shoot the 365XL very well due to the longer grip. I bought Wilson Combat lowers for both and big improvement. I think the 365 is a great backup gun the XL is good for primary. But really I like my Shield Plus much more. Glocks which I carried for years aren't carried anymore.
This is what I don’t understand about the p365 Wilson grip modules. Your increasing the thickness of the gun from the 1” that’s stock almost back to what a g26 or g19 is width size.
@bladeflyer6 Yes that's true. The grip width is increased but slide width and weight are less than bigger guns. The Wilson grip gives me much better purchase on the gun. Feels better and controls better in my hand. Somewhat of a tradeoff yes but it works for me.
@@michaelschaffer9165 gotcha makes sense. Didn’t initially consider what is in the belt line doesn’t change with that grip swap. Never tried Magguts personally but sounds like a nice compact setup. Glad it’s working for you.
I tried the P365's out as well; I had the standard, XL, and X-Macro. I didn't have feeding issues with any of them, but one did have a trigger issue that occurred once that killed my confidence in the platform. After shooting a few hundred rounds one day it would intermittently not fire when the trigger was pulled. The gun wasn't out of battery, the trigger was hanging up occasionally; I cleaned it and it was fine, but my confidence was gone. I went back to the Glock platform, with Glocks and Shadow Systems and haven't regretted it. I like the simplicity of Glock; a monkey could assemble/disassemble an entire Glock pistol with 5 minutes of training and a single 3/32 punch. Glocks just run and will eat just about anything.
Used to carry my p365 until I realized that there’s a single point of failure for the striker and striker safety. If the lug broke on the striker, it would then bypass the striker safety and would fire. Having 2 of my kids walking around me all the time. I coudnt get over this design in my head. Went back to my g26 and have full trust in that system.
I saw that also. The chances of it breaking have got to be incredibly slim but it's still something to consider. Glock has multiple redundancies so it is certainly a more robust design.
Completely agree. Very remote chance and haven’t seen any evidence of one occurring. But still something I can’t get out of me head when I know a design with more redundancies exists. This issue also applies to other firearms as well (not just Sig). I prefer the Glock/Walther etc setup that has a firing pin block just behind the breechface.
@@bladeflyer6 i think it's worth mentioning the SCD device is a great peace of mind for reholstering a Glock and it's better in my opinion than using a thumb safety on a striker fired gun. Most people aren't aware of the device but for those in the know it's a great addition to any Glock.
Always assumed Sig to be a premium brand. Never had an issue with the 365. However, I no longer carry it as I quickly discovered red dots were not for me especially in self-defense, even with aging eyes. A Shield Plus is now my carry gun. Respect that you've had issues with Sig and voice them so others can learn from them..
holosun he507k-gr x2, old man. Hehehe. Source: 40 year old 365 macro owner and astigmatism haver If you're still unsure, head to the Cabelas nearby and test one out over the counter. The circle-dot reticle option saves the day.
@@sheepherder911 the dot not always in the correct spot on draw. I'm sure it was me and more practice would have resolved. Just not a chance I'm willing to take. Range or practice fine. Not in a split second life decision. Same optic btw.
@34dawgsgo I here you. I always considered the pistol sights to be more reflex based systems than something more accuracy based like an lpvo. For that reason, if I see green come up in my eyeline, I fire at the target past it. Most shooting occur within 30 feet, and that seems like the enough (lack of space) to get away with less accuracy (not that you would want to blind fire or anything). That being said, a flashlight and some nice tritium sights are great as the two main accessories to any EDC.
@@sheepherder911oddly enough I like lasers. This one comes on when assuming the grip. It's green. Sighted in at 20 ft. We are just weird with our likes. Better to have one and not need it than the reverse.
Disclaimer before I say more, I carried the original 1980's West German stamped P226, still one of the most accurate, reliable, and rugged pistols I have ever carried. That being said, current Sig's made here in the States will NEVER be the same quality of the German made guns. The rash of issues with American Sigs are because the company's quality control is not what it should be. I do believe that some end users get some of their firearms which have properly spec'd parts and will likely render good service but with the company's batch testing and parts outsourcing, it is a crap shoot. My P320c suffered the typical Dead Trigger issue all due to an out of spec trigger par. The P320 FCU is hypersensitive to the parts specs and timing. So no, no more Sigs for me. All personal experience from 3 decades of using multiple brands of duty type firearms.
@@RUSTYCHEVYTRUCK You again huh? Everytime that Glock jams up on you think of my comment. You can lie to yourself and others but not me! Glocks are shit! You carry it because of the name only.
You’re on the internet, basing your opinion on yourself, judging people on the internet doing the same thing. Welcome to the internet 👍, let us show you around 🕊️
I truly wanted to love the 365 , in fact I have never tried a new gun at the range and felt so immediately accurate with it. By the time I saved up to pick one up I went back to the range I had rented one at before. I asked to rent it once more to confirm for a final decision. The range master was straight forward with me and told me it had broke to the point of needing to be sent back to sig . I remarked that it must have been seeing a lot of rental use but he was clear that they routinely cleaned and maintained them equally. I decided to do a little more research and asked different owners directly about issues and most hadn't had any, but I still didn't feel ready to pick one up. Love your channel man, keep it up! Helps too that I just so happen to have had a lot of my experiences validated with the experience that you share on many different brands and platforms. Good valuable content.
Please do not buy. I have one. Rusts like crazy. Finish is absolutely terrible. Slide never locks back unless purpose holding grip very low. I own a few SIGS and still prefer S&W.
@@rjo8500 I was actually considering picking up an LEM version too. The DASA has been a favorite action of mine since 1983 or so when I bought a SIG P230. That was my first encounter with that type of action. No safety to deal with, no chance of an accidental discharge on the first shot or coming out the holster; followed by a single action there after. Honestly, I do not know why it is not mandatory for PD. Although I like Striker fire, it is inherently more dangerous and especially for the less technically skilled shooter or under stress.
@@boasecuritytechnologies2153 You’re preaching to the choir lol. I still have my Beretta 92f I bought in 1988. I went through the academy with it and carried it on duty until 2004 when we transitioned over to the Glock. I also have and carry several older Sig Sauer P229’s including a Legion. Also a West German P228, P226, and P220 I’ve owned for a long time. I do have the H&K P30L in DA/SA. And although I don’t carry it, I shoot it very well. DA/SA and LEM are my favorite carry actions. My Glocks are seeing a lot of safe time. I think you’ll like the LEM.
My P365 XL has over 5k rounds through it, no malfunctions. I trust my pistol with my life. However, an acquaintance of mine had light primer strike issues that was caused by a buildup of grease in the striker channel assembly. Once he cleaned that out he's had no issues...but, as a result he doesn't use it as an EDC because he still has doubts on its reliability.
I agree! Be careful of those paid gun reviews because the guns are given for free to them and the gun tubers have to say positive things about the guns they review. I am a SWAT counter terrorism operator and we only use Glock 19 or 19X.
Carry what’s comfortable for you. I own the small p365 and the p365 XL and both guns have run flawless for me. The problems you claim to have with yours, I guess you got a lemon. I carry mine with all confidence in them to protect myself and anyone around me if something were to break out. Glocks are good pistols and I do own a G19 and a G43 I do rotate them into my carry options from time to time and they’re great pistols. But the p365 is what I carry most to be honest. You do you and stop trying to push your views on others.
Almost a year since this video was posted..... and my P365-380 still runs like a charm... no issues. Although I had my share of drama with my originally released in 9mm. With time, replaced every part in the FCU, replaced the recoil spring assembly, no problems since. All replaced parts were OEM parts... But I still love my Springfield Hellcat.
Every brand has their fans. My p365 was flawless, but didn’t fit my hand well, so I don’t shoot it much. I had a G26 that was my most unreliable gun, but the rest of the Glocks were reliable. Both are good generally.
It's a compelling point. I just recently got mine, born on date shows it built a few months ago. Hopefully all the bugs that the earlier builds experienced have been worked out. So far it's been running great, no problems.
@narendra7817 I did hear about the rust thing, also same concern for my LCP Max. I suppose that's the nature of the beast when carrying against your body with anything other than stainless steel slide.
if you are watching this lovely person. carry whatever you want and don't listen to youtubers. they have their own agendas and what they say are not necessarily TRUE. try them guns out and pick. every gun has their own quirks. find whats good for you. peace!
I agree. I’m a HUGE Sig Sauer fan going way back to the West German made era. However, I’ve never owned a P365 or a P320. I was around when the Sig Sauer P225, 228, 220 and 229 were new on the gun store shelves. I’ve owned them all and still do, six to be exact. They worked right out of the box flawlessly and are to this day are still super accurate. I recently bought a Legion P229. But even with that purchase I dragged my feet being concerned about the quality. I have 800 rounds through the Legion with no hiccups. But I’m still not trusting it 100%. Several hundred more and I will. I also have a Gen 3 G19 and a G26 and have never had a single malfunction after thousands of rounds.
My late brother in-law ran a pinto station wagon with slicks in the late 70’s. His sweet spot was at 20mph(rolling start). My point is that set up worked great for him providing he controlled the starting speed. Same goes for sidearms, whatever works.
I carry Sig, Glock, FN, RIA. My prefer carry is the p365 with a manual safety in the Alabama pocket holster. I also carry the p365 XXL IWB. I've run approx 5000 rounds with absolutely no issues with any of the four p365's I have. I load my own 9mm in brand new brass so I know my ammo is solid. To rule out malfunction issues, did you have the same malfunctions with that aftermarket barrel or any other after market parts? That could be the culprit.
I’ve had very little to no issues with my p365xl. No rust and hundreds of rounds through it. Funny enough I’ve had ZERO malfunctions with my Taurus G2C and it’s been a few years of shooting it. Whatever you’re comfortable with. I believe all guns will fail, so have proper training to tap rack and clear jams
My experience with the p365 (2020 production model) has been rock solid reliability. Mine has over 1100 rounds of various different types of ammo through it, with zero malfunctions. Everything from 50 grain liberty civil defense to 147 grain Buffalo Bore +P with no problems.
Been saying it for years, if Glock fixed the ergonomics, there would be nothing to complain about. That being said, I trust my Glocks with my life and have no intention of replacing any of them.
This video is great. I fell for all the hype when the 365 released and after one week of use and carry it nowlives in a safe. I cannot carry something that I have to brush rust off of every few days. 43 and 43x carried for years in same conditions and never found myself brushing rust off of either.
I've never had rust on any of my magazines until I bought the P365. I have several other handguns and no rust issues, so it's the quality of the Sig magazine. That said, I have not had any malfunctions.
Just embrace the hate my man. Some people only want others to confirm and validate their opinions. The best part is, you've determined your own opinions on your experiences. If they can't accept that then they should probably move on. I've had other experiences than you with some of the firearms you love/dislike, and yet I'm still here because I'm an adult and can handle others opinions without slinging attacks at others.
When the X-Macro rusts, it starts at Magazines and the Sights. Goes from there. I'm planning on plating my X-Macro magazines myself, when I have time. Might eventually sell some later on, but I don't think people will buy them for $80 to $85 dollars.
The sig mags are the part of the 365 I despise. I currently carry a canik, but liked my sig. videos like this are why I ALWAYS tell people to get hands on, shoot multiple guns, and talk to people BEFORE buying a gun.
@@jason200912I am not a metallurgist, so take this for what it’s worth. I think it’s because aluminum does not have the same shear and tension capabilities. It’s too soft, especially for the how thins the material is. On the Glocks: Glock is ok, but not any better than any other gun in the same class. In fact, my canik out of the box will out shoot any Glock out of the box. The triggers suck, but even if they didn’t I don’t want to buy a $600 gun that I have to upgrade to make it perform how I want it to.
Carry what you want . They are all tools and are subjected to failure. That being said I had failures with Glocks and not 365? Get it running correctly and run another 500-1000 through and start carrying it again . Just because a pistol has 1 failure doesn’t mean it’s trash or unworthy of carrying
Getting My Glock 26 next week and man I can watch your videos all day you've reassured me I made a good purchase and can't wait to see what I add in the future !
Got 2 of the xl versions both older ones. Been carrying it for several years and have put a lot of rounds through it with 0 issues. Only issue is the wear on the slide from my holster and where it rubs against me. But no rust. Also i dont swim at the beach with it so 🤷
Yep my 365 ive been EDC’ing since January that i oil every couple weeks has started to rust exactly where you’ve pointed out. Shits ridiculous on that expensive of a handgun and magazine. So i call Sig and basically get told yeah when you carry a gun IWB you will experience rust issues unless its OWB. You literally designed it for concealed/pocket carry. How do you not consider sweat affecting your components/ finish? Trading this POS in this weekend for a hellcat or another glock.
Malfunctions happened prior as documented on my channel, it was bone stock. It actually runs since getting it back from my gun smith, even with the after market parts. Good try tho
@spnfirearms are you saying I'm wrong in general, as if there are not many examples of modifications affecting reliability? Your anecdote does not disprove a logically true point. Many people much more experienced than you in the gun world recommend leaving carry guns as close to factory as possible.
@@mac001texas look dude, the "modifications lead to malfunctions" crap is at best partially true. Most mods out today that people seriously look at getting add something of significant value, or don't touch the operating mechanism. This isn't 2003 anymore with Roland specials barely running 147gr hp.
I live in Houston and you can barely carry IWB for extended periods without rusting up the gun from your own sweat. I try to carry OWB with some sort of breathable button shirt and I leave it unbuttoned
3rd and last comment! Please don't listen to these little kids that no nothing!! The 365 line is the top selling most dependable striker fired in its class so don't let these little boy Glock fans that spend all there time and money shopping for after market junk so they can break perfectly designed and engineered firearms . good grief kids stop shopping the Glock store, mcarbo, and Johnson stick upgrades...
Redemption for Sig would be for them to update their qc and admit their mistakes with a full blown RECALL, not voluntary upgrade, of their p320's. And maybe a gen 2 or 3 of the 320/365 that is free to anyone who sends in their current 320/365. But I also want a toilet made of solid gold, and that ain't happening
@@geekofsteal I agree 100% it’s been years and sig still having these same problems and QC issues I think sig could be the best firearm manufacturer out there but ultimately they overprice their product and take shortcuts I feel like anyone supporting sig by buying their products are not helping the situation.
Amen brother! 1985 I started shooting IPSC which later became USPSA. There were two guns 1911 45acp and the BHP 9mm. I was saving up for a custom built hi cap 1911 when the glock 40cal came out. 15+1 and cost $380. It ran great I bought a 40 cal long for the 3lb trigger swap it in my 22 model skateboard tape grip and Robar sights. From that time every gun manufacturer number one pistol is a copy of the original glock design for good reason. Today more guns and models it will make your head swim. I have some crazy stories and I will never change from glock. Like you said we all have experience that matter. I have carried a round in the chamber for 35 years with zero mishaps!
My P365xl with NO CUSTOMIZATION has run flawless from day one. Zero issues. Is my daily carry. Those laser sculpted grip panels and barrels and whatever else you’ve done to those pistols can introduce malfunctions that aren’t there in a factory gun. Just saying. I won’t say that a factory gun won’t malfunction because my Ruger LC9 malfunctioned until I re-machined the firing pin hole. What I’m saying is that if you heavily mod a carry gun you are asking for trouble.
My 365x had the trigger reset spring come unattached around 400 rounds and I'll never trust it for edc again. Was an easy fix, but in a life and death situation I don't want to be thinking about if my gun is going to have a dead trigger after the first couple shots or not. I also found out sig's warranty is trash and that's a big problem for me. Wanted to charge me $55 for shipping to fix a $10 part because I owned it for longer than a year, even though it has a low round count.... gfy sig.
I hate sig because of the p320 debacle but man the modularity is a very cool concept that could have some serious advantage some day. PSA is working on a modular dagger called the switch, I'm really looking forward to it hitting the market.
My Glock 26 3 gen jammed every other magazine well into 900 rounds. Had the range officers shoot it, also jammed, used various types of ammo, almost all jammed. Gave up on it, sold it. I’ve had two 365s including the legion now, perfectly running, not a single hiccup. I like Glocks but fuck 26 specifically
Love my p365 it replaced my glock 43. I've had no issues in 5000 rounds. I find it to be superior to the glock 43/43x in every way except the finish. Sig needs a better coating at their price point. Love my glocks but Sig has them beat IMO. GLOCK needs to update their guns. Yeah Sig has issues on new gun designs but they are innovating not selling different sizes of the same gun for 40 years.
I have a Sig 365 380 w/manuel safety. I have put about 300 rounds of Underwood solid copper bullets through it with no issues. I do not train with anything I do not carry. Felt recoil and other properties differ from ammo to ammo. It is expensive though. But thus far I have not had any issues. I am a Glock aficionado and own several calibers and sizes. This is my first Sig. So far it seems to work fine. Only time will tell.
I love my P365. But after inspection, the top corner of the barell chipped off a tiny amount. And the finish is wearing off. I need to find some finishing compound?
I’m stuck. I love the design, but have had issues with 2/2 that I own = failure to extract. First one went to Sig, got a lecture about steel ammo and they replaced extractor, polished chamber no issues since but I’m not sure it’s seen quite 1k rounds since then. My second went to them twice both times they said it was fine after 100 rounds and sent it back. I replaced extractor and polished chamber (had to buy parts and equipment). It ran to about 1k and last range trip I had probably 5 FTE’s. It wasn’t super dirty or dry. I just polished the chamber again. I need to divorce from these things. My 226 is rock solid, anything polymer I’ve had from them is shit. I had issues with a 320 also.
The 365/320 have fire control parts outsourced in India and have been proven to be out of spec with “rounded over” edges where they should be sharp angles for positive engagement. Sig’s settling law suits for millions outside of court says it all. Why settle out of court, you ask? So the court findings in a case that is won does not become public record which would prove to the public that the guns are out of spec and dangerous. The last great guns Sig made were the P22x series. After that, they became Taurus grade.
I've had my G19 fail multiple times with ETS mags, so I just stick with the OEM mags. I just picked up a 365 Xmacro because to be frank, it's way more comfortable to carry...like...alot more comfortable.
Sig makes disposable mass market consumer items. Glock makes serious tools for professionals. Morons that don’t understand this say Glock doesn’t innovate, but the truth is Glock provides a reliable and consistent weapon that works.
There's more than just a small number of Glock owners and lovers who say that. So, just please watch out for calling people morons en masse. Thank you. 👍
Youre right. Carried a P365 for a while. It was a decent pistol and I didn’t have any problems, but I just didn’t like it. The grip feels weird to me and I started second guessing it with all of Sig’s issues. Give me a Glock 43x any day of the week over this thing!
Nah, just keep it up man. Like i said in the other video when you had this topic. People just can't seem to take criticism anymore. Keep up the good work!
Sig fan boys get hella butt hurt when you talk bad about their pistols! Mofo's are hella sensitive! There is a reason why so many people talk bad about em....and it's always the same issue, QC! With that said....the 365 xl spectre comp does interest me, but because of this issue were talking about I just cant get my self to buy a sig.
Yup, you can only go by your own experience. Mine, fortunately, has been flawless, but I won't own a P365 because of the way it hammers my palm. My P365XL, however, has been absolutely flawless with almost 2,000 rounds of 6 different FMJs and XTP hollow points and Xtreme Defenders. It has yet to have an imperfection, and I carry it every day since early 2020. A Magguts +2 kit gives my 12 round magazine a 14 round capacity (+1) without adding any length to the grip, and a 17 round back-up mag has me well stocked when I am out and about.
My P365XL’s trigger spring broke immediately out of the box after the second magazine worth of shots. After taking out the FCU and reassembling the trigger spring I managed to get a few more mags shot through it without any issues but that has ruined my trust and confidence in this gun and my ability to carry it comfortably. I will be immediately trading it in soon for a 43x and I highly doubt I’ll ever purchase another Sig.
All hype no substance. That is the power of the p365. I like how people who like the compactness of the design end up buying the upsized version (p365xl), when they could just buy a proven Glock 43x for the same price... And guess what? It doesn't rust in the holster!
Let’s not forget the major issues of Glock 43s it was horrible but people just acted like nothing happened P365 is so good that people try to attack everything but the actual firearm. I love Glock but sig is amazing. I’ve put over 10000 rounds through sig. I’ve had 2 failure to eject in p229. One failure to fire that I also put in the Glock and it still didn’t shoot and I kept the bullet. 0 failures in my p320 0 failures in p365 0 in p366x 0 in my Glock 19 0 in my g26.
My brother has the 365 XL. So far he has 800-1000 rounds through it with no issues. I have a 320 carry. At first I didn't like the 365 because the grip was too small for me. But that is fixable with upgrades. My 320 is just to big to carry comfortably. I'm going to buy a 365 xmacro next week. They are great great guns.
I will admit if you carry it in hot and humid weather everyday it’s definitely going to wear down really REALLY fast. No matter how often I clean it it still gets rust in between cracks within a days notice lol
I rented one along side a shield plus and my glock 43x, shot some cheap ammo from 2A warehouse likely the main issue but and had about 9 light primer strikes with the sig , 4 with the shield and 1 with the glock, the ergonomics on the sig to me just don’t make sense there is no space for for my thumb on my support hand unlike the shield that gives plenty of space and even has stippling for it , the glock is a in between the two with just enough space to be comfortable for my thumb to rest.
Had a very early P365 model that was crap. Sent it back to Sig & was no better. Got rid of it for an early model Springfield Hellcat. No regrets. 100% reliable, out of the box & ever since. I also own Glocks, but don't carry them as much.
On my 2nd 365. It functions better than the first. I even waited until year 3 to get it the first time. It carries well while I work. My biggest issue is just how much it corrodes while being carried. At the end of the day it’s a tool in the toolbox and I don’t have to carry a larger duty proven handgun. It works. I’m good with it but I absolutely hate it.
Never had any issues with my 80s and early 90s production P22x Sigs. Love them. Shot the hell out of them, thousands of rounds each. A handful failures over that time. I bought a p365 Tacops last yr, first P3xx polymer frame Sig I ever owned…and the last. Extraction failures and failures to load, one or two rounds for every box I put through it - over a thousand plus rounds, thinking maybe it was break in. I tried half a dozen reliable-in-every-other-firearm factory ammo brand, some were worse, but NONE were 100% reliable in that thing. Spent money on mags, grip modules, springs, extractors…no change. Can’t and won’t say this is a persistent Sig quality issue, but the quality of the polymer frame P365 I bought last year vs the half dozen alloy and steel frame sigs I havee owned over the prior 30 years, not even in the same frickin league. I gave it a shot, I won’t give it another…but I might wind up with another P229, P226, or P220 when I burn the ones I have to the ground (which means never of course).
I know plenty of people who own, carry and shoot their 365’s and have no issues. Good luck on whatever you want to carry next. I’m sure you’ll find buyers for your Sigs 🍻

It’s all about what your experience has been for sure. My p365 has been absolutely flawless for me, so it’s earned its spot in my pocket.
365 9mm models are the 1 seller 2023. SIG moved a ton of them. I can see why the became popular BUT I'm not in a rush to get 1.
I hear you and feel the same way.
Ya. This dude is getting lemons. I've had the 365xl for 2 years, not a single issue, no jams, probably over 3k rounds.
Carry mine everyday and have put thousands of rounds through it not one malfunction
Do you want a medal?

people care too much about what other people carry.
@@VanTheMan1099exactly
Best EDC is a snub nose revolver, few moving parts, nothing to malfunction

Stay safe
I dusted off my 23 Gen 4 yesterday and was such a blast to shoot . I'm loving the Glock 23 just perfect size for my needs and accurate.
I feel the same way I keep coming back to 40sw pistols for edc.
40 is awesome. I carry a bunch of ammo. It got heavy at the end of the day. I switched to 357 Sig for that reason.
Good to see people using what they like. The 23 has been my go to since 91.

I’ve never had an issue I shoot multiple times a week with 3 of them. I’ve had more malfunctions with Glocks I have tbh
"hundreds and hundreds of rounds" 😂 cmon
I will say, I had a P365X with zero issues. No rust, no malfunctions. The only thing I encountered was the slide not locking on the last round. Sometimes it locked, most times it wouldn’t. The reason I got rid of it was it just was uncomfortable to shoot for me.

M&P Shield Plus is a rock solid alternative as well
I’ve thought about that or a CZp10m
I would argue the Shield plus 🛡🔫 is the gold standard every other carry gun should be measured against.
+agree shield plus is the best shooting micro and ultra reliable
The best hands down . The whole M&p line is underrated.
Shield plus is better than Glocks and the 365s, straight up
Extremely well said.
Fair enough! Respect and thanks for watching!
The Swiss, and German made Sig P220s are amazing pistols, with great design. Wish Sig USA would import some Swiss stuff, but they will never do that.
So unforntuate u chose a p365 over a canik. I'll never go back to mine. Looking to sell it
I've not had any function problems from any of my 365s.
Plus I use Magguts internals in magazines so I have 14+1 capacity. Smaller than a G19 but one round less. Tradeoff? Yes. Acceptable? Yes.
@@michaelschaffer9165 gotcha makes sense. Didn’t initially consider what is in the belt line doesn’t change with that grip swap.
Never tried Magguts personally but sounds like a nice compact setup. Glad it’s working for you.
@@michaelschaffer9165I second the magguts…14 rounds of reliability, unlike the kool-aid drinkers putting SA15’s in their 43x’s and getting failures.
Bummer you’ve had issues. My P365 with a macro comp upper has been 100% for me and my daily. 😊

Well, one thing that NOBODY can debate is Glocks reliability, that's for sure!!!
Then STOP BUYING THEN...Like orrest Gump says...Stupid is as stupid does...
I agree! Be careful of those paid gun reviews because the guns are given for free to them and the gun tubers have to say positive things about the guns they review. I am a SWAT counter terrorism operator and we only use Glock 19 or 19X.
What after market barrel is that? Could that be an issue?
But I still love my Springfield Hellcat.
how often do you go a shooting range? I think I have a problem....lol I go almost every other day,,, sometimes 5x a week.... bad addiction.
I’m jealous ahaha
For example, your draw to first shot times and accuracy.
What do you do for earpro since you go that often? I’m worried about hearing damage
I am a Sig fan. I don't care if you don't carry Sig . JUST CARRY !!
Thanks for the vids SPN you helped me make my decision on getting a holster and a Glock 27
No problem man, glad you like it! My 27 has been in my rotation for over 5.5 years now. Hasnt left. Respect
if you are watching this lovely person. carry whatever you want and don't listen to youtubers. they have their own agendas and what they say are not necessarily TRUE. try them guns out and pick. every gun has their own quirks. find whats good for you. peace!
Did your P365 fail before or after you had it modified?
Yea it’s true.. I love the sig, just can’t stand the issue and don’t trust the quality… respect
I've never had rust on any of my magazines until I bought the P365. I have several other handguns and no rust issues, so it's the quality of the Sig magazine. That said, I have not had any malfunctions.
I just subscribed. I love the honesty and no BS
Nah I had to smile and laugh when you pulled the 26 out🗣️YESIRRRR
You guys trying to EDC’s modified guns……….your results will vary.
I modified them AFTER reliability issues. It’s all up on the channel my man
When the X-Macro rusts, it starts at Magazines and the Sights. Goes from there. I'm planning on plating my X-Macro magazines myself, when I have time. Might eventually sell some later on, but I don't think people will buy them for $80 to $85 dollars.
Wonder why they use steel instead of aluminum for mags
Same thing happened to my shield s15 mags, completely rusted the inside and outside of them.
Magazine rust is no joke. I've never seen factory magazines that get rusty so fast
Geez. This channel is about as much fun as dental work.
I've had no issues with my base model 365 and I love it. I shoot it better than my full size guns. It makes no sense to me, but I'm not complaining.
Guys don't modify your carry guns with aftermarket barrels or other parts and mechanisms, it's just asking for malfunctions
@@mac001texasI love how you ignored what he said entirely. Just don't bother commenting.
@@marcusborderlands6177 I like how you replied to my random comment, which is even more useless than the comment itself
@@mac001texas look dude, the "modifications lead to malfunctions" crap is at best partially true. Most mods out today that people seriously look at getting add something of significant value, or don't touch the operating mechanism. This isn't 2003 anymore with Roland specials barely running 147gr hp.
I have two P365s. Both have run flawlessly through thousands of rounds.
Oh...and Glocks suck. Jus sayin.
I live in Houston and you can barely carry IWB for extended periods without rusting up the gun from your own sweat. I try to carry OWB with some sort of breathable button shirt and I leave it unbuttoned
Sig costs too much to have all these issues and they are destroying their reputation
“Know”
Whoops 🤭
Sigs are garbage now and that’s what it is they QC has been horrible and I really think there’s no retribution for them at this point just my opinion.
Most people make decisions for emotional reasons. They don't think they feel. Decisions often take evaluation and comparison.
My take on politics, religion, economics, etc 😅
My 365x had the trigger reset spring come unattached around 400 rounds and I'll never trust it for edc again. Was an easy fix, but in a life and death situation I don't want to be thinking about if my gun is going to have a dead trigger after the first couple shots or not. I also found out sig's warranty is trash and that's a big problem for me. Wanted to charge me $55 for shipping to fix a $10 part because I owned it for longer than a year, even though it has a low round count.... gfy sig.
Yup exactly.. mine was just over 420 rounds…. Respect
Yea my Buddy's broke under the first 100 rounds. Never would trust that.
I would say I'll buy your Glock 43 from you buddy but with that new ATF rule it might make you a felon😂
They definitely skimped out on the finish and the quality steel for their magazine
that XL is beautiful---I've had issues with BOTH my P356 and P365XL---I carry my S&W CSX and Ruger security 380 now.
I love my P365. But after inspection, the top corner of the barell chipped off a tiny amount. And the finish is wearing off. I need to find some finishing compound?
new here... what am I missing that you labeled the timestamp "Glock XL" ?
I love the honesty in your reviews, hard to find that nowadays especially were others are sponsored to only talk about the good.
In Glock I trust, I have many, never an issue with any. One is always within reaching distance 24/7
Carried a P365 for a while. It was a decent pistol and I didn’t have any problems, but I just didn’t like it. The grip feels weird to me and I started second guessing it with all of Sig’s issues. Give me a Glock 43x any day of the week over this thing!
I use to love sig. But after around 500 rounds through my p365 it started jamming!!! Round after round! I sold it. I now carry and love my HK VP9SK
Are there any subcompact 9mm that you would consider reliable and would carry other than Glock?
Nah, just keep it up man. Like i said in the other video when you had this topic. People just can't seem to take criticism anymore.
Keep up the good work!
Sig fan boys get hella butt hurt when you talk bad about their pistols! Mofo's are hella sensitive! There is a reason why so many people talk bad about em....and it's always the same issue, QC! With that said....the 365 xl spectre comp does interest me, but because of this issue were talking about I just cant get my self to buy a sig.
I used to have a 320 I get your point
@@steven3379 ha ha, very true...I remember.
I chose the M&P over the P320/365 for my striker fireds. I do love my P229 though.
Shield has a spongy trigger 😂
@@tesla82111 365 has a Spunchbop headass trigger. Hardly ever felt a worse one.
Just a controversy video. There’s a reason why the 365 is one of the best selling self defense guns since it came out. Still the king
amen
I had to send my sig back twice. Same deal I don't carry it because of trust
Enjoy your rust lmao
